3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday: Good morning 🙂 Up early but not yet dressed (08:45). DH is on a phone call with the surgery - results of last week’s blood test. DH has informed me that everything is Normal - cholesterol, liver function, blood count etc, etc. & the nurse practitioner is sending the full results to DH by text so that he can show his cardiologist tomorrow.
I will go straight into cheerleading
Liverpool_Anne, it sounds like you had a lovely time on Monday 😊 Very exciting to have a wedding to attend 👏 You do realise that you will require a minimum of TWO new outfits to take account of potential weather issues - an Indian summer or maybe a breezy autumn day 😉 ………….. 🤔 you might have to make that Three - might be a rainy day 😉 Some excellent decluttering before your reflexology session 👏 especially your continuing work on the unwanted tree 👏 Please, please be careful 🙏 What a great idea for a holiday destination for vulpix 😊 I have never been to Jersey (nor Guernsey or even the IoW for that matter 😔) & you have made it sound idyllic 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & your gold star is being polished up ready to send as you are so close to your half year target 🙂
Good decluttering Floss 👏 & I love that you & crazybunnylady4 have come to an arrangement re the yarn 😊
Florenceem, shame about missing out on the graduation but hopefully your DD will take lots of photos 🙂 Another very busy evening at the SA 👏
Lovely cheerleading vulpix 😊 Sounds like you had a marvellous time hitching around Europe - very adventurous 🥳 A bit of a party animal - I am surprised that MrV can keep up with you 😉 I have been racking my brains trying to remember how we arranged meet ups pre mobile phones but have drawn a bit of a blank 🤨 However we did used to manage it - a bit of a mystery really 😉 Excellent work sorting out the shed 👏 & how brilliant that you had space in your craft room for your new found treasures 🥳 Fingers crossed that the rest of the listed items will be snapped up quickly 🤞It also sounds like you have a busy Autumn planned 😊 so hopefully DD1 will take all her stuff so that you can start & finish decluttering the spare room 🤞 Good luck with both finishing the outside work & tackling the loft later in the year 🍀
crazybunnylady4, Mac is a happy bunny now that he has had his nails trimmed 😅 I do apologise but I really couldn’t resist 🤣 Some great decluttering 👏 Fingers crossed that you have dry weather for the rest of the week so that your handyman can get the damp proofing sorted 🤞So pleased that you helped Floss to declutter her yarn & how lovely that you will be decluttering it into blankets 😊👏
daisy_1571, how very ‘wicked’ of you 😈😉 poor MrDaisy 😅
Florenceem, another busy day at SA 😊 I did smile at your comment “Mr F said that he didn't make a cup of tea as he thought I wouldn't be back quickly.” 😊 He knows you so well 🥹
Great work sorting out the conservatory crazybunnylady4 👏 Hope the weather is dry so that the blankets & towels can dry outside 🤞 Good luck sewing together the crocheted squares for the animal blanket 🍀 Hope you got it finished 🙂
London_1, yippee 🥳 Shame about the awful weather but at least now you can get started on your new life on your beloved IoW 🥹
suzeesu2000, now I am wondering if you & London_1 have ever bumped into each other as she has been visiting for years 🧐 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & Good luck with your listings 🍀 Just wondering if you are the guitar player? You might have noticed that I am quite nosy 😂 Although the reason I ask is that I am considering arranging a Musical Evening on the EDT - virtual of course but it keeps me amused 😉
Excellent decluttering at your dad’s place, TC77 👏 Good luck with the car search 🍀 Hopefully you can find a dealer online with a few cars that you might consider & then maybe your DB or a friend can accompany you 🤞Hope the valuations go well 🙏 Sounds like you had a lovely time on Sunday 😊 Your friend’s house sounds amazing, I especially like the idea of having bells to call the staff from the kitchen 😅
Great stories weenancy 😊 You have had some real adventures & I would like to thank you for sharing them 👏 Hope Di is OK 🤞
Lovely cheerleading post daisy_1571 😊
QueenJess, sorry to hear that work is so stressful 😩 Fingers crossed that yesterday was just an aberration & that your last 2 weeks will be quieter & that you will be left alone to get on with the work 🙏
Well done on decluttering a house Florafauna 👏 I will now keep everything crossed that contracts will be exchanged on your new house before the end of this week 🤞🙏 Whilst you are waiting you might as well pop into the TLC Carriage for a rest 😊 The waiting staff are still honing their skills in readiness for our (virtual) Orient Express style adventure 😊
Soontobeoap, it sounds like there is the potential for a Declutterati meet up 😊 once London_1 has settled in 😉
Whilst I have been cheerleading the window cleaners have been 😊 Of course now that the windows have been cleaned it has clouded over & the wind has picked up 😔 All caught up so I will post this & finally get dressed 😅 Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 🤞

Daisy, I think it’s Lawrence’s hair you like. 🤣
Weenancy, Goodness, who knew family tree research was dangerous. I always thought it a genteel pastime! Sciatica is the worst. I had it 20 years before surgery which has improved it dramatically. I used to get a bit of relief by bending forward over a table and just resting my top there whilst giving my spine a stretch.
Strong start suzeesu. Very good idea to set a timer, especially when you get down to the tiny bits that can be difficult to decide what to do with.
Mrs SD ,I thought you were going to say you shredded your to do lists! Mine grows longer and longer. I can't wait for a lull in commitments (great film) to get some of them done.
The threat of some summer weather has passed for the North at any rate. Groan. I would settle for just a full dry day.
So today, tidy round for the cleaning lady, empty the car of the equipment from last nights job, load up the drawers for the Ukranian lady, deliver the drawers, collect DD1 and OH from Manchester airport, eat lasagne I made last night, sort out sleeping arrangements, visit the giant plant, visit my Mum, etc, etc etc.
Mr V has managed to swap his weekend shifts for a shift tomorrow which will help massively over the week end. He is having a wisdom tooth out on Friday. Saturday is carnival day in Buxton. Mr V is in the carnival and then DJ at the pub he works for at night, get home about 3am and we are on a stall at Bakewell show on the Sunday with the casualties group.
Monday, do nowt.
Recycling, just using up food stocks ... and we need to buy cotton buds and kitchen roll, not connected. We are coming to the end of MIL's stash. I am also using up the dregs of my wool stash into hats for the charity shop.
Need to get a wriggle on now. Vx

I am Daisy and I'm a dyed in the wool LLB fan.
Cathartic to get that out in the open
I'll bring my recorder to the musical evening
Glad bloods all good mr sd
Hope wisdom tooth extraction goes well Mr v. I'm a sceptic of lots of things but I had put off getting a wisdom tooth out for years. It had come in almost sideways with the eating part pointing towards my cheek and I was convinced it would be horrendous to come out, it would shatter, they would cut or bruise my cheek etc etc. Anyway in the days leading up to appointment I started visualising it coming out smoothly, visualising my gum already loosening around it, kinda visualising pushing it out of my gum. Whether it had any effect or not i don't know but I can honestly say i didn't know. Id only been in chair 10 mins in total and I was gesturing over to Mr daisy asking him what was going on as the dentist and dental nurse person were faffing about behind me at their cabinets and I was just wanting them to get on with it as I was so tense and he said its done, they've taken it out already. I thought they'd only been checking it was numb.
I'm currently stuck on couch as I came in to find diary and the little cat insisted she was due more lap time so I cant move. Aaagh, so much to do but kitty comes first 🐈

Hello all, congrats on the house move Jackie, hope you settle into your new surroundings.
I think I have a lot less stuff now than when I last moved house, however the last few months there has been a lot coming in and less going out….
Maybe it’s necessary - I was due some new clothes. I’ve become a bit addicted to Vinted- anyone else? It’s quite MSE if you’re only buying what you need 😂
LO is continuing to declutter her books she has grown out of. She regularly goes through her clothes to give to another little girl. I am very proud of her. Hope she maintains these good habits!I haven’t been following very closely , not sure where the time is going, but best wishes to everyone 😊12 -
Mrs SD, my friends house was great, not huge so I think the help.must have come in daily so unsure if breakfast in bed would have been on the cards.
Item sold , packaged and due to be posted in my lunchbreak.
Will be developing a strategy for next 7 days to do more in my house before back to my dads. Want new stair carpet and one bedroom.but no space to accommodate the now much reduced stuff in the bedroom

A very quick check in as I have to run to get DS to swimming in a minute. Today I tackled the out of control kitchen container drawer. Still more that I would like to get rid of in there, but I think DH will complain. I also did a little test to see if I could find 5 things to get rid of in the living room (the room that's always the most tidy and least cluttered) and I found it relatively easy. Means there must be lots more to go around the house!3 more things in today... an iSpy book for DD I plan to do with her over the holidays whilst we are out and about and then a puzzle and book I picked up from Buy Nothing for me. I plan to read/complete them and will then potentially declutter them again once done.8 - random puzzle pieces recycled

Mega busy day at SA.
Wednesday is friendship/lunch club anyway and I came in to an explosion of donations in the foyer.
There was also stuff that had been borrowed and returned.
I had the help of a Ukrainian school boy doing work experience - he went up and down the stairs with sleeping bags and camping mats.
I filled and carried out to the crate 11 sacks of textile recycling as well as taking a cash donation and writing a receipt plus taking in a food bank donation.
It was a really busy day of what we call - the ding dong ministry - two doorbells to the building. We never know what we are answering the door to. There was a new couple of rough sleepers who needed help and we gave them lunch.
I took home a dinner & pudding for one of the lunch club members who was helping today at her own Church. I put it in my fridge and delivered it to her house late afternoon.
I was asked if I could go in the minibus to children's music lessons today so only a short time at home this afternoon - I eventually got back at 7.45.
Mr F took a trolley of stuff to the charity shop this morning.
I will fill the trolley again for him to take tomorrow.
I am unlocking tomorrow at SA and waiting there for a delivery as the officers are away for the day.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

So much craft stuff has been made up into cards, bags, trimmed boxes and baskets, diamond painting pencil cases and key chains. Not sure how much has gone but at least one bin bag full and it has all been used on projects. Very pleased with progress. It has pushed me to try things that I would never have tried before. I have added a few pics just too give you an idea of what I have been up to. I have been working at my craft stash for 2 years now and I can really see the benefits. So to all the crafters amongst us I just want to say you can get through it. The added benefit is that I have made up enough stuff that could raise £250 for charity.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 102 made and 5 mended,
