It rained on & off ALL day with some very heavy showers 😔 I wrote a shopping list for DH who managed to avoid the rain there & back to the sm 🙂 Whilst he was out I dealt with my mail & also went through a pile of magazines - putting 10 of them in the recycling wheelie bin. Dismantled a large cardboard box which went in the recycling bin. When DH returned I put all the shopping away immediately including portioning up meat products for the freezer. Did a couple of puzzles in the newspapers that DH had brought home & read a couple of articles about the election before recycling 4 newspapers. Dinner was salmon fillets (from the freezer), new potatoes & green beans. Wudupa.
1023 - 1041 Kitchen recycling, 10 magazines, 4 newspapers, large cardboard box, metal coffee tin, drinks cans, booklet - recycled

vulpix, good luck with the clothes drawers 🍀 No need to get rid of the smaller sized items - perhaps they can be up-cycled into new clothing or maybe used to make a bedspread/quilt 🤔 We were very lucky 🍀 I could have lost my beloved olive tree 😥 We had slightly higher temperatures - a high of 19C but lots of rain 😔 Sorry to hear that the nettles fought back - they obviously objected to being cut down 😉 Are you sure that plant isn’t related to a triffid - it almost looks like it could move 😂
Soontobeoap, I think London_1’s moving date has been put back to the 9th 🤔
QueenJess, a relief to hear that it isn’t Covid although it sounds like you are having a tough time 😔 Well done on going through the ‘puzzle cupboard’ 👏 The almond, blueberry & lemon loaf was delicious 😋 - I managed to sneak a slice before anyone else got there 😉
Nice to see you machasraven 👋 Absolutely love “hurkle durkle” - I had to look it up but it is brilliant 🤩 Great decluttering 👏 Please make sure you do take it easy at work 🙏
TC77, hopefully DD2 will clear up after herself 🤞Congratulations on passing the halfway point (1022/2024) your second Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 👏
crazybunnylady4, hopefully your sanity is just hiding for a while 🙈
Florenceem, not really managing very well as ‘late nights = late getting up’😉 Hopefully you had a restful Friday & Saturday won’t be too busy 🙏
Great decluttering ilovetea 👏 Good luck for the De-stash sale 🍀 Hopefully the weather will stay dry & you will sell everything 🤞
Florafauna, good luck for Monday 🍀 Hopefully the vendors will get their act together so that you don’t have to wait 2/3 weeks 🤞
All caught up so off to bed 😊 Cwtches to all 🤗 & wishing everyone a peaceful & restful night’s sleep 😴

The football was quite good last night, especially when it went to penalties.
We have two more estate agents over today to give us valuations. We had some done about a month ago so I'm hoping it won't have changed much since then.
I have to finish cleaning and tidying up before they get here. I need to go and clean the shower and then have a shower and hair wash and get dressed and then we need to rearrange downstairs a bit and clean the floors again. I'm going to have to put my two cats in their cat baskets while they are here to make it easier so they aren't underfoot. My husband decluttered the weeds yesterday.
I had dreams about lots of rats last night and I looked up the significance and they were all negative! People are envious/problems with neighbours, maybe even affecting your home!2025 GOALS

Thank you for my gold star!
Bought some new bed linen, white for simplicity which I may regret and also some Oxford and housewife pillow cases, never had Oxford ones before and debating whether to send back. Any advice % experience let me know.
Glasses case and fleece not my colour in new cs bag.16 -
Still feeling the effects of staying awake until after 4 - set alarm this morning but went back to sleep.
Sleeping in was obviously needed but it meant we didn't get to prayer breakfast.

Hello folkies, all packing now done, final tip run is done. So there we go13

Day off from decluttering today, but ironically I've done more. Got DD to go through most of her papers, stickers etc that were lying around (been trying to do it for a while). Still a few more to do, but she is only 3, so she has a short attention span. Popped some things into the loft and so at the same time brought more things down (including the boxes to send back my work stuff in a couple of weeks). DH even confirmed he won't need the plastic boxes up there, but wants to use them in the garage as they are nicer than the ones in there. Once he swaps things over, I'll be able to list the ones he doesn't want on Buy Nothing.I think we are now at a point where DH has more things in the loft than anyone now! No big boxes going to be emptied for a while up there, but they are very slowly emptying out. Another box filled to go to charity and a big bag is almost full as well. Seriously running out of boxes to fill up now!30 - books (charity box)
1 - paperwork (recycled)
50 - DD paperwork recycle
1 - DD ruined clothes (recycled)
62 - DS tat binned
8 - DS tat (charity box)

OH decluttered some of the rug fluff from the lounge. I should be happy about this but he doesn't carry on up the hall or into the kitchen and either empties the "hoover" into a bin he keeps in the cleaning cupboard (ewwww!) or doesn't empty it at all. Nail biting stuff Flora.
I didn't know Alfie Moore did a radio 4 gig. His set last night sounds like the same format as one of those shows. More polish needed but it was its first airing. Justin Moorehouse who I don't usually care for was brilliant, he did so much improvisation there wasn't a lot of time for his actual material. very different styles. Alfie more an after dinner speaker, Justin just a big show off!
People from Thrift came to collect plants that are surplus to my needs. One lady who I have known years is going to drop off some wild garlic for me. It has rained every 10 minutes today so no balsam bashing. It’s been a watch telly and crochet day. Also made Mr V a Sunday dinner.I might look at my chest of drawers while the football is on. Depending of course if the cats get up. They have been on the bed since 10am. Couldn’t possibly disturb them. 🐈🐈⬛
Take care everyone Vx:15 -
Found my sanity at work; my line manager was keeping it safe for me. Bless her.
feel a lot better after a chat with her today.
Not much else to report - no decluttering going on here right now as work is about to get super busy sales wise for the next three months.
However hopefully council are going to deal with our messy neighbours and make them declutter their front garden as it's a bloody tip! 😠
Supposed to speak to someone on Tuesday and they've said they'll issue notices but we need to have a conversation first. (With the council person- trying to talk to neighbours is like trying to get blood out of a stone).14
