Still resting in the TLC carriage trying to get rid of this cold/virus thing I seem to have picked up. I did go through my stationery drawer in my desk for today - not much really to go, but managed to cut down the odd thing. A number of things to use up in there and some things I will pass onto the kids. I wouldn't bother keeping them all, but DS will soon need them, so I may as well hold onto them now.Another 2 things in.... a 2nd hand dress arrived for DD (plus the bag it came in that I will reuse for Buy Nothing stuff). She absolutely loves a dress she has, but it's now too tight on her. I found the exact same one in the size up, so I've now put the too small one in the charity box. I also put in there another dress she's never worn and not interested in.Physical:
1 - books (charity box)
2 - kitchen baking overstock used up
1 - broken calculator
1 - nice pen I never use (charity box)
1 - stationery I’ll never use (charity box)
2 - DD dresses (charity box)

Wednesday is another damp overcast day 😞 Already quite dark at 12:42. DH was busy this morning as he cut the front hedge & topped up the bird feeders. He headed off to the surgery at 12:30 for an appointment with a nurse practitioner. Wheelie bin was emptied this morning & I have put in a new black bag.
1010 - 1012 Office recycling, glass jar, newspaper - recycled
Tada - finally reached half year target & only 3 days late 🎉 One Gold Star ⭐️ for me 😉 Now back to cheerleading (DH got back just before 14:00 as they were running 38 minutes late. Apparently his blood pressure was a little high so he has to take it a.m. & p.m. until a telephone consultation next Wednesday at 08:00 😦 Fingers crossed it is just white coat syndrome 🤞)
Lovely post vulpix 😊 Sorry to hear that you are still feeling stressed 😔 Hopefully now that daily life is on a more even keel you will start to feel better & of course there is the virtual Orient Express style trip to look forward to 😉 I hope that your step daughter’s knee op went well & that she will soon be home 🙏 Some good decluttering & well done on cleaning the windows etc 👏 Good luck with the sewing 🍀
Great decluttering oceanspirit 👏 Let me look into my crystal ball 🔮- yes, it is coming through………… I see ‘rice based’ dishes in your future 😂 so sorry I couldn’t quite resist 😉
Wednesday2000, hope you enjoyed your visit to Broadstairs & had a nice welcome home from the cats 🙂 That statue is very disturbing & I pray that it will have the desired effect of reducing knife crime to zero 🙏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that your children have given you a ‘bug’ 😔 I hope you feel better soon & that you managed to get some rest yesterday 🤞I see that you remembered to pop into the TLC Carriage even if it was only after a decluttering session 😉 More excellent decluttering 👏 although I did groan at your comment that your parents return bits & pieces from cards you give them 😫 so frustrating 😔
vulpix, sounds like you are enjoying the planning for several mini breaks through the year 😊 Very pleased to hear that MrV is decluttering his equipment storage shed 👏 Wishing him every success with his sales & hoping that the money he raises will be going towards funding your mini breaks 😉🤞
GrannyKate, fabulous news about the offer on your house 🥳 I take it the old EA is the one that sold it 🤨 Hope you have a marvellous holiday & I am looking forward to hearing all about it 😊
One more page caught up so will post & spend a bit of time on the repairs to DSis’s top. I have been trying to work out how old it is as the manufacturer went into receivership in 1998 having been bought out in 1995 😔 Doubly sad as the label confirms it was made in England by a manufacturing company that started in 1973.

Well after a nap I felt like doing something so I started sorting the two projects that need finishing. Hemmed the back of both and cut out felt back for one. The other one I need to find suitable material to finish. Now just need good light (and time!) to back them!
Some photos as I know there might be interest!
By the way - the cinnamon bunny was made before we got Mac...but it looks very much like him! 🐰

@Muddy_Walker
Sorry to hear about all the difficulties. Take them all in good time and remember to breath in between.
As for the PIP....they'll say there's a limited amount of time to get a mandatory reconsideration but you can ask for an extension, up to 3 months I believe, with a good reason. The important thing is to tell them you are challenging the decision but that life is hectic (tell them why) and you can't get on it too quickly as a result. And maybe give citizen's advice a call to get them to help - they are experts at this sort of thing and will word it all properly. And then once it's all sorted out the money will be back dated to the first application. Heard of someone today who had a reassessment (was getting low rate but had been pushing to be on a higher rate) and that has backdated her award by 18 months so a hefty lump sum coming her way. I'm channeling that that will be you too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Been to SA - friendship/lunch club today - yummy food - roast beef dinner followed by meringue with whipped cream and strawberries.
Ddil dropped off her work bag this morning - the zip pull had come off - I fixed it back on and stitched across the end this afternoon.
Felt really tired today.
My new SA blouses arrived today along with an eye test reminder.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hello all, old cat litter tray and cat carrier went today. Nothing left to declutter as almost everything is packed. Just minimal cutlery, bedding and food. Still waiting on vendor paperwork. Decluttered lots of energy with a walk and a swim. Too tired to be stressed!11

Major frogs done here - Roommates finally got their Social Security and extra medical help worked out. It has taken17 months in one case - so don't give up everyone. Success is possible.
Living room is being seriously decluttered thanks to cats - we have to get everything safer for them. Several bags of trash out in last couple of days. Deciding which furniture to go now. Probably a desk, chest of drawers, bed frames (2), headboard, etc. Mattress has to go to when they come to pick up the rest.14
