QueenJess, that is a pretty good silver lining 😊 It does make it easier to decide what to declutter when your children have such distinctive personalities & tastes 😌
Lovely cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😊 I must say I was disappointed not to get a room in the courtyard - for a start fewer steps 😂 Excellent work in the garden - although I am imploring you to be more careful 🙏🙏

The sorting out of the pantry took longer than I thought yesterday and I did have a couple of OOD items there too. I then went through my kitchen shelf and took everything out, dusted it all and rearranged. It took me 50 minutes and my Fitbit thought I was swimming again! I have lots of different herbal teas to use up so I might start having it iced in this weather. I think I will have the cherry tea today and add ice and lime wedges while I am watching the football.
I did go through our finances yesterday as well and our monthly household bills (not groceries) are £730 a month. I'm sure people on here spend much less, but that is fine for us. I wrote it all out on a piece of paper old school. My husband is now officially retired so I want to keep more of an eye on our spending. We are getting a refund from Ovo as we switched so that will be an extra £180 and we sold the extra Taylor Swift ticket for £525. My husband accidentally bought a single ticket for the wrong night!
The concert was okay last night, but we both were really not in the mood so we just stayed to see Professor Green and then had some food and a cider from one of the stalls and then came home shortly after. I just watched YouTube when I got back and had a fairly early night.
I am going to go through my shoes/boots today. I'm not sure if I am getting rid of anything or just taking everything out and dusting and tidying, but I will see.

Excellent decluttering & tidying of your craft stash, crazybunnylady4 👏 From your description of what you decluttered it sounds like you have tried your hand at a great many different types of crafting 🤩 Any chance of a couple of pictures of some of your crafting projects 🙏
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger : Absolutely! I mean to warn you, there might be quite a few pictures! 🤣 I will dig some out later to post.10 -
Well I planned to run round for 30 mins this morning decluttering, tidying and generally sorting things out, but was impeded by the kids. DD wanted to know what I was doing and then decided she immediately wanted to sort out books in her room, which required my help and then DS saw and moved loads of his stuff into DD’s room to sort through. So they’ve gone through lots of their stuff and I haven’t even started on mine 🤦♀️. Maybe I’ll get a chance later when they are distracted with something else…
1 - puzzle (Buy Nothing)
8 - DS stuff recycled
4 - DS tat binned
3 - DS/DD tat (charity bag)
16 - DD/DS books (Buy Nothing)
13 - DD/DS books (charity bag)
1 - packaging reused

Hi all
@Vulpix very good idea to get some help with the top garden. I have been trying to persuade OH to get someone in to deal with the garden at OH's house which I have been working on in fits and starts since the pandemic as well as mine. Both need lots of work but I just don't have the energy to get on top of both and those brambles are indeed vicious. I have some gauntlets that help with the nettles but are no protection against the brambles.
@crazybunnylady4 I had a look at that hoop holder and I was just wondering how you get it to the right height to work comfortably. Do you stand it on a little table or is the idea that you sort of sit on it? I am probably being thick but I would like to know. The needleholders look cute, my favourite is the peacock
. Waiting with bated breath for the pics of your craft makes
@oceanspirit I hope the hospital stay goes well for your OH, hugs
@Pennypincin that Swedish shop is full of temptations. I am planning a visit for a tin opener as I am fed up with the rubbish ones that I have had from the sm that only seem to last about 3 months before they stop working properly and their kitchen knives are excellent so I am hoping their tin openers will be as good. However I have been putting it off as I know I will count myself as lucky if that's all I get
@Florafauna hugs
@Mrs SD glad you got home safe. I had to google onion pasta just to keep up the tradition of googling your trip
. Well done on balancing the books, something I should do more of but after years of keeping track of every penny at work, we had a system where pupils brought in a small amount of money to pay for cookery etc, and the books were audited every year, plus I had to balance the DofE money, I was glad to leave it behind, those hours trying to track down a penny were quite stressful
. Hope you can repair the top for your Dsis, sounds like a biggish job
. Yes I felt very satisfied sorting those trainers, just finding them all was an achievement
@Wednesday2000 hope you are feeling better and you enjoyed your concert
@short_bird hope you are feeling better soon, hugs
@TC77 well done with the table and chairs
@QueenJess I thought you had finished work, resigned, or did I read that wrong? Hugs
@GrannyKate enjoy your holiday
Well the past couple of days have been poor decluttering wise. Even though I knew what I was getting for the birthday gifts it still took longer to find them than I hoped and one bit I failed completely to find where I thought it should be so will have to look again, though it is only a small part of the gift so not the end of the world if I can't get it. Both presents have been wrapped with paper from my stash and the one being hand delivered has used up a gift bag as well. The other will need to be posted so I will use up some packaging there. I think I have suitable cards in my stash so that's good. These will be counted when they leave the house. Apart from that I have managed another bag of green waste, bedroom recycling emptied, 1 LDFPA and I sorted through my yarn and have 5 projects sorted to use it up. I need to crochet a baby blanket and I have planned a couple of neck warmers and scarves for christmas gifts and I still have the reworking of the blanket made from my Mum's scrap wool that I have put on the back burner until after I have done the baby blanket
. In other news my dniece and her DH in Bequia have covid after their holiday in Indonesia but seem to be ok.
Today I have to go to the sm. I have been putting it off trying to use up stuff from the cupboards and freezer but we are reaching the point where things have run out and we need stuff so that bullet will be bitten first. I will see what I can get done when I get home before I watch the footy. The weather is quite miserable today so I don't think I will be in the garden sadly.
Ok time to move. Hugs to everyone who would like one
941 bedroom recycling
942 green waste
943 LDFPA
944 yarn sorted.
Take care everyone

Been using up more of DSis's food stocks. Had to bin a sweet potato which is really annoying - am trying to reduce food waste.
Have a couple of old keys and another metal object to go in the tip trip box as OH has agreed to go, probably at the end of the week.
Doing a bit of cleaning and tidying today so hoping to find things to go.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -
Alright picture time - can't say I didn't warn you!
@Liverpool_Anne: the hoop holder is one you sit on. You put it under your leg. Not amazingly comfortable to begin with but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad.just not very good in hot weather if you stick to everything 🤣🤣
Btw these are just some of the projects I've done - the big coffee one in the pine frame is the most recent

Hello folks.
We went into Manchester last night and met DD1 and BF. We had outstanding Vegan curry dishes. We will visit again. I should stop calling BF,BF. He is 34. Perhaps OH. They are back again in a few weeks for two weddings.
In finding clothes to wear last night I confess to unearthing another pair of white linen trousers, that's 6 pairs in 3 different sizes! I identified 3 tops that can go next week. One too big,nwt from the charity shop, washed ,ironed and will be donated. One from the £1 chazzer, washed , ironed and it does nothing for me, the other from the £1 chazzer, I have worn a few times but it's time for it to move on. I found one top which I need to alter slightly. I am concentrating on pairing clothes up into outfits. I have 2 pairs of trousers that don't have a top. £1 chazzer here I come. There is room for movement in the wardrobe now and plenty of empty coat hangers. Still more tops to try on and then possibly move on out. I think there is some jewellery that I can let go too. Sorry about so much detail, it is hard for me to let clothes go. I need to justify it to myself. I did buy a pack of new pants yesterday. DD2 accidentally took some of mine home with her so I was down to 5 pairs.
Now I am less stressed I need to turn my attention to weight loss. Since January I have lost 3 whole pounds.
I can hear a traction engine tooting, and music, it's carnival day today. It starts from near my house, sadly I can't stand long enough to watch it. I can walk or sit only! If there is any queueing to be done I have to get someone else to do it for me and go and find a seat.
I am pleased to say that I continue to use up toiletries and I won't replace them.
Fingers crossed for all you house movers and best wishes for people under the weather. xx

Hello all, seems I haven't posted since 16th June so I apologise for being absent but all I seem to be doing is going to hospitals for one thing or another. My Dad is making progress and is medically fit enough to go home but he has a weak left leg and the fine motor movements in his left hand are not very good. He will have to use a walking frame in the house and he needs some aids in his bathroom and temporary carers put in place before he can be discharged. I can appreciate that they need the bed but no one seems to be able to join up the dots to make that happen sooner rather than later. "A" needs to speak to "B" but has to go via "C" and/or "D" before that can happen 🙄
Dad is still under the impression that he can go back to his old way of life once he's home, even driving 😲 Nooooo ! that's not going to happen but he's so stubborn and cantankerous I'll have a fight on my hands, thankfully I have the support of DH and DD, we need a united front.
Today I have decluttered an empty coffee jar, a body spray tin, some shrub branches and the cuttings from the front hedge. DH cut the hedge as I'm still unable to use the electric clippers but I was on the sweeping up, well leaning on the brush a lot as I've seen other sweepers do 🤣 I was able to use my secateurs on the shrub though as it was so big it was making it difficult to walk around the side of the house without doing a limbo dance under it ! We've come to the thinking that we can no longer do the garden ourselves and will have to get some help. We'll speak nicely to DGS who is always ready to help for a price, plus all the food he can eat. Think he's a budding entrepreneur 🤣
This week I'll be visiting dad plus I have 2 appointments myself, one at my surgery and also a scan at another hospital. I think then I've visited every hospital in the area, I have a season ticket !
Crazybunnylady lovely makes and such talent, you have more in your little finger than I probably have in my whole body 😂
Sorry I haven't kept up with the news, hugs available to anyone in need.
