Thank you for all the nice comments on the cross stitch! It's my main hobby but I lost my mojo with crafting last year after losing my last bunny (Toffee). 😢
I am just getting back into crochet gently for the wildlife charity I have mentioned multiple times on this thread. Even that is a bit of a struggle to concentrate on.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for the gold star (or was it a gold medal? I forget). Not sure I gave any tips but happy to enable 🤣
Lazy day today; did a home delivery order for Mr T to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Wiped out the fridge in preparation.
DMum decluttered 1 x long sleeved top whilst doing her ironing this afternoon - popped it in the charity bag tonight as thats in the garage.
Emptied kitchen recycling. D/w done, w/m tomorrow. Must change the bedsheets tomorrow as well.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Mini Mission in May
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
When DH & DSis got back, I put everything away. Sorted the fridge to make room for the shopping & unfortunately had to bin ood houmous & ood crème fraiche 🙁 All my mail from the past 2 weeks has now been dealt with. Dinner was buffet style - I washed & chopped various salad vegetables, sliced a couple of hard boiled eggs + some cheese & laid out cold meats etc & everyone helped themselves. Wudupa.
987 - 988 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
989 - 990 Kitchen detritus, 0.5” shredding - binned
Nodded off whilst catching up on Countdown, so will post & run.

Mrs SD we have been having those kinds of buffet style meals. It feels nice and easy for summertime without having to sweat over a hot stove. The weather isn’t always perfect but it’s nice to make the most of the long and light days. I loved following along on your trip once again.Crazybunnylady4 - I greatly admire your cross stitching they are lovely. I am a fellow crocheter and find it is very soothing so I hope that it restores your motivation.Vulpix - it’s not something that I have been into before but wardrobe sorting out is great! I am a fellow fan of the white linen trousers and have two pairs.
Florafauna - that’s so disappointing about the house purchase being held up. I have been in the same position so I have my fingers crossed for you. Ours didn’t go well and we rented for a while but actually then found a property that we loved much more so it all worked out in the end. It’s stressful though when you just want to get settled in a new home.Grannykate - I hope that your prospective purchaser agrees to the counter offer.LiverpoolAnne - two gardens is far too much for anyone! Your OH really should agree to pay for some gardening help in my opinion.QueenJess - I really do sympathise with you on the parents situation. Our relatives could only part with things by giving them to us. They would bring stuff with them or insist on loading up our car whenever we visited them. It was quite profoundly depressing and overwhelming. They would never listen to us either! We took to quite ruthlessly donating or recycling very quickly. As we were questioned we learned to say that we had found a friend or a charity that was making use of it. Unfortunately, this probably encouraged them to send even more stuff our way. It’s a really tricky situation though and in the end you are trying to deal with it with grace and without offending.Nannywindow - you have such a lot on your plate this year. Hugs for keeping going with everything for everyone.I am having quite a stressful summer for family reasons and it is absorbing my time, thoughts and energy rather more than is healthy. I am trying to focus on small things for myself where I can. Reading along here is a nice morning routine. You are all very inspiring, caring and thoughtful people and I mentally send hugs, cheering along and congratulations as I go through.I have decluttered some fabric into a blouse. Really making sure that I finish one garment before starting another - I don’t want to go back to having unfinished sewing projects around. I tackled the pans in the kitchen and had a sort out. This has involved the removal of 5 pans and casseroles and the purchase of two induction friendly pans and one casserole pan. 5The others, while great quality wouldn’t work on the induction hob unfortunately. Some will go to the charity shop and I might keep a couple for use when camping or out on the barbecue. It will stop the kitchen being raided when anyone is going on a camping trip. It all looks far more orderly now. The reason it took so long for me to do it is that the pans are otherwise great so it was hard to give myself permission to part with them. I am still in using up mode with the store cupboard for food and cleaning materials and am very much enjoying having less. Although, a relative will be having a clear out soon and I know that a load of stuff will be dumped on me. Thanks to @Floss suggesting the Foodbank - that’s where I shall be taking anything that is unopened and in date.I dealt with a pile of junk mail and community magazines that had built up by putting almost everything in the recycling. Normally I don’t let that build up but it has been a hectic few months. The garden is being gradually raided to remove random things that don’t belong. I am on at Mr MV and DS in this respect; they can create a Steptoe’s yard effect anywhere and I am not standing for it anymore. They have plenty of room to store their stuff and it doesn’t need to be out on view because they couldn’t be bothered to put it away, or in many cases, take it for recycling.I have allowed myself to move some winter coats into absent DC’s wardrobe, which has freed up mine a bit. Not for getting more clothes but just to allow everything to hang without being squished and creased. I can better see what I have and spot the things that I never wear or want to replace. A blouse will be donated and other things are on the watchlist to potentially go. I spotted a shirt which I am going to do some modifications on and a maxi dress that I will look to make a nicer replacement for. One pair of white linen trousers are too tight around the waist so I am going to see what I can do with those. There have been lots of little bits and pieces here and there but I can’t remember them now.I’ll post this now before I lose it all!12 -
Just in case it is useful to anyone I thought I would add this. There is so much on the tubular viewing these days on altering or refashioning clothes. I follow a lady called Catherine who is great at experimenting and showing how to modify charity shop /thrift store buys or unfavoured wardrobe items into clothing that fits her and that she enjoys wearing. I don’t know if I am permitted to share the link but her channel is Catherine Sews and it is free to watch.15

Mrs SD I thought your radish was a sweet potato!
Things must be reducing, I have an empty drawer in the chest of drawers and room in the wardrobe. For the charity shop so far, 4 tops, a bolero, a handbag. The handbag has survived many culls but it is time for it to go. I am quickly going to look at jewellery whist I wait for it to dry up a bit outside, then I am off out painting sheds.
Nice to see you Moorviews, I am glad that you have been able to do a few things just for you. yes, to putting your foot down about stuff lying about in the garden, I would do the same,my garden is my sanctuary.I have always altered clothes to fit better, spend ages doing it, wear it once and donate it! Some of the remodelling on YT is inspired, I would never have thought of it in a million years.

More neutral items out.The way this year is moving so quick, one of the organisers is already making preparations for Christmas fundraising events that raise a lot of money.Managed with a struggle to get a box of items out to send (still doesn’t look much different in my DDs room where things are stashed, by Christmas the room will look bare!)I always list what is in the box and a total, forgot to check the box total but I know there was a lot in this box, i’m going to guess at 30 but I suspect there was more. With some of the standard items I put together some bags for the Summer Bags of Joy appeal run at a certain store. Not going to count the individual items in each bag just the bag as one item full of essentials. 3 bags/items dropped off aswell.Total neutral items out of the house 319+ 33 = 352
General decluttering, def in need of a tip run, might be able to do one this week, if not def in the next two weeks as things are piling up and a friend has asked about whether I was doing one, she is very handy to have with you and much easier to do a joint oneDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@Moorviews sorry to hear things are tough and glad you're doing small things for yourself. I find reading along very helpful. Blouses are hard to make , I have a half made one from my learnt to sew course but then the teacher left. Unfortunately I'm with you DS and Mr MV that I can make anything look like steptoe's yard despite working so hard to be tidy and streamline!

Afternoon all,
Been a bit lazy today again today. Mr T has just delivered, three subs and 1 non available item, sent one of the subs back as it's a replacement for a shampoo I'm particular about.
Bed changed, and 2 loads through the w/m this morning, put on airer to dry.
Have shredded a few odd receipts and synced my calendar with my diary so all organised for July! Put the patterns I found when I was clearing out my craft mountain away and filed some other odd papers that have been lying on my desk for a while now.
I really must get to the stack of framing that is taking up room on the desk too!!
Just had lunch and then will declutter Mac's hutch in a bit.12 -
Thanks for your comments @moorviews, very heartening. Sorry to hear your summers stressful, I hope you can relax making your blouse xx10
