Hello.
Haven't been on here in June. No excuses. Been putting rubbish and recycling out every day and sold a few bits on e-bay. Going to add 75 to my total
Hoping to move to another flat soon. Same building but ground floor. Maybe get a bird feeder :-).
Good excuse for getting rid of lots of stuff.
Haven't read through the 500+ posts I had to catch up on so hugs to those who need them

Declutter 2024 things in 2024 1522/2024.
NSD's in August 11/2013 -
I’ve been missing in action for quite a while and I haven’t been able to catch up on the nearly 1500 messages that I’ve missed, so I hope that everyone is doing okay and I’ve missed hearing about what everyone is getting up to.
We’ve had a truly horrendous first half of the year, DS1 is moving up to secondary school in September and has ADHD and ASD among other things. He has an EHCP and at the beginning of February we got his updated EHCP naming our parental preference school, lovely.
Except on the 7th February the Council took it away but wouldn’t communicate with me why that was and had a default answer which was “if you don’t like it, take us to tribunal”.
So we did!!
It has been one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done but my DS1 got the place back at the end of May and he has his transition day on Tuesday.
My health has suffered quite heavily and at the same time I’ve had to get a job as my ESA claim was approved and then immediately turned down as I hadn’t earnt enough in the last two years to receive any help. So I’m working even though I’m really not well enough but it is what it is.
I’ve been plodding on with decluttering and I’ll summarise as there is quite a bit!
Fabric Recycling – 4.5 bags
Shoe Recycling – 2 bags
Clothes to homeless charity – 4 bags
Local Freebies site – 12 bags
Gone to the tip – 6.5 bags
Charity Shop – 2.5 bags
Oxfam Online – 4.5 bags
Church fete – 4 bags
Which is a grand total of 40 bags. I hadn’t added it up before writing this and I’m amazed by how many but if I’m honest, it has been a bit of distraction from everything that has been going on.
So my total is now 50/52
Lots of love to all the declutterarti and hoping to being here much more over the next couple of months xxxx

Sunday 10:40, I woke up to a grey overcast day & only 16C. Whilst making my first cuppa I brought in yesterday’s washing - just in time to avoid the rain 😉 I am currently watching the last 3 episodes of Countdown - very exciting too - Final is between seed 1 & seed 6. Very impressive winner 🤩 P.S. yesterday’s sort out of the fridge also resulted in a can of squirty cream being binned 991
Wednesday2000, the pantry sort out might have taken longer than intended but you did a really good job 👏 Great work sorting out your finances 👏 I almost fell off the sofa when I read the price of the Taylor Swift ticket 😣 although very pleased for you both that you got such a good price. Shame that Friday night’s concert was not as enjoyable as you had hoped 😔
crazybunnylady4, really looking forward to seeing the pictures of your crafting exploits 😊 The more the merrier 😉
QueenJess, I know your plans were waylaid but I think it is charming that both your DS & DD want to make mummy happy by decluttering ☺️ I am so impressed that I am giving each of them a medal 🏅 Hopefully you managed to get some of your own decluttering done 🤞
Wonderful cheerleading as usual Liverpool_Anne ☺️ Remember ANY & ALL decluttering is Good - every item dealt with is one less item cluttering your home 🥳 Good luck with your crafting projects 🍀 Sorry to hear that your DNiece & her DH have caught Covid 😔 hopefully it will only be a mild bout 🙏 Excellent work delaying the sm visit for so long 👏
QueenJess, hopefully the 2 weeks will pass quickly 🤞
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏
crazybunnylady4, absolutely gorgeous crafting 😍 My favourites are the two ladies - so delicately coloured - almost soft focus - stunning 🤩 You are truly gifted ☺️
vulpix, a lovey way to spend a Friday evening 😊 I confess that I love how much detail you give when it comes to decluttering your clothing 👏 The fact that it helps you so much is even more gratifying 🤩 Well done in losing three pounds, I on the other hand have gained a pound 😔 Carnival day sounds wonderful 😊
nannywindow, lovely to see you back 😊 Sorry to hear that so much of your time has had to be devoted to going back & forth to hospitals 😔 but relieved to hear that your Dad is on the mend 🙂 Hopefully the various departments will get their act together & everything will be in place so that he can go home in the not too distant future 🙏 Some good decluttering 👏 Sounds like your DGS will be the perfect gardener & hopefully won’t eat you out of house & home 😅
Just realised that I forgot to post this from this morning 🙊 DH watched his MotoGP races & I spent the afternoon watching the last season of GoT - just one episode left. DH & I spent a little time in the garden - DH pulled up all the radishes & did some pruning. One of the radishes he pulled was even bigger than the one shown in my last picture 😧 It did rain about 11:45 for half an hour or so 😔 Dinner was salad again. Wudupa.
992 - 997 Kitchen recycling, 2 magazines, 2 plastic bottles, drinks cans - recycled
998 - 1000 Kitchen detritus, large bag of garden detritus, uu pen - binned
Fallen behind again through sheer laziness 😔

2 necklaces in the charity bag.
It started to rain so no painting done.
We went to Chesterfield, shopping. I bought an ivory colour top from Asda to go with some new trousers I bought a while ago. Yet to be tried on. I am trying to be a bit smarter and wear clothes from my recent wardrobe excavation. I always get changed when I get home. In the house it's just more comfy and older clothes.Usually with paint stains from my diy.
That's a good wardrobe sort out daisy. I have noticed that I have a lot of colour block clothes and an awful lot of black and white. My late SIL's Mum only had clothes in black, white and red. She could get dressed in the dark and she would always match!
Nice to see old faces posting, I am sorry to hear you have so much on your plate sticky and nanny. xx
The weather forecast is wet for the foreseeable future, I need to turn my attentions to indoor stuff, starting with cleaning the windows. If I say it here it will hold me accountable. I also have plenty of hand and machine sewing to do.
Mr V is talking of changing the car again. same make, different model. I expect we will be taking a trip to some far flung dealership soon. I don't mind, always up for a road trip. Talking of which, can anyone recommend anywhere for a few days visit? I am feeling in need of a little break? I am still feeling stressed even though the stress is over.

@daisy_1571 love that you have some bright colours.understand about the wearing round the hiuse dilemma.
I uswd to wear reds and pinks but as I've aged and my face has become redder I wear blue , black and beige which is v boring. I didnl wear a greenish top and ok beige trousers ( but different style) and rust jumper ( all unworn before and new to me items) so i was very pleased.
Some photos deleted, 1 crockery item in cs bag, unsubscribes on email. Meter readings submitted but much time at the cinema and watching TV series !12 -
Vulpix I always get changed too when I come in.
I've always felt its a hangover from coming in from school and getting out of uniform and into what my family called 'playing clothes'.
Having said that there are definitely times in my going out clothes I might look like I too got dressed in the dark 🙃 😅. Sartorial I am not. I could wear the same as everyone else but still give off a look of having been recently pulled through the hedge backwards
. For a while I worked in a car showroom as an evening receptionist and we had a uniform. The lady I generally took over from had done her full day but still looked neat as a pin. I sometimes took over from my pal and she once said I always reminded her off a wee girl coming in from a day at school. Lol. I just had an air of one sock down, cardi hanging off a shoulder, hair escaping from plaits about me. Hahaha.
Tc77 yes I love bright colours. I have one little box of funeral clothes - black trousers, top, scarf, shoes and a handbag. Other than that I loften ook like a children's entertainer.

I am starting another donation bag, so far there is a fairly new, but uncomfortable bra, a pair of denim shorts and some sunglasses I bought for Taylor Swift, but I know I will never wear again.
The football last night! So stressful to watch. We are going to see the new Bad Boys film today and will get home and then watch the 5 pm game. We have a hotel in London that we couldn't cancel (as we were supposed to see the band Heart tonight) so we are going into London and will hopefully get there in time to see most of the second game at 8.2025 GOALS
