Evening all,
Pleased to say that garage decluttering is done for now.
Worked through the front of the garage this morning. Nosy neighbour went out at about 12noon so I was out there as soon as her car had cleared the driveway 😆
Sadly the fold down table I had been hoping to put to commission was a bust. I discovered on lifting it that there was no support beam under it! So that's a no go.
However, did declutter some more bits, along with tidying out mums gardening stuff
charity bag
4 x soft toys
binned
some old paperwork (not suitable for recycling but also didnt need to shred it)
old hose
ground inserts for the rotary line (that we no longer use!)
recycled
3 x cardboard packaging
1 x small electrical item
to the tip (via our local man with a van)
old very weathered garden ornament
old electric fan
old recycling bin
2 x old pillows
5 x small plastic tubs (cant recycle them)
old blind from our bathroom refit
old plastic downpipe (no idea why it was in the garage!)
also went through some boxes at the back so have some items to sell on fleabay.
that will do decluttering wise for now as starting tomorrow (Saturday) I have to do 5 work shifts in a row plus we have a staff meeting Monday along with the first of the summer staff doing their training next week.
Feeling exhausted just thinking about it!

8 tops and 2 pairs of trousers went to the charity shop. That compensates for stuff that came in the other day. I have hung some things on the wardrobe door to remind me to try them on and get rid or wear them.
Someone gave me a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine for doing them a favour, gave the chocolates away and will give the wine away when I find the right person to give it to. I also recycled the Thank you card they came with. I found Mr V's Birthday cards from last year, whilst looking for something , into the recycling
I put myself under so much pressure to do stuff to maintain the house and garden, and just keep taking on more. I have been given some pieces of oak beam. I need to sand them and make them into door stops. I also need to sand the bathroom door as I don't want it to take up permanent residence behind the sofa. There are just so many jobs to do in the garden too. I need to be strict and not to take on any new projects until I have cleared the backlog. I also need to stop volunteering myself to do stuff for other people whilst I get on with my own jobs.

So this week I have packed more boxes. Only one room left to do. We are living on a reduced basis which is good. Broken frying pan went to the tip and also donated a big bag of books and textiles to the charity shop.
Busy decluttering some sashiko threads and fabric into a pretty sampler.
Going out for the day tomorrow, lunch and exploring. Need a day out of the house15 -

4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Fanfare please - I went out 😉 Only to the bank but finally banked PB winnings from April, withdrew some cash (eventually ……… new ATMs with touch screen PIN entry 😧 so had to ask for help to use old style entry of PIN 😮💨) Although I do prefer the new method of dispensing cash - into a drawer & the top slides open 👏 Spent £1.25 buying my weekly magazine. I was out for under an hour with the added bonus that I managed to avoid the rain 😊 For lunch I fried up some lo cabbage, roast potatoes & a slice of beef (from the fridge) I spent the rest of the day knitting & watching TV + completed the puzzles in my magazine. Dinner was fish & chips from the freezer. Wudupa.

Hi all,
@Floss, yes I tried the trick of washing powder in hot water and it did get most of the burn off, thanks, but I picked up some stainless steel wool scrubs and it is clean and back in use. As for the internet dropping out around Anfield, having been inside the ground when it's full I can say that it can be a real struggle to get the internet at all, all the steel structures seem to stop it working and if there is any sort of outside broadcasting unit you might as well not bother. I would suggest your colleage gets fibre optic as I understand this solves the problem
@Wednesday2000 didn't get to the ground for a listen, Thursday night it was chucking it down and 3.5 hours standing in the rain really put me off, last night I was watching the football and today looks like more rainbut all the reports I have heard are that it is a very good show so I hope you enjoy it
@short_bird it's parky here too but Wimbledon is on the horizon so it probably won't get much better until July
@London_1 fingers crossed everything goes well for the first available date.
@Florenceem sorry to hear your family are unable to help as I can see it is getting really hard for you, I hope someone from the church can relieve you, take care of yourself, hugs
@Vulpix glad everything went smoothly at the hospital and I hope you caught up on your sleep. You are absolutely right about putting pressure on yourself, it has to stop. Saying no can be hard but sometimes we just have to be realistic with what we can do and remember it's not just time constraints but energy levels and emotional energies that have to be considered. Keeping busy is one thing but exhaustion is not good. Big hugs. Having said that the door stops sound interesting
@TC77 if you like the sofa at your dad's why not have it and get rid of the one that you like the least from your house
@-taff I have to echo Mrs SD and ask what a banana tomato is
@oceanspirit meeting friends is definitely more fun than cleaning
@Mrs SD well done on getting to the bank, it's one of those things that I always put off
I have managed a bit of decluttering over the last couple of days, hard plastic to the tip, meds collected, bedroom and kitchen recycling, 2 LDFPA, 4 bags of garden waste into the green bin with the help of a spade to push it down and emails deleted. I was hoping to do a bit more in the garden today but it is grey and drizzly so will have to find something else to do. I also started some prep for a batch cook yesterday but OH has commandeered the big stock pot as a visit to the niece is planned for monday and scouse is being made
Hugs to everyone who would like one
873 & 874 hard plastic to too
875 meds collected
876 kitchen recycling
877 bedroom recycling
878 & 879 LDFPA
880 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

Aternoon, the tip collection keeps growing but I'm taking it in the morning on Monday so I' sure I can cram some more stuff in..Might pack it today in case it gets another soaking today or tomorrow. So far there's a bin you burn things in, one of those galvanised steel jobbies, the bototm has fallen out, two bits of wrought iron gate, a bag of garden detritus [but not greens], a couple o pots, a big bag of ash, som garden tools I will attempt to foist on someone tonight, cardboard, empty fance paint pot, empty washing liquid bottle [very big, I won't buy one of those again just because I can't lift it up] and some other bits...It's a banana leg tomato, heirloom, you can save the seeds and they'll come true, kind of like a yellow plum or san marzano type

Had a long lie in this morning.
Wet start to the day but better now.
I popped to SA to reconcile the petty cash. C is going to be on holiday so lots of planning involved - I am down on the list to open and close the building.
I won't need to take in the food donation tonight as a concert is being held to raise funds for Ukraine.
Mr F is about to go out for some fresh air - just down to a grass area with food for the birds. I will be nervous until he gets back.

Wow taff that's interesting about the banana tomato, never knew something like that existed, you're never to old to learn eh 🤔
Not much decluttered this week mostly £'s for petrol, as it's been taken up with my radiotherapy appointments and visiting Dad, so flitting between the 2 different hospitals. He's now in another hospital 45 mins away from us and having OT so that he can get home. It's going to be a long road to recovery as his left leg is very weak plus his left arm is nearly useless at present and he's not the most patient person either. I've thrown out some food from my fridge as we've been eating in the hospital restaurants, I must say that the standard of food is excellent and so is the price ! Dad however hates the food but he's eating the same as us, well he always complains about something 😂 Hopefully he won't vent at the staff too much who are doing their best for him.
I did go to Dad's house this week to find him some clothes, which apparently he keeps in separate carrier bags downstairs even though he has 2 wardrobes and 2 sets of chest of drawers in his bedroom 😏 While passing through his kitchen I disposed of 5 empty ice cream tubs and about 20 cardboard sleeves from ready meals, and there's more still there 😲. This week I have to empty out his fridge, he'll be gutted that I have to throw out some food but I don't know how long it's been there, over a week in any case.
Today I have done 2 loads in the wm and put a large coffee pod box into the recycling, now I'm shattered and putting my feet up. Dh has been a star ⭐and doing all the driving despite his own illness and tiredness. DD is also putting in the visiting hours, bless her she's going over after work most days 🎉
Vulpix my fingers are crossed for Mr V when he has his op this week. Hugs to you both as it is a stressful time 🧡
Hugs to anyone in need. I'm in and out of the revolving doors of the TLC for the foreseeable future and I know it will be well stocked with cakes, tea and hunky masseurs 👍
