So much going on with the decluttering family.
Dd1 came round and I gave her 2 tops and dental stuff. Been putting off getting stuff from my dad's, and debating whether to bring sofa ... I like it more than mine (all of them15 -
Okay so I wasn't going to post again tonight but it poured it down with rain so I knew our neighbour would be away from the window 😅
So popped out to garage and started to have a bit of a rummage through! Did a fair bit!
- Put a few more things into charity shop bag.
- Plastic bottle recycled
- 2 x old lamps that don't work any longer put in our recycling (our council take this type of stuff as long as it's bagged and labeled)
Got some paperwork and bits and bobs to sort through and shred/discard as needed.
Tomorrow going to sift through the rest of the boxes at the back of the garage and then shift a few things round. We have a tabletop that folds down at the front of our garage and I would really love to see if I can rearrange things so we can actually use it.
Would be good for small diy jobs and/or mums gardening in the winter.16 -

I dealt with today’s mail - mostly shredding but a couple of bits to file. As I was in a shredding mood I tidied the dining room table & got permission from DH to shred a stack of paid invoices & addressed junk mail. Emptied shredder & put a couple of bits in the recycling. It did actually rain today 🙁
953 Shredding binned
954 Booklet recycled
The rest of the afternoon I spent knitting & watching TV. Dinner was hm cottage pie. Wudupa. Gave the top oven a quick clean 😉
955 - 956 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
957 - 958 Kitchen detritus, 2 sponge scourers- binned
short_bird, definitely parky 🥶 Strange how 16C feels so cold when we are in June - probably more to do with the lack of sunshine & the stiff breeze 😉 Some excellent decluttering 👏 At this rate you will have reached your target by the end of the month 🤩
Nice to see you crazybunnylady4 👋 How dare RL intrude on decluttering & posting 😂 Excellent & copious decluttering 👏 so I am awarding you your first medal 🏅 Congratulations 🥳
Thanks for posting London_1 😊 Sorry to hear that you are not yet on your beloved IoW 😔 Hopefully everyone in the chain can quickly agree on a new date 🤞Very impressed that you are managing so well with nearly all of your worldly goods packed in boxes 😊 Everything crossed that the earliest date available will be the most convenient for everyone 🤞
Thanks Florenceem ☺️ Sorry to hear about MrF 😔 How annoying that you weren’t notified that the appointment had been cancelled 😔 Everything crossed that Friday’s appointment goes well 🤞🙏
vulpix, very pleased to hear that MrV’s hospital appointment went so well 😮💨 Hopefully the next one will go just as well 🙏
Steady decluttering TC77 👏 Well done on resisting the temptation to bring furniture from your dad’s house 😊 I think you are on 901 🧐
Excellent decluttering in the garage crazybunnylady4 👏 Just wondering if the neighbour is nosy or just bored 😅 Good luck with the rest of the garage tidying/decluttering 🍀
Off to bed now, will see you all later 👋

Good morning fellow declutterati 😊 Not quite sure you will believe this but I was up & dressed by 10:00 🥳 Another overcast day with a 55% chance of rain in the next hour 🙁 I need to go to the bank so will have my first cuppa then head off.
Wishing everyone a good day & hopefully some good weather 🤞See you later 👋

Been pottering along getting rid of more paper and generally tidying and cleaning. Had more food stocks come in this week as dsis is moving soon however have managed to use quite a bit of it already. Need to have a go at emails next week as they are building up again.
Have also been enjoying catching up with friends in person - definitely need to do more of that and less home clearing as it’s so much more fun!Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
Mrs SD , thank you for keeping track od my nos as well as all your fab cheerleading !
2 books for cs, dd2 or my sister in law might like them but I have to start a cull! 90316 -
A book for the CS bag. I am going to do more sorting this weekend.
Yesterday being alive was a wonderful thing as a person I only met once never woke up. He had been doing everything the day before but yesterday he never woke up he was 52 same age as me.
This weekend I'm going to do some mending and sorting more out.“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM. (Death)” - Sir Terry Pratchett16 -
Went to lock up at SA last night and the alarm went off - when that happens I feel like a burglar caught in the act.
I popped to SA this morning to reconcile petty cash but C had to go out.
Someone had not shut a SA freezer door properly so a lot of stuff was defrosting - we set up lots of crates of stuff to give away at that morning's food bank.
Got home in time for a phone call from the hospital - could we go an hour earlier.
Mr F had blood taken and a cannula inserted then we had to wait 3 hours for a clotting test - so they could rule out Pulmonary Embolism. We already know it isn't heart failure.
Mr F had fluid drained with an ultrasound - it is being sent off for 3 tests. Now we have to wait for results.
We were at the hospital for 6 hours.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
