@mhagster that's a shame, but well done for putting everything into storage and fingers crossed a new buyer is found. I lived in a bedsit with 90% of my life in storage for over 4 months back in 2019, so know how liberating it is living with a limited amount of everything 😊2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss I recall you saying about 90% being in storage , did you take it all with you when you moved?
I still have lots of records , my rwcord player bought with my Saturday money from.chelsea girl and my dad's 70s music centre- really need to get a grip.
2 batteries, 2 cardboard boxes (.have boxes of boxes ) , cricket item to cs bag, box from large art set ( kept a few bits) ood food, squished packaging.16 -
Evening everyone
Sorry for my absence; I've been in the TLC carriage after an upsetting week last week. Me and DD1 had to travel 230 miles to hospital where her grandad was at end of life, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer earlier in the year but was expected to live a few more months. DD2 made it over too and all the family were able to see him for his last 2 days. I'm separated from my DDs' dad but my (ex) inlaws were always lovely to me.
I haven't done much decluttering but I did manage to find 2 lost items in a tub under my bed - oops!
Not been able to read 450+ posts but hope people are ok and hugs where needed.
Love Deni

Then when I moved into my bedsit I just needed bedding, towels, clothes and enough cutlery & crockery for 1 person & everything else was put into storage. It was an enlightening experience to unpack every box, and I have slowly whittled down my possessions since then.
ETA: I did buy a sofa bed, pine wardrobe, 2 bookcases and 2 cupboards when I moved in - all secondhand, but all considered acquisitions with the space in mind.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

mhagster i feel do feel for you I too am waiting to move and virtually camping in my house as virtually everything apart from basic stuff is packed in boxes. I have now a total of 14 in my sitting room plus 6 in my conservatory plus goodness knows what else. I fancied a couple of boiled eggs the other day then realised my egg cups were packed so poached to in a bowl of water in my microwave 🤣 it’s surprising how inventive you become when most of your goods and chattels are packed away. Pius only 2-3 days food in fridge/freezer. I am shopping day to day as I’m just waiting for completion which hopefully should be pretty soon. We were supposed to move tomorrow but solicitors are not the fastest off the blocks. My one says technically my DD house and mine are all ready to sign it’s her buyers buyers solicitor is a bit slow at the moment just awaiting their paperwork to be sorted then we can all sign and get moved. But fingers crossed it will be done asap.Hope you get a quick sale.JackieO xxx17

oh mhagster, I am sorry, you have done the right thing and it will all be ok in the end. It happened to us, we waited for our buyer to find another buyer. We just lived in twilight as all the packed boxes were piled up in the bay window! Depressing. you have definitely done the right thing.
Deni, I am sorry to hear about your ex father in law.x
Muddy, good that you are doing stuff for you. Keep it up.x
Lindesfarne was heaving with people, I had forgotten it was half term in England. It was rainy too but I have wanted to go since I was about 14. I was impressed that the causeway was so long. You can imagine how isolated it would have felt back in time.
Off to Whitby in the morning, sans Whitby jet broach, then back home for tea and medals.

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday was overcast in the morning which turned to rain on & off for most of the day. Spent most of the afternoon on Project Embroidery & clearing down more programmes from TV planner. Dinner was a disappointment - risotto & risotto cakes from the freezer 😔 DSis couldn’t eat hers so she had a portion of fries. Wudupa

Mrs SD, I am sure you do more cleaning than me! and I love the photos of your crafting.
A big step for me, just tried on 4 skirts (I can't recall when I wore a skirt) and decided 2 to go to CS, one never worn and the other once and in CS bag before work. Listened to podcasts yesterday reminding me the impact on mental health and wellbeing of clutter as well as the time moving and organising!
Going to set myself another target of 50 this weekend and if I get half way there I will be pleased.16
