Welcome aboard the EDT (Electric Declutter Train) Mrs_Cheshire 👋 You have picked a perfect time to join us as we will soon be heading off on a 10 day “virtual” Orient Express Trip 😊 It sounds like you are doing really well with your decluttering & just need a few ideas to help tackle the last items/areas that you want to despatched to new homes 😊 We are a very friendly group & look forward to getting to know you 😊
Florenceem, you obviously needed the extra sleep as you have been working so hard 😊 How romantic that MrF wanted a cuddle 🥰 I see that your relaxing day didn’t last long 😔 However well done to you & MrF for tackling the bags of donations 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Thanks for the reminder about sorting physical photos - I really do need to tackle mine as I have boxes & boxes of them cluttering up a cupboard & there are quite a few albums in the loft 😔 Good luck with your photos 🍀 I think devoting a little time each day sounds like the perfect way to go about this particular task 😊
Muddy_Walker, now that you have given your houseplants some TLC, I think you should also give yourself some TLC 🥰
QueenJess, love the idea that your aloe vera plant enjoys “a lot of neglect” 😂
Lovely cheerleading post vulpix 😊 Well done to MrV for ‘releasing’ broken electrical leads 👏 Although I am sorry to hear that he is looking & feeling so unwell 😔 Sending many Cwtches 🤗 to you both. Excellent work on your To Do list 👏

@dND hope the electricians are back to full strength for you this week. Unfortunately we won't be able to get it done before we move in (if it all goes through) so will have to put up with the chaos. I'm not sure DH has fully thought this through but we'll know early next week if it needs to be done once the survey comes back. If it does need doing then the kitchen / diner will be the haven we can hide in because that's a fairly recent extension (if it's all be done properly that is!)
Didn't really get a lot done this weekend but did manage to do a little decluttering in the kitchen. Have fully sorted 2 cupboards now which resulted in 34 items to the charity shop. Still a few more glasses and cups to go I think (if I can persuade DH to help me reach them at the top of the cupboards!)

Hi, is it me or is is bloomin freezing? Can we have some warmer, dryer weather now? Mind, I have seen that the weather picks up just when we come back from Scotland on Friday.
I have been to craft club and seen 3 people I haven't seen for years which was nice. One who I can only take in small doses has said she is coming to see us at the new house. She is lovely but a whirlwind. Mr V just can't cope with her. Hahahaha. I don't mind, I love having visitors.
I thought we could go to Whitby on Friday on our way home from Scotland. I dug a Victorian brooch out of the garden at a previous house and I wanted to get it checked as I think it is Jet. Can I find it ? no! I have looked where I expected it to be. That's vexing. I don't remember decluttering it but you never know.
The front door looks good to someone on a galloping horse. Runs in the paint I didn't notice. I will add their remedy to my list.
Out , 2 rolls of masking tape used up and a new dustpan and brush in the bin. The bristles were too hard and just flicked the dirt anywhere except the dust pan. Back into service the old scruffy dustpan and brush from the gardening shed.
In , a lovely felted fox picture my friend made today at craft club and unexpectedly gave to me. I will have to think of how to display it.She is very talented. Art more than craft I would say. She did a craft fair over the weekend and hardly sold a thing. I just don't think people have a lot of spare money.
Oh, the garden sale for the Spanish dogs raised six hundred and sixty something pounds.

Picked up the bathroom shelving unit from Ikea yesterday, don't think it's going to work in there so I will return it.
After yesterday's productivity I've been feeling somewhat lacklustre today - mainly to do with the weather I think.
I did however make a plan to complete the requirements for my supervision certification by the end of the year, set up systems for recording hours etc.
Bathroom guy made a start on the boxing today !
Mrs Money-Penny - sorry to hear about your cat 😢
Muddy Walker - I'm glad you are feeling a little brighter - enjoy the ice-cream - you deserve it 💐

Out for 35 minutes - posted letters & birthday cards, bought a supply of 2nd Class stamps & got some cash. Managed to avoid the rain 🥳 Dealt with today’s mail when I got back. I am now writing & addressing the rest of this year’s birthday cards 😊 although I do still have half a dozen to buy 😉 Took a short break to have lunch - chilli salmon sandwich using seeded bread. Then finished off the cards 😊 As I had successfully tackled one task before it became a cane toad, I decided to pick out another task - repairing a belt loop on a pair of DH’s jeans - his most comfortable pair 😉 Worked out how to do it without trying to push a needle through 3 or 4 layers of material as I was doing it by hand 😊 Success 🥳 Whilst I was gathering all the bits & pieces to make the repair I also sorted out my embroidery supplies. Now everything is easily accessible, I will be able get back to my project which has rather fallen by the wayside 😉 DH & I prepped & made dinner - an HF recipe of rump steak with a red wine jus, dauphinois potatoes & garlicky green beans 😋 Wudupa. It rained on & off all day 😔

ruby_eskimo, fingers crossed that the survey is favourable 🤞Excellent decluttering & well done decluttering 2 kitchen cupboards & donating 34 items to CS 👏
vulpix, not just you - it is ‘freezing’ compared to a week or so ago 😔 How lovely to meet up with people you haven’t seen for a while 😊 Hopefully your prospective visitor will give advance notice so MrV can go out 😉 Do you have more than one jewellery box 🤔 Fingers crossed that you find the brooch 🤞 What a lovely friend 😊 An excellent sum raised for the Spanish dogs charity 👏
Muddy_Walker, that is what I call TLC 😊 Please treat yourself to some more TLC 🙏 cwtches 🤗 coming your way 😊
EnergyShifter, at least you have only had one day of feeling lacklustre - I have been feeling like that for weeks 😅 Yippee to the bathroom guy starting the ‘boxing’ 🥳
The scarf I knitted is very short so will add a button & make it into a neck warmer thingy 😉
