I managed to have some crafting time yesterday - finished 4 Christmas aprons so fabric and ties material decluttered.
Trouble is - I went to the Mencap scrapstore today - I will put photos of my haul on the craft stash thread.

Sad news about bitbybit. Sometimes I like to remember people by just sitting quietly somewhere they loved. A garden is ideal.
550 First viewing done - it went well although their house only just going on sale. They need a bungalow for medical reasons and extra parking which we have
551 The rest of the house cleaned and loads put away
552 Front grass cut
553 Weeding done
554 Magazines rehomed
555 Viewed two properties with DS2 - not suitable for either of us.
I have a lovely clean house all to myself for the rest of weekend. I'll try not to make a mess.

Saturday is another bright day although the sun is currently struggling to break through the clouds 😉 Already 18C at 10:30 & set to rise to 23C. Thankfully the recycling wheelie bins have been emptied & only 2 days late 🥳 I was all excited yesterday as I thought the mattress had been picked up - nope, just moved off the ndn’s drive to opposite their front door 😔
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 & well done on getting so much union & financial administration dealt with 👏 Great news about Ln 🥳 Wishing both you & her daughter success in keeping her on the straight & narrow until she is fully recovered 🤞
elly68, a very busy Friday with some excellent decluttering 👏
2Scratters, thank you for sharing your method of decluttering 👏 Hopefully TC77 will be able to adapt this method to assist with her decluttering 🤞
vulpix, relieved to hear that you had a better night’s sleep Thursday night & I like your idea of decluttering people even if only for a short time 😉 Hope the weather stays fine for DD1 as she walks near Loch Lomond 🤞 Good luck with your planned decluttering of toolbox contents & the spare room 🍀 Lovely picture 😊 I can almost smell the apple blossom 😊
Wednesday2000, excellent work with both the painting & the decluttering 👏 Very pleased to hear that warm weather is preventing a fibromyalgia flare 😮💨 Good news about the house valuation 😊
Excellent work on both the housework & the decluttering Pennypincin 👏
Excellent work mhagster - sounds like a very successful day 👏 Great news about the tools & electronics stuff 😊 It sounds like your friend might need a rather large car or maybe even a van 😉 A very productive day & worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 😊
More excellent work at the SA Florenceem 👏 Really hope you can get some rest today in preparation for a very busy Sunday 🙏
vulpix, please, please don’t be cross with yourself 🙏 It was such a difficult situation 😢 I am so sorry to hear that bit by bit’s daughter was so consumed by grief that she couldn’t understand why her mum wanted to see you 😔 Sitting in your garden seems a fitting way to remember your friend 🤗
QueenJess, I am very pleased to hear that you are spending the weekend in the TLC Carriage 😊 Hopefully a proper rest will help you to recover & DH can look after the children whilst you get better 🤞 Excellent decluttering especially with your May mini challenge 👏 Thank you so much for sharing both your thought processes & decluttering experiences 👏 I agree that one of the most useful & edifying ways to realise that we have too much ‘stuff’ is to have a holiday 😊
Love the Christmas aprons Florenceem 😻 Now I see why you don’t ever use up all your crafting supplies 😉😊
Excellent work GrannyKate 👏 Pleased to hear that the viewing went well, so fingers crossed🤞Good luck with your house hunting 🍀
All caught up at least for a little while 😉 Hope everyone is having a lovely restful day with plenty of sunshine 😉

Hi all,
@Vulpix that is such sad news. Please don't be annoyed with yourself, you did right by bit_by_bit and visited her when she asked for you. I am sure she would understand about the funeral. Her daughter appearing unhappy with your visit is odd but I think she was probably struggling with what was happening with her Mum and being a bit irrational with everybody. From what I read bit_by_bit was the glue that held the family together and her daughter was probably starting to realise that things were going to change in a big way for them all. Having said that I am a bit surprised no-one informed you but grief is a very strange thing and people react in very different ways. Maybe you could visit her grave and take a few flowers from your garden if that would help, though remembering her when you are pottering in your garden is a lovely way to remember her. Big hugs
I got a few things done yesterday, I got a very short notice invite to my cousins 70th birthday party, today, so had to go out to get a card and gift. The card is written and present wrapped from stash. Further bank stuff done. I collected plants for ln and they were deboxed and watered along with her other plants she has already got in pots. 2 very large boxes put into the recycling. As the weather was so nice 4 LDFPA and I have uu a notepad.
Today as I will be at the party OH is going to be looking after ln and watering all her plants. Tomorrow I will probably be shopping for compost for her as she wants to sort her hanging baskets.
@QueenJess the tlc carriage is definitely the best place to recover, it sounds like a version of what I had and took a surprisingly long time to shift itself. Hugs.
I have a few things I need to sort today so I had better get weaving rather than sitting in the garden with a cuppa. Hugs to everyone who would like one.
708 birthday presrnt, card bought, written and wrapped
709 financial stuff
710 plants collected
711 plants and pots watered for ln
712 & 713 big boxes recycled
714 - 717 LDFPA
718 notebook uu
Take care everyone

Vulpix I was saddened to read your news about your friend bit-by-bit. Hugs to you and her family. She will be sorely missed on here.

Yesterday the front lawn was mown by DH and myself as we took turns playing with the mower. All the weeds have now been dismissed from the patio and weed killer applied, it still amazes me how they can grow in the tiniest of cracks. Half of the back jungle remains untouched though as the strimmer is in pieces on the shed workbench, I think it's time for a new one as the now broken one was donated by Dad so was free to us. Sadly the mower won't cut such long thick grass.
Today I have done a load in the wm plus my thick winter dressing gown, the toilet mat and our bedding, all of which have dried well. DH will help me re-make the bed though as I'm still not up to strength in the lifting dept and the new mattress weighs a ton, so even putting the fitted sheet on is a major effort. I have binned half a pair of well used cotton trousers ( top half) and put the rest to be used for rags. We have put the spare bedroom back as it should be after DGS's visit last weekend, all the bedding is now in zip-up bags on top of the wardrobe and the folding bed has been put back in it's rightful place. The day bed has been stripped and the cushions put back too.
MrsSD glad DH made it home safely.
LiverpoolAnne lovely photos. I wish my garden looked as tidy as that, at the moment it's looking rather unkempt 🤔 It's hard to keep up with it at the moment including the shrubs which have exploded this year.
Hugs to anyone in need xx
