Hello fellow declutterers, sorry I have been spending far too much time in the TLC carriage and not a lot has been leaving the building. I had to visit the surgery last week as I now have rather a bad rash which won't go and is spreading. Photos were taken of the rash and sent to dermatology as GP is flummoxed, personally I think it maybe stress related but I was prescribed creams, lotions and anti histamines.
Anyhoo we had DGS over for the weekend and lots of food was decluttered, it's DGD's turn next weekend. They are both teenagers and siblings but a world apart, hence 2 different weekends. DD took me shopping as I needed some new clothes because of my change of shape since my op and I decluttered quite a bit of money. Sadly the new clothes are all hanging in the office as the wardrobes(2) are full, so I started to cull and then got a call from the hospital as there was a cancellation for this afternoon, well it saves me going tomorrow now as per my appointment.
I managed to sort some winter jumpers to put away ready for next year and I have put 2 T.shirts and 4 fleece tops in the cs bag, all in good condition. There's still a lot to go through so I'll start again tomorrow and declutter some more, thought I'd start with tops before moving on to other things, the wardrobes are like Mary Poppins bag, forever full even though some things have been removed 😲 There are also some holiday summer clothes to go through but they are in a large suitcase in top of the wardrobe, so they will wait for a bit.
2 empty cardboard boxes and 5 plastic containers have also been recycled, 1 broken hanger was put in the bin and 1 book given to DD.
GrannyKate hope you're ok after your fall, gentle hugs. Hope the viewing goes well.
MrsSD I remember using Aida when I was in Junior school, I decorated a tray cloth. It was a bit better than my knitting when it felt like I was using string ! Psst ! I too thought you would be sending pics of those young men next door 🤣 Hope your DH enjoys his trip.
Hugs to all

Hello.
Bag of stuff dropped off at charity shop and turned straight round and straight back out. No mooching!Big dog crate was collected this evening. Hurrah! Huge space left in the garage. And fingers crossed I have a home for a load of electronic stuff that belonged to my husband. It’s such specialised stuff that I really don’t know much about! Hopefully hear tomorrow if it’s wanted.Friend took some food home with her after tea tonight and a book for her holiday.12 -

Fab news about the viewing Granny Kate , it only takes one , this could be the one.
very good news TC77.What a great evening we have had. We got 2 of 25 in the what is the object quiz. Bizarre over engineered Victorian objects. Maybe it’s a good thing that someone keeps stuff they don’t need just to have a quiz and raise money for charity. I am happy the old guy keeps them. Tbh it did feel like what I have been declutering at Mothers. 🤣

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Still sunny at 17:30 although there was more cloud. We have acquired an extra item from our ndns - a charcoal kettle barbecue. The house is now empty & there at least a dozen full black bin bags out on the drive together with a full wheelie bin & a mattress. Very sad to see them go as they have been lovely neighbours 😔 Hopefully the new renters will be just as nice 🤞DSis & I have abandoned the 2nd series of The Piano - unlike last year you barely get to hear any music as Lang Lang & Mika spend all the time talking whilst the piano players are performing - you are now lucky if you get to listen to 20 seconds of music 😔 I will finish the scarf I am currently knitting & will then concentrate on my embroidery project. Dinner was pork shoulder steaks with mash & cabbage. Wudupa.
735 - 738 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers - recycled
739 - 740 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
TC77, fingers crossed that the table cloth has turned up 🤞You have been doing so well, that I am positive you will not only become more persistent with your decluttering and will conquer your reluctance to donate clothing with tags 😊
London_1, I can hardly believe that little Daisy is almost one - doesn’t time fly 😦 I will keep my fingers crossed that you get to see Daisy before her next birthday 🤞
Except decluttering wishus 👏 You have been busy 🥳 Well done on being so far ahead of target 👏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that your cold is still lingering 😔 More excellent decluttering 👏 I do think you are being very hard on yourself - you have decluttered so much that I am in awe - not only physical decluttering but also digital decluttering 🤩 Yummy, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream - delicious 😋 Please thank DS 👏
Floss, that sounds like an excellent loyalty scheme at your local GC 😊 I do love home grown tomatoes 😉 Project Bedroom Rejuvenation is well underway 🥳
Brie, that is an exorbitant price for a single plant 😱
“Oh and typing interrupted - phone rang and I've qualified to get £200 cashback from some company. I said "great, just pop the cheque in the post!" And the line went dead.” I am laughing uncontrollably 🤣
mhagster, you do know that you are allowed a respite from packing - just to get your breath back & recharge your decluttering/packing batteries 😉 Some excellent & eclectic decluttering especially the bags of kindling 👏
Well done on doing double the housework Muddy_Walker 👏 You have definitely earned a rest 😊 I hope that your hubby will return the favour 😉🤞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Any chance of a picture of the vintage aprons 🙏
daisy_1571, ouch 😫 more for the nettles than the initial fall 🤕 I hope you are now fully recovered 🙏
Excellent work charlies_tribe 👏 Just wondering if DH sorted out the garden as penance for not lifting the boxes out & letting you shuffle furniture about 🙃 Hopefully once he has recovered from his exertions in the garden he will ‘happily’ sort out the Lego on top of the wall unit 🤞
Congratulations to your DD on buying a house, ilovetea 👏 & some excellent decluttering by you 👏
At the rate I am going I should finally catch up with the cheerleading in the next week 😉 Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep 🛌 & Cwtches to everyone who would like one 🤗 P.S. forgot to mention that after a couple of days away, the woodpecker is back - 2 visits at teatime 😊

@TC77 - good job by DD1 getting it done. My roommate Di is still having trouble getting what she needs in the way of financial help - there are actually two different groups working on it so keeping our eyes crossed.
Older cat has been racing around the living room jumping from one piece of furniture to another. Unfortunately on one of her jumps from the TV stand to my computer table she landed on my upper arm. I now have a bruise about 5 inches by 4 inches, very dark purple. May need to get an x-ray to make sure nothing fractured there as it is hurting. I had already made an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow morning, so may go directly to have the x-ray done after seeing the doctor.
Mrs. S_D - I was hoping for pictures of the hardworking neighbors too - need something for inspiration here. Our yard is refilling itself with weeds. We have had a lot more rain than normal so I will be out cutting down weeds that look like they are competing to see who can grow the tallest. If they were just flowers instead.
We are decluttering Di's bedroom thanks to the other cat (hers). He has been hiding in the room and has highlighted all of the trash in there. Two bags ready to go out tomorrow. Much more to go. We had so much trash to go out today in the trash bins, that she had to ask the neighbors to add some to theirs. A lot out of her room and also the upstairs bedrooms. There were over 12 bags of trash in our bin so couldn't close the top.
Am still doing the three things a day out of the kitchen. Adding three things a day from the "library-pantry" room too. Right now it is just shelves with the pantry supplies on it, Di's piano hidden behind boxes, and boxes of books and miscellaneous including 10 boxes to be sorted down to two that can be shipped to Missouri. Since I am no longer making my own books at home to sell at speeches, I need to get rid of those supplies out of there too. There is also a set of china (108 pieces) that can go as soon as we can dig our way through to it. I have a place to sell it to. I have made a list of the major things I need to sell and am working my way through it - china, paintings, prints, Japanese dolls, marionette, old magazines (Life and Fortune) among other things. Trying to pay off some of the bills.

Thanks Brie, Mrs SD, Vulpix and Weenancy and others with all your support. @weenancyinAmerica I hope Di can navigate the system, and we're all in awe of all the support you give all those around you. DD1 wouldn't have gone for outside help to get through the system and I get quite angry how complicated it is and those who most need it often cannot navigate it. While not good at many things I am quite good at dealing with bureaucracy and persistent - a lifetime of working in the public sector! Am going to keep track of frogs separate from decluttering as behind, sorting out little cat's medication, and helping DD1 with her ongoing hit and run claim - more assessments, and new physio finding issues with her ankle. As with all going to chip away.
New to me trousers being returned - interesting still have shop tag so Mrs SD going to overcome my reluctance (and meanness) and take mine to CS as know they are having a tough time like others.
2 water bottles came into the house, but only replacing ones I decluttered by accident!
Some receipts out.
Hugs and healing vibes being sent to those in need.14 -
Morning all. Three days cleaning and tidying before house viewing Friday afternoon. I need to get motivated. Knees are sore from my fall but no lasting harm done. I do, however, seem to have cluttered a head cold.
540 Follow up emails sent with extra research to my family history group members from Tuesday and news update to editor of newsletter
541 Drink mug binned and replaced with new one
542 Pool has been put up for another year - decided to do it even though I am planning to move as it can emptied and dismantled easily enough
543 Two small ornamental, but never used, cut glass bowls to CS. They were mils.

Good Morning chums washing on the line already as it looks to be a bright day. Decluttered a Scrabble set to DGD and a nice almost new pack of Waddingtons playing cards to go in her Games box .
She gets her friends over for a girly games night every now and again. They play board games, and enjoy an evening of just laughing and giggling without any chaps around to want beer or food.
The girls bring wine, and she provides the nibbles Make a nice night for the four pals to escape from their normal baby/husband minding duties and just be young lasses once more. Holly has a rescue dog that gets spoiled and petted by them all so he is the only honorary chap allowed that night.Plus its an inexpensive night for them all as opposed to going out and the cost of taxi's home etc. They all live fairly locally as well.
Eldest DD is picking me up after her work today, and we are going to Bluewater where I have a decent wedge of John Lewis vouchers to spend .I haven't been there since before the pandemic struck. I'm treating her to dinner as well as once I move it maybe a while before I see her again apart from via facetime. But I speak to her every day and text her at least twice a day so we won't lose touch but I thought a little Mum/DD time might help a bit as she's not too happy about my move. I will be moving with youngest DD, and I think she may feel a bit as though she's being forgotten which is rubbish but she a bit of a sensitive soul.
Another friend relieved me of a stack of binders full of cookery recipes that I had collected and was very happy to do so I remember them all so I really didn't need the binders so a bit more stuff decluttered.
Time seems to be racing by.I have two sister in laws to visit before the move. One in Faversham, one in Bromley (going this Friday as she's not too well and needs another op for a tumour thats returned on her lung
and my oldest friend in Colchester, I'm hoping I can get to see DGS Mikey when I'm up there as well as he is at Essex Uni in Colchester So it will be a case of fitting as much as I can in. yesterdays coffee morning went well and they are trying to organise a luncheon before I go as well.
it will be nice to actually relax a bit once we get there
Right back to do some more packing
The gardener is supposed to come today to mow and tidy the garden but he did say depends, if the weather is really nice he might go to golf instead
Bless him he's really retired and is only stopping on until I've moved because I was his first customer 10 years ago.
Onwards and upwards
