3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning from a bright & sunny East London ☀️ The forecast is for sun until 14:00 then cloudy for the rest of the day.
London_1, sounds like you & your friend thoroughly enjoyed your tour of the U.S. 😊 DH & I have not had the pleasure of driving through Virginia or Pennsylvania so that is something to think about 🙂 I do agree that the television is dreadful - I once sat watching an unknown to me programme & spent 5 minutes trying to work out characters only to find that I was actually watching adverts 😂 More excellent decluttering 👏 & what lovely memories attached to both the white lacy wrap & the white mink stole 😊
vulpix, thanks for the suggestion which I followed 🙂 I found some pieces of an old shirt of DH’s which I had kept as a Justin - so have been using that to practice 😊 My initial project will be a framed picture for DH’s niece M for her 60th birthday - although it will almost certainly be a belated gift 😉
Wednesday2000, never seen a jay in our garden but this year we have had a few starlings 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way. You are certainly watching some classic films 😉 Hopefully you will enjoy watching The Long Kiss Goodnight (although there is some bad language 🤬) I am a big fan of The Godfather films even though they are each quite long - 2hrs 55m, 3hrs 22m & 2hrs 42m respectively 😉
Brie, nothing to regret 😉 Cluttering with plants & flowers (especially free ones) is completely acceptable especially if you are helping someone else declutter 😊
Floss, freesias & jasmine - such lovely scents 😊
Siebrie, very impressed with your revival of the Tupperware boxes 😊 & thanks for sharing the information 👏 I am keeping my fingers crossed that you have some good weather whilst you are restoring the garden chairs 🤞
GrannyKate, some excellent work in the garden 👏 but ouch, ouch 😣 to your fall 😢 I hope you are OK & not too bruised & battered 🙏 & I hope that you had the glass of wine whilst in the TLC Carriage 😉
vulpix, I love the revamped lamp 😊
I keep getting distracted - as the sun is out the tanned young men next door are all in shorts & topless 😮 They are very busy clearing out the house & mowing the lawn. Also giving away various items - grumpy neighbour J (as opposed to lovely neighbour J 😊) is now the new owner of some metal garden furniture - bench, 2 chairs & a table & I am the new owner of a trowel, small pot & a small bucket 😊
DH has been busy - he bought a new garden hose which has been mounted on the wall under the kitchen window (see picture above) He has also fed the worms & filled the bird feeders 👏 + popped out to fill the bike with petrol as he is leaving tomorrow on an RBR trip up north - east coast to Newcastle, then to Carlisle & down the east coast to Cheshire. Should be back about teatime Friday. DSis headed off at 12:15 for her exercise/breathing class. Only a few sessions left.
I will be back later for more cheerleading 🤞

More shame - decided that if there was going to be a row of foxgloves going along the back garden fence we needed a couple of hollyhocks as well - had to buy those so £15 gone. But they're quite big but not yet flowering so hopefully there'll be a display.
And I did managed to get into the greenhouse and 4 plastic pots have gone into recycling and one of those semi circle wall hanging pots is sitting out at the front gate hoping someone will adopt it. If not I'll drop it at the local charity garden centre for resale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Lol. I was expecting a pic of the topless men MrsSD!
We watched The Departed and Scarface yesterday. I totally did not remember The Departed even though I know I have seen it at least twice, but it was excellent. Scarface was less impressive, which surprised me. I prefer Carlito's Way.2025 GOALS

I can recommend the Blue Ridge Parkway in US. Runs from Tennessee border and Great Smoky Mountains 470 miles across North Carolina and Virginia - at the top we joined the Skyline Drive to my nieces house in W Virginia. We took a week stopping 2 days at Asheville to explore the Southern end and then days at odd hotels or B & Bs on the way. We had been staying in NE Florida and Savannah, Georgia and drove across South Carolina to Asheville in North Carolina. Real rural America. Slow driving, loads to see, very helpful rangers, super free maps, bears etc.
Knees are a little sore today but I have managed to stay upright. I have a viewing booked for my house at last!

PIP, quick update and encouragement to others.. dd1 had pip , and last summer had to renew, gave her no points 2 on mandatory consideration and submitted an appeal ready to go to tribunal. In process of getting more evidence and then had call from DWP saying reviewed and giving her what she had before. Quite alot of work but at least doesn't have to go to tribunal. She's just been diagnosed with other conditions so v stressed which aggravates all her problems. Sorry, just meant to say don't give up hope on it.
In pr of new to me trews but generally stemming the flow of ins but need more outs!
Parcel posted of sold items ( tablecloth and napkins so may count as 5)..15 -
Feel rubbish today as woke up early and am still trying to fight off this cold thing that the kids kindly shared with me. I've now lost my voice...Quick update for today though as somehow I managed to both do some tidying and some decluttering. I've also realised that I have a few things in the bathroom drawer that I haven't been using, so I will start using them and get rid if I don't like them or otherwise just use them up. Might take a while though...Digital:
