More stuff decluttered and some cash as well as its my DGGD's first birthday in July in the USA, and my DGD Holly is flying out to NYC on the 27th of this month for a weeks holiday and she said if you get Daisy birthday present I will pack it and take it with me, save all the postage etc.
So I bought The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar as she apparently loves stories and will enjoy her Mum or Dad reading to her like more little ones do. I will try to find another one maybe a nursery rhyme one so she will have three books of her own .All of my grandchildren and my other two great granddaughters have had books from an early age and its never too soon to get children interested in books and stories.I'll also add some dollars to her bank account as well.
I'm hoping they will come over the England at some point in the next year or so, so both myself and her other great Grandma can see her in the flesh

Apologies for the absence, but with the builders gone for now and a bank holiday weekend here, the decluttering has been awesome.
I forgot I gave a doll to a friend last week, so adding that to my total plus this lot which has all gone off to the recycling centre/recycling bins at the supermarket now:15 carrier bags
1 computer bag
2 pictures
1 frame
1 small bin
1 shower
1 towel rail
1 cabinet
4 boxes
3 bags rubble
1 letter opener
20 glass bottles
15 batteries
2 cans spray paint
3 floorboards
1 storage box
1 tub old manure pellets
10 plumbing items
1 painted flower pot
4 plastic pots
That's another 89 items added to the total, and definitely ahead as I'm on 958/2024 items for the year. July 2nd is exactly halfway through the year, so that's 57 days to declutter another 54 items. Kind of one a day then!
Keep reading books!

Struggling today with trying to shake off this cold and attempting to referee two kids. However, as we've been home most of the day, I've sorted out the big pile of things to go to charity and various places as well as DS wanting to go through a few things in his room. So lots to declare, although I'm still nowhere as minimal as I would like to be yet. However, finding stuff is just getting harder and harder. I still don't understand how people online seem to declutter their house in a week/a few months. I've been doing it for years and every time I think I am on maintenance decluttering, I realise that I still have too much stuff.I also survived a visit from my parents who didn't bring too much stuff, so that was a win.Digital:

@QueenJess please tell your DS that his cake is scrummy! 😁
I decluttered some £s at the GC earlier, but signed up for their loyalty scheme which discounted five plants by over 50% AND got a free tomato plant as my freebie for this month 😊
I've also bought new curtains for my bedroom after spending an hour searching for the best price. I just need to buy the paint & attack the walls now... and Billy the Paint has been & quoted to do my spare room as the ceiling needs doing, so that will get done in June.
Finally, my new duvet and mattress topper were picked up. Topper is relaxing on top of the bed, duvet will stay packed as it is a winter weight one, my 4-seasons one has gone very patchy - I needed a fleecy blanket over me this winter and it wasn't as cold as the previous year. It would probably benefit from a tumble in a laundrette dryer, but there isn't one near me so it will have to wait.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

shocked at the prices at the garden centre. £25 for a single lupin!!! Granted in bloom and a beautiful colour but sorry no. Not after having been given about 15 foxgloves for free. Some up to 3 feet in height!! So hoping for some to flower, otherwise I'll have to wait til next year.
Oh and typing interrupted - phone rang and I've qualified to get £200 cashback from some company. I said "great, just pop the cheque in the post!" Hello Not much packing has been happening here! I seriously need to get back in gear!Anyway today I went to the recycling centre with a broken mirror frame, glass smashed last week ( was out in garden)
a broken down lawnmower! It broke down 1/4 way through cutting the grass last week. Gave it another go this afternoon but nah so out it went! A broken tripod lamp that I loved but broken and not fixable so out it went. And 4 bags of rubbish and 2 broken hoovers from DD2 house. Their seller had left a broken hoover! Anyway my wee car was full, I usually go to the tip first thing in the morning and this was last appointment of the day! Holy moly! It was stinky! Anyway a good job done! And I had a large dog crate from when we flew our dog over here that has sat and taken up a huge space for almost 7 years. So it’s getting collected tonight/tomorrow by a dog charity. So that’s a great big chunky thing out the garage.Gave four bags of kindling to daughter’s in laws. We were at garden centre this morning and they were looking at them and I said oooh I’ve got some in the garage!Right! I’m back on it!15 -
Hubby was away this weekend so I did his share of the housework…am absolutely pooped and my back hurts. Ah well, Tis done! I was going to declutter some fierce dandelions in the front (the bees have had their fill) but after poking at them a bit I stopped. No energy at all and back to work in the morning😊 at least I can sit all day.⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

estimating at 665 after textile purge from yesterday. Found item I've sold so packaged ready to go tomorrow (phew), old curtain rail out, a few things listed couple of broken unidentified items. 2 tops and 2 bags in the CS bag. Have too many plates but decided to keep for the moment, not the most urgent, out voucher for hotel I'll never go to (and is from 2019), unknown CD, trying to make sense of various desks and bureaus so know where things are.....
Found a couple of vintage aprons which are quite fun, so decided I will use an apron more often and avoid the many spills I find on my tops (saves the washing of clothes which makes them last longer).

Grannykate wow, that sounds quite spectacular- I've got my 'ten' paddles up!
Seriously, I hope you don't hurt too much tomorrow. I fell out the car the other day. From the stinging in my hand (still stinging that night in bed) you'd think I'd fallen from height, not just the height of a car seat. Slap! Hands down, knees down. I sat on the kerb to gather myself and some lovely little new leaves tickled my back where my tshirt had rucked up. After a few minutes...???..agh! Nettles!! That stung, in a different way, for hours. Next day I was sore all over.
Vulpix, gorgeous lamp and shade
