What a day ! Short husky sledding tour where I did a quick sketch of the leader and some of the huskies
Then onto the wolf dog sanctuary where I got a quick snap of a savage wolf dog chewing up its prey
Back to the train, being driven by the relief team of Lord Belborough and Brackett
Then, whilst having afternoon tea in the buffet car I spotted a baby bear (in slippers but with a scarf cos its cold) playing in a daisy meadow and the edt slowed enough that I managed to get a photo
Hold tight folks, we are off again 🚆 🚄

Hi chums cupboard under the stairs completely cleared to the tip, Top shelf of wardrobe also completely cleared now
i even found a home for my eldest DDs wedding dress which sat on the top shelf for the past almost 29 years and she’s been married 36 years. Why it ended up in my wardrobe I can’t remember. But she said to either tip it or CS it. I did better than that, I was talking to my dear little neighbour who’s getting remarried next year and she said what size and I told her 12 she was really interested and I said if she wanted it she could have it FOC she was so excited and I said you’re welcome 🥰 so I passed it over the fence and half an hour later she came out as I was getting my washing in with a huge smile and said it’s perfect I’m so pleased as I know her and her partner don’t have a great deal of spare cash as her ex is very awkward when it even comes to paying for their two children. So as she was there I asked if she could use any cleaning/ decorating bits and she said yes please, so her and her eldest little girl popped round and emptied two cupboards under the sink plus the decorating bits from the other cupboard next to it. So another set of double cupboards emptied and cleared 👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰 I’m so pleased and the cupboards were a bit of a worry to me as I don’t bend in the middle very well A brilliant days decluttering today 😃😃😃👍21 -

Hi.
Mrs SD, what a treat to see a wood pecker, I have never seen ours, but he is very busy.
I will tell the Estate Agent on Wednesday to price to sell quickly. The house owes my Mum nothing as she has lived there 72 years. We just want rid of it now.
As we are going to Calafornia on the train it would be rude not to go to Disneyland. and a visit to wee nancy's library, perhaps on a book sale day. Please could we have a stop at the giant redwood national park too?
Daisy, hahahaha loving your holiday pics. That is a beauty of a wolf.
Good work today London 1.
The sofa guy wanted to rearrange, so he is coming Wednesday now. The dryer has sold. My late SIL bought it for Mum but she never used it once because of the cost! I need to chivvy the man who says he is having the wardrobes. Just the cooker to sort out. It is all electric but I think I need someone to disconnect it. Oh, we have given the washer away, being collected tomorrow.
I have been knitting and thinking about making a tote bag for DD1's BF. The fabric I have is just not quite enough to make 2 bags. I have had a brain wave about the new lamps shade. I am going to cover the one the lamp came with. I have just the right off cut of fabric. I could do with a few more hours in a day.

Floss - we actually have two Washingtons - one on each coast. The state of Washington is right across from British Columbia - and is known for its trees and Mt. St. Helen's volcano. If you want to go to the capital, Washington DC, it is about four extra days each way by train. Right now might not be the best time to go there what with the election problems and the protests about Gaza and Israel. I'd hate for anyone to go any see the idiots in Congress. Not too different from any other country I guess - just more of them with some extreme flakies in there. Most of the things to see in the United States are around the edges - the middle is very empty with miles of corn or desert or trees. Though I will admit much of the coast is trees - Washington and Oregon in particular on the West Coast. I don't know how people can say our country is too full of people - there are hundreds of miles of nothing out there.17

4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH trimmed the front hedge, washed the new to him motorcycle seat & spent a bit of time tidying up in the garage - binning a small bag of detritus. After breaking down cardboard boxes, I have spent Sunday afternoon & evening knitting & practising embroidery stitches only to find that I need linen/cotton mix fabric rather than the aida 14 count fabric which is too stiff to practise with 😔 Dinner was the 2nd half of our curries, whilst DSis had lo creamy bacon & pea linguine. Wudupa.
713 - 723 Kitchen recycling, 3 medium cardboard boxes, very large cardboard box, 3 lots of paper packaging, large paper sack, foil containers, drinks cans - recycled

728 Bag of batteries to be dropped off at sm
It is so late that I will post & go to bed. Monday, I will have a concerted effort to catch up with the cheerleading 🙂

Came home from Church yesterday morning and had a quick lunch.
A friend dropped off some old greeting cards so I sorted those.
I traced out more aprons - I am going to make myself two aprons as badly needed.
I went back to Church and sorted donations before cooking for the afternoon cafe service. We were Blessed to not have to make sandwiches as M & S had given us lots on Saturday evening.
Up early today - already done the ironing.
SA is closed today.

The US is such a diverse country I toured with a friend in 2007 and we had a wonderful time New York was very noisy at night but so exciting to turn a corner and your almost in a different country from Little Italy to various neighbourhoods Chinatown etc it was so interesting
I loved the piers, a bit like our Covent Garden in London only better. A huge bookshop we went into and I spent far too much money in.Central Park and the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon .
Little did I realise then, my eldest grandson Danny would in 2016 be living almost around the corner from the Dakota Building
Ellis Island was fantastic, and I looked up my late Uncle David, who arrived in 1912 with $50 in his pocket and on the ships manifesto you can look up on their computer, and it even tells you how tall he was, the colour of his hair and eyes and where he was going to stay .
Washington DC was extremely hot and humid but to see the memorials is a must ,and the cemetery where Kennedy is buried is jaw dropping, and the guard changing is a site to see.
But our favourite place was Virginia and Pennsylvania the scenery is so beautiful and we even drove down to Raleigh .An amazing country to visit though , dreadful TV but the people are so nice and friendly and love visitors, especially two old ladies who natter to them
Today I am doing more decluttering I have a pile of stuff to go to the charity shop, a bag of rubbish for the dustmen tomorrow, and this morning I am decluttering to my youngest granddaughter a white lacy wrap that her granddad bought me about 50 years ago when we were in Malta on Gozo Island, and bought from the lace making old lady who sat on her doorstep in the sun with her fingers flying with her bobbins making wraps for the tourists who visit.
She is also going to have the white mink stole, bought by my late husband in 1970 which I have worn only twice and its been sitting in its box ever since.
She always wanted it as a little girl and I doubt she will wear it either, but she said it reminds her of her Grandpa as she actually played dressing up with it as a little four year old with her grandpa and she was always the 'film star' or Princess and would strut around posing and wavingher grandpa would call her your Majesty and pretend to be her trusty butler and eventually they would dissolve into giggles. I also have a boxed set of scrabble she can take to school as she is a school teacher and they are always looking for boxed games.
The weather has returned to being very wet today but its not cold at least just very damp
Onwards and Upwards chums
