Btw, you can hire a bathing suit and towel at the hot springs in Banff. Like old time suits, with legs down to the knees. The wolf sanctuary is pretty close, a very interesting visit, meeting wolves and wolf dogs who can't fend for themselves. Oo, also remembered there is a massive all year round Christmas shop in Banff for Christmas lovers like me.
Vx
Well must say I've never met a wolf dog that couldn't fend for itself. Though I suppose the ones that can't get "filtered" out by nature. The ones near my family farm (10 miles from Niagara Falls) are vicious. One doesn't go out without serious protection at night.

London1 fantastic news for your daughter!
Vulpix I had a good think about your garden and I love your colour scheme so much I’m going to adopt it! From now on any flowery things will be white which will save me a lot of time and energy when I’m let loose in the garden centre 😊 I get mentally frazzled choosing plants and drained…..

daisythelab - thanks for info.
Got Mr F into bed the same time as me last night ( after he had taken an hour and a half to have a shower ) but he woke me up to complain that I had all the bed - I didn't he had way more than half. We didn't go to the prayer breakfast at 9 - had a lie in as he had also woken me up during the night by snorting.
When I went downstairs this morning - garage and front door were unlocked + kitchen door was open and lights left on all night. I will need to check all the house after he is in bed.
I took stuff to the charity shop and called in at SA - Mr F met me there.
Sunny day - got the washing out.
We are going to SA at 7 to take in the food delivery.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Well that didn’t quite go to plan 😉 I woke up at 10:00 to brilliant sunshine but decided to have a couple more hours sleep having gone to bed so late. You’ve guessed it - 2 hours turned into 4 & not only have I woken up with a headache but the beautiful weather has vanished & there are big black clouds & it is about to rain 🌧️ 14:30 & it is raining however I did get to see the woodpecker again & managed to take a couple of photos on DH’s all singing all dancing camera 🥳 Of course I missed the sunrise in Canada 😉 but at least it is dry so I am looking forward to today’s visit to the wolf sanctuary as mentioned by vulpix 😊
Anyway back to reality - I have loaded the wm & am settling down to catch up with cheerleading 🤞
vulpix, I hadn’t realised there was a wolf sanctuary near Banff - so I have arranged a visit this afternoon 😊 What a great day of decluttering on Thursday 🥳👏 I think you are definitely on track to empty your Mum’s house by the end of the month 🙏 As to your brother (I originally typed “bother” 🤣) no doubt he will make out that he has been helping 😠 although least said soonest mended 😉 Hopefully when you do go away you manage to get some decent weather 🤞
GrannyKate, sounds like you had a lovely break 😊although tinged with sadness 😔 Some great decluttering 👏 At least having bought some new clothes for your holiday in Greece you have a real incentive to lose some weight to show them off to best advantage 😊 I find that with the weather being so awful I am completely disinclined to eat salad 😔 Sorry to hear that you haven’t had any viewers yet - I think it might be a combination of the poor weather & the current political uncertainty about when there will be an election 😞 Keeping everything crossed that better weather will have people flocking to view & that someone will fall in love with your house 🙏👏 P.S. The Adirondacks looks stunning 🤩
daisy_1571, you are truly entering into the spirit of our trip to Canada 😊 I am very impressed that you not only took photos of the Aurora Borealis but have already framed them 😅 I hope you didn’t splurge too much in the Christmas & patchwork shops 😉
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 You are definitely in the groove now 😊 Although a real shame about the broken glass 😱 Please, please wear shoes indoors 🙏as no matter how well you have swept up/vacuumed, it is likely that shards of glass will continue to appear for at least the next couple of weeks ☹️ Hope little cat is OK 🙏
bamboo_socks, I had to smile at your comment about the bag of clothes 😄 Hopefully the van will be empty next week 🤞
Florenceem, thanks for the information about the clothing donations 👏 Another busy day at SA 👏 Sorry to hear about MrF ☹️ Hopefully you can get an emergency appointment with your GP 🤞🙏 We have finally had our election results & I am relieved 😮💨
Siebrie, what a great result with the garden furniture 🥳 How awful for your husband especially as it had to go all the way to the CEO before he was exonerated 😔 Sounds like sour grapes by the colleague wishing he had the idea of refurbishing & selling the computers 😡 Although I have to say I would have thought reporting him to the police would have been a more appropriate action rather than just not renewing his contract 🤨
Siebrie great news that changing your supplier is resulting in such a good monthly saving.
Lovely cheerleading vulpix 😊 Sounds like the end is in sight with the clearance of your Mother’s house 😮💨 Sorry to hear that it has been so draining but please be very proud of yourself 🥹 Thank you for the news about bit_by_bit - she is always in my thoughts & prayers.
Not an intrusion daisythelab 😊 Thank you for popping in & sharing such potentially useful information for Florenceem 👏 I hope you will continue to post as we all love to see a new face 🙏
I have caught up on a couple of pages (albeit very slowly) so will post this & have a bowl of hm soup - DH has said it is delicious 🤞 TD is now on as it has been raining on & off for the last 3 hours ☹️

Run out of steam this afternoon got two more boxes packed and some more stuff for decluttering , but I think my Covid jab from yesterday has finally caught up with me as the nurse said it might, so I'm now sitting down with my knitting and my feet up and a cuppa and not doing anymore today.
Blooming rain came back again this afternoon which really doesn't help my aching joints, but got a bit more done at least.
Two chest of drawers packed away into suitcases so the drawers are empty ready for the moving chaps.I know they can bring the drawers down separately but I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for them. its going to be a loong day when we move.
Its all the bric a brac that is such a nuisance as you think shall I bin it or take it ? I can't believe how many photo frames I have i did declutter a bagful to the local charity shop as well I think I may have another bag for them
cheers chums from a rather worn out

I shall try and find a picture of Adirondack bears. Last trip to US driving Blue Ridge Parkway I managed to be looking the wrong way when hubby spotted mama bear and two cubs on his side of the road. Not done much again today but children had good day at Mablethorpe with DS2.

525-527 Three tops to CS suitcase I am filling
528 Nice coat to CS - I bought it for late DH's funeral and don't like wearing it

Sorry MrF is having troubles again @Florenceem

Lovely borrowed plant Granny Kate.
Congratulations for your daughter London 1, your move was just meant to be, everything has just fallen into place.
Brie, the inmates at the wolf dog sanctuary all had a tale of woe. The place is called Yamnuska. When we went they did have wolves too but I expect they would have died of old age by now.
Mrs SD, thank you so much for your encouragement. I am determined to have that house empty and on the market before the end of the month. Least said the better about my bother, no typo.
Muddy, lovely flowers. I am touched that I have inspired you to have a white garden, they are lovely in the evening. If you don't have one already get a Philadelphus. The scent in the evening is lovely. I find gardening healing. I am so happy that you have a new garden to plan and look forward to.xx I may have bought myself a baby Japanese maple today. My lovely one died or should I say drowned after the past winter.
Granny Kate ,we saw bears too. We went to Banff in May, the snow had just melted and the bears were tempted to the roadside to eat the sweet grass there. We also saw moose, they are massive! I would love to see your bear pics. When my son lived in Banff he played rugby for a team called the Banff bears. They had to stop a game one day as real bears wandered onto the pitch.
Went to Mother's, someone collected the dressing table and a different person collected some garden tools. DD1 took some things to her Grandma from the house which gave us a bit of time off. Result, we have sold the beautiful oak cupboard on FB. The people are going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks so have paid a deposit and will collect when they get back. Someone is possibly interested in the sofa, chair and pouffe. Fingers crossed. He is coming to look tomorrow. I need to start to clear the worktops in the kitchen. The estate agent comes Wednesday. Oh even better news the builder came and put up scaffolding for the lintel repair. I am feeling a little less fraught but feel like a cold and sore throat is coming.
Went to Bury market to buy wool from the amazing wool stall. You should visit Mrs SD if you are up North on the bike, btw, have you been out in the car yet?
I have been looking for a tall lamp for ages for a certain spot in the sitting room. Got one today in line with my only buy second hand rule for this year. I will donate the shade as it isn't my taste. I have found a second hand shade but it is £45. !!!!!!
We have our " casualties" training on Monday. I suppose I had better open the manual. We will also have makeup training to give ourselves realistic injuries for people to practise their first aid on. It is all very well regulated and there is a Union. I think we have been volunteered to be on a stall to raise awareness at this years country show.

Oh you lucky thing vulpix I love Bury Market. My nephew used to be the vicar at St Ann’s in Tottington and I have been up there several times and it’s the best market I’ve ever been to. I too used to go to the wool stall as the range of stuff was great it’s about 5 years since I was last in the north of England as I live in deep Kent😃and soon will be on the IoW I have a friend who lives in Marple as well. I used to love going up to Manchester such a lovely friendly lot of people up there. And you get amazing sized portions of food in the pub lunches 🤣🤣
DD is still walking on air about her dream job, house and area we are going to live in 🤣 we both have tip runs tomorrow and DHS Ben is coming inthe morning to load my car up for me so I can rid myself of stuff I can’t find a home for.Blooming arm is quite sore and hot with a hard swelling from the Covid jab but the nurse did warn me because of the medication I’m on for a dicky heart andBP plus the blood thinners I would feel a bit crook for several days better than getting Covid though it’s my 6th vaccine and touch wood I’ve not yet succumbed to the virus 🤞🤞🤞👍so the vaccines work just mixed with other medication the make you feel a bit under the weather for a couple of days. DGD Katie’s throat is getting a little better after having her infected tonsils out. She was in a lot of pain for nearly a week and the Dr gave her some liquid morphine but she’s like me and it really make her feel a hundred times worse with a banging head dizziness and throwing up so she gave it back to the chemist as she said sh just couldn’t keep in down
On my hospital files written in large letters on the front it say DO NOT ADMINISTER MOPHINE PATIENT SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION and my granddaughter is the same.Right I’m going to have a bit of R & R and read my book hot water bottle on my feet and back for achy joints maybe the sun might appear tomorrow and cheer us all up night night God bless all here18 -

The hm soup was delicious 🤤 The rain has stopped although it is still very overcast. The td is on & I have been practising freehand embroidery stitches. DH has ordered me a starter kit (seems a shame that I donated all my previous supplies to the cs during one of my previous decluttering sessions 😉) I have been inspired to take it up again as I have a specific project in mind 🤫 which I would like to start asap. DH has just ordered curries for the two of us & Chinese for DSis. Dinner was delicious & all 3 of us have enough for a second meal 🙂
DH even got a 40% discount on our curries 🥳 Wudupa
707 - 710 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine, booklet - recycled

DSis & I watched BGT - a couple of hilarious acts 🤣 Then we watched a film called Strays - funny in parts but way too much swearing for my taste.
daisy_1571, very kind of you to remind brown bear of his homeland 😊
Muddy_Walker, so sorry to hear that you have been so ill 🤒 but pleased to hear that you are on the mend 😊 I hope you are making use of the TLC Carriage & have taken time to wander along to the glass domed carriage 😉 Your comment “……… as I was very ill shall forgive myself. I have also had the “he said/she said” with the chemist v the doctors…..normally I get riled up but this time said “you know what? I am too poorly to care so one of you get it sorted”. That actually worked surprisingly…..🤣” I will have to remember that for future reference although I hope I never have to use it 🙏 Sorry to hear that dealing with your PIP & pension frogs has given you a headache ☹️ Excellent decluttering by the way 👏 You have earned your first Gold Star ⭐️ for 126/500 - a quarter of the way to this year’s target 😊 Absolutely we can go husky sledding - how about tomorrow? You can have anything from half an hour to 4 hours 😊 I think I preferred “hubby person” as I loved the idea of passing them on 🤣
Lovely post Florenceem 😊 I will keep an eye on the Bust my Stash Thread to see your makes 😉
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 How lovely that DD1 is doing the cooking 😊
retiredinfrance, very relieved to hear that MrRif is doing so well 😊 He sounds like he is definitely on the mend if he is complaining about the food 😉😉 Excellent decluttering 👏
Thank you daisythelab 😊
Muddy_Walker, thanks for that 👏😊
TC77, thank you for your observations about PIP - hopefully it will encourage Muddy_Walker & others to persevere with their applications 🙏 Some excellent decluttering 👏 Well done on helping Big Cat in his/her dieting efforts 😉 “Really trying to do the like with like but takes time to find things and remember where the 'like' is for the other 'like' to be with it, and then when I find another take it to the same place!” That is so familiar 😅
oceanspirit, well done to OH for getting the frog sorted 👏 Pleased to hear that you are enjoying the Canadian trip 😊 As there are now a couple of votes for an Orient Express experience Paris to Istanbul I will start investigating availability 😉
vulpix “chasing the cherry blossom” sounds wonderful 😊 & our EDT driver will love competing with the Japanese bullet trains - she really is a speed freak 😂 I am still in a state of shock at how readily & happily she has taken to driving us so slowly through the Rockies 😳
daisythelab, thank you so much for sharing this information 👏
I am slowly catching up with the cheerleading 😮💨
