@Muddy_Walker , you have been through it, hugs coming your way too, and I hope you're not too overwhelmed with all the forms...PIP is purposely made difficult but it's worth reading the criteria carefully and remember its about being able to do things reliably, safely and in a timely manner etc. Citizens Advice can be very helpful.
Handed in files, folders and packs of pencils to donation place, also small bag of things to CS.
Little cat has an overactive thyroid so hopefully getting medication next week, and Big Cat (nearly 4 times the weight) has lost a little. I think I've got rid of all the clothes I definitely wouldn't wear even if they fitted me but not prepared to accept yet that I won't fit in others !!
Really trying to do the like with like but takes time to find things and remember where the 'like' is for the other 'like' to be with it, and then when I find another take it to the same place!

Been dealing with difficult rellie recently so other things have been on the back burner. Have been able to get rid of a few more papers and DVDs, plus a bit more from the food stocks.
The huge frog that OH has been dealing with on my behalf is now completed with a better result than expected. Such a relief it is done and am looking forward to tackling more frogs when time permits.
Loving the Canadian trip. As for the next one, I am with vulpix re Orient Express - can we go all the way from Paris to Istanbul and invite Aunt Augusta to accompany us?Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅19 -

Interesting day so far. Had to take roommate G to the doctor's early - had to be there at 7:45. Started reading a book in the car and G suddenly reappeared. Seems the medical center will no longer accept his medical insurance. Will need to find him a new doctor - he may start going to ours. Since we had extra time before going to the bank, we went out for breakfast at Taco Bell. Young man working there was great. He even gave us free iced tea and delivered it to the table. Then went to the bank so that G could pay the current month's rent and half of last month's. Filled car with gas for the next two weeks (or longer if we are lucky). Home to pay a bill, 2 more to go today. Went to my doctor's appointment. Need to knit a cover for one elbow as have pinched nerve in said elbow. Will try that before considering surgery. He also said that my leg problem is from a pinched nerve in my back - not from the neuropathy. He is ordering some therapy visits for me. Hopefully, they will include hot pads on my back! Went home, got roommate Di and took her for her appointment with her doctor. Up to page 97 in book now from all the sitting and waiting. Will hopefully finish it tonight (a light mystery). On the way home we stopped at the store-pharmacy to get her medicines and some more cat food. Finally able to eat lunch. Tonight should be a fish dinner, but we shall see.
Next two days I need to go to the library and sort books. I can do this sitting down which is great. Will also be sending out invitations inviting other Friends groups to come and visit our library in June. Might give us some clues on more ways to raise funds. We have so many brand new never-read mystery books that we are offering each group that sends someone to the meeting a free box of mysteries - either one already packed or fill their own. We just need to make sure we have cleaned up a bit before they come. We do have one more book sale before then, then we will need to organize the carts (all 60 of them) so we can find things. Also have 8 boxes of special mysteries (all signed by author) to take to a local book store before then. Going to be a busy month between the library, doctor's appointments, working at the FamilySearch Center, and school (taking PowerPoint Class). Have registered for summer school too.
Most important part of day though is reading my way through a number of threads here on MSE. Have to fit it in somehow for my own sanity and a chance to relax. Enjoying virtual travel on train. I did the Vancouver to Salmon Arm part on the real train twice round trip. Loved it. Used to cross the United States by train in many directions as friend and business partner wouldn't fly to our seminars, so we traveled together by train. Have been all over the country this way. Also took tour groups to Salt Lake City sometimes by train (no longer goes that way so can't do it now). This is also how I usually travel around the British Isles including Ireland. Have been all around the Isles by train many times. I have also driven by car around the US, especially the southern states, many times. I have taken buses all over in the US, Canada, and the British Isles. The only time I drove outside of the US and Canada was a trip to Switzerland and France with my parents and a friend. I had to do all of the driving. Fortunately it was in summer, not winter. I have lost track of the number of trips I have taken. But I did enjoy it.19 -
Hi all, just reporting in. I have had a pants few days on the decluttering. I have been under the weather and dosed up with over the counter meds and they have made me very sleepy. I have done a few bits, banking has been done and I have chased down a financial advisor and got an appointment for next week. I originally asked about this in February as I have a named advisor at the bank and want to sort out some money to get a new kitchen but the advisor was off sick so the nice lady I spoke to sent an email asking for someone to contact me. Hadn't heard anything so spoke to the same lady who tracked down the original email she had sent and fired off another one. I got a very apologetic phone call from the bank and hopefully it will be sorted out next week. Then I will feel confident about contacting the guy to do the work knowing I have the money to pay him accessible.
A while spent on sorting out footy tickets, only 2 games left this season but I do have to renew the season tickets in the next couple of weeks so that is on my list
I had a lovely meal out with the ex colleagues and found out the head is leaving, he has another job, but nobody knows any more so I have been tasked to get the gossip. I did come home with some knitting needles that someone no longer wanted. I do have quite a few sets but these came in a lovely padded case so I will have a sort through them all, keep the best and cs the rest
. I was also annoyed with myself as I had sorted a couple of bits of unused cosmetic stuff to pass on and then forgot to take them but I am hopefully meeting up with a couple of them some time next week for a coffee so I will take them then
OH came home with 2 trays that look useful as they have non slip bits on them but also 2 small baking trays that are very light weight aluminium and I am sure won't last very long which is a bit annoying as I am actually trying to empty the kitchen, such is life.
The only other things are 1 LDFPA, bathroom bin and kitchen bin emptied and a small bag of garden waste. Very poor showing but it is what it is. I kept looking at things but not actually getting anything done
Many apologies as I haven't caught up with the posts, kept trying to but found myself dropping off to sleep due to the meds and completely losing track of where I was up to, but I will try to catch up in the next couple of days. Hugs to everyone who would like one.

So much for coming back yesterday when I was fully awake 😅 I did wake up but forgot to come back 🙊 Firstly I would like to thank our Declutterati family for embracing our ‘virtual’ trip 😊 It is brightening up otherwise dull days 🥳 although as an added bonus I finally saw the woodpecker that has been visiting our bird feeders for the last few days 🙂 A wet day as it rained on & off ALL day 🌧️ I did one load of washing but had to dry indoors & I will do the 2nd load tomorrow. I did a few bits today - did a minor repair on DH’s base layer trousers Before washing them 😉; wrote a couple more birthday cards; sorted some paperwork; did some knitting & started to practise freehand cross stitch. DH zizzed some worm, finished making the soup & started cleaning the ‘new to us’ motorcycle seat & backrest. We made dinner together using an HF recipe card - roasted duck breast, Chantennay carrots & garlicky mash 😋 Wudupa

vulpix, I love your recommendations 😊 The Banff Springs Hotel is a stunning complex & the shop in Canmore sounds intriguing - good job I brought my credit card along 😉 We can buy lots of yarn & form a Knit & Natter group 😊
Florenceem, well done on spending your voucher - topping up your craft supplies 👏 So sorry to hear that MrF is struggling 😔 Hopefully you can arrange a doctors appointment in double quick time 🙏
London_1, you are doing well as you now have 2 medals & 3 gold stars 😊 Some excellent decluttering & very generous donations to the food bank 👏Yippee to signing the contract for your new house 🥳 & well done to your DD for being so far along in her packing up 👏Love the name of your removals firm “Cowes Moovers” very clever & brings a smile to my face 😃 Very pleased to hear that you had a restful Thursday afternoon 👿 Fingers crossed that your Covid booster went well 👏
Just noticed the time so I will head off to bed after posting this.

Morning all. Well I didn't get much done yesterday - dull weather and feeling very lethargic although not poorly - probably Covid jab. Good news was car brakes were fine and nothing else wrong so only £60 labour to pay and not hundreds. I think I have house to myself most of weekend as DS2 taking children out so I will crack on with cleaning etc.
519 April monthly banking done - slight improvement on last month
520 1p savings challenge pot sorted and up to date - I sometimes borrow cash from it for hairdresser/window cleaner etc but keep a note and put it back.
521 Decluttered smallish amount to garage for car
522 First of May cards written ready to post - all May cards bought so will start a June list
523 On line and wall calendars for next 3 months updated for children's school events, my holiday, another training course for DS2 in June and ensuring DS2's annual leave covers childcare when I am away in July (it does). Good morning chums ,up with the birds this morning very noisy ones that nest outside my bedroom window I don't mind them doing that as its nice to walk to bird song. Filled two bags with some more clothes and a bag full of shoes I no longer need or wear and took them across to the precinct at 07.30 am this morning as the CS don't open until 9.00 and we have two SA bin there. So the Sally Army got my donations this morning.
I only live three minutes away from the precinct if walking, so it wasn't a problem.
I also recycled to the clear glass bin some old water marked tumblers from the cupboard over the top of my cooker which I thought I'd better empty, so another cupboard cleared .
DGS Ben just texted to say he will be round at 10.30 tomorrow morning to load my car up for another tip run at lunchtime.he is off to The Sweeps festival in Rochester with his pals today About 4 miles away, rain is only expected to be a shower or two at lunchtime so they will probably shelter in one of the many local hostelries in the High Street.Rochester is a pretty place and the Sweeps Festival draws in the crowds.
DD heard yesterday that the job she went after on the IoW was hers, and she starts in June so she is chuffed to bits as its the similar sort of work she does now, and local to our new home, and the best bit no weekends just Mon-Fri and better money than what she gets now plus bonuses win-win .She is walking on air at the moment and like me can't wait to move. No on-call eitherwhich was a pain as she always seemed to get calls over Christmas or Sundays.
Right back to the packing I may need to get some more boxes I think.
I'm using sheets and towels instead of newspaper round breakable stuff along with cushions.
Cheers chums have a good decluttering day
