Well I've schlepped around the Xmas shop, the patchwork shop, the wolf sanctuary and the spa. Having a lovely time, thanks all. Forced myself into warm clothes, wooly hat, scarf and fingerless gloves and went out for the aurora borealis and managed to get some pictures - amazing. Thanks Mrs sd for arranging them

Wow, wonderful pictures Daisy,
Dropped off bag to CS and returned an item on way to office. Tonight about to go to bed, but got something out of kitchen cupboard not realising how full the counter was and glass smashed into 100s of pieces. A long time hoovering and sweeping!
Also little cat not well and waiting for blood test results, but found has fleas despite treatment! Working out if i have to wash everything or only hoover well and things on floor etc! Threw out hall runner, which I don't like so gave me an excuse, tiles underneath but as warmer weather will be ok.
The attractions of having little to clean, wash and look after or break is very appealing18 -
Finished a tube of body moisturiser earlier this week, so that's gone. Dropped off a couple of parcels on Wednesday. One of the 'missing' items turned up, fortunately the one that cost more. The other buyer is mithering so I think I'll just refund them and be done with it.
Looking at the weather, I should try and prioritise the more summery stuff to sell.
The local primary school has clothing collections which raises money for them. I had a bag full that DH had to drop off as I was working. He decided to lead with 'I forgot to drop it off' and not 'the clothes weren't collected today as the van was full so it'll be next week, which is handy as I forgot to drop them off'. Phew (once I'd calmed down 🙃).16 -
MrsSD - all our recycled bags of clothes are stored outside in large plastic crates. We also have a hopper. When all are full - that is when I have to resort to setting up a pile to cover with plastic sheeting.
I went back to SA after lunch and sorted out a trolley of stuff which I took into the charity shop. I went back to SA and did more sorting of crates up on the balcony.
Mr F went to the chemist to get some emergency tablets.
I went back to SA to lock up.
I went to bed at 10.15 - Mr F just had to get himself ready for bed. I was too tired to wait for him. I woke for the bathroom at 1 - he was not in bed. Same as the previous night - undressed and said he had been on the toilet - how did this take 3 hours!
I struggled to get off to sleep when I managed to get him to go to bed.
When I came downstairs this morning - the garage door was unlocked - Mr F had forgotten to do it.
I was meant to be counting with C at 9 but when I text him this morning - he is not available.
Rain forecast for most of the day.
At least I woke to great news on the local elections.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Wednesday was 1 May - Labour Day - and a national holiday in Belgium. I spent the day cleaning a teak wood garden set (oval dining table and 4 folding chairs) that a friend had given me. She is clearing out her uncle's apartment and tries to sell as much as possible (it's her apartment, he rented it from her), but there were no takers for this set as it had been outside for 2 years and the uncle had woodstained it and it didn't look too good. I've taken the pressure washer to it (on her advice) and used the special cleaning product on 1 chair so far, and it's looking really good. Husband was protesting about the state of the set, but his friend who happened to come by said it was a better quality set than they had, so husband is appeased.I'm expecting quite a few items to come my way from that apartment. I will pick what I can use (for instance, small genuine Tupperware containers) and pass on the rest to relatives in Africa.Husband works in IT for a bank that was recently merged and many of the laptops, etc were phased out. He asked for them and was given them, and then a colleague hid them and tried to blame my husband for making off with them! It went all the way to the CEO and husband was cleared. The contract of the colleague will not be renewed. Anyway, all laptops, etc have been fixed and sold by husband, and have left the house. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5916

I finally ate the frog and changed energy suppliers. It's calculated to save us €50 per month for a fixed rate contract! I've more or less ordered husband to start charging his company car at home, because his company reimburses at the highest rate, and we will make a profit. The profit will be put in a separate savings account to save up for a new car in a few years' time.

Daisy you are rocking this Canada trip.
GrannyKate, I did the same ,eating oranges at the US side of the border.
Siebrie, what an awful thing for your husband to deal with. Glad it was sorted out.
Florenceem, I hope you can get Mr F a GP appointment today, or at the very least speak to the people who were supporting him last year. I think you may need to prioritise him today.
I have found a cracking cruise deal for later this year. Any ideas of somewhere quiet we can go in England for a few days R and R before the end of this month?
Shorter visit to Mother's, possibly. Load the car for the tip, visit said tip and Mr V then going to visit family in Nottingham. DD1 should arrive late afternoon. I need to sew up a baby hoody as she is going to visit DS for the weekend. There is a bag of borrowed books to be returned to him.
Back to Mother's Saturday as someone wants the dressing table. Just the sofa to give away/ take to the tip. In the end we decided to just get rid of stuff rather than muck about with auctions.
Next week we , including DD1 will give the house a good clean. Some of the furniture that has gone has not been moved for about 40 years. I am going to take all the curtains down as it will make the space look bigger. This has been difficult physically, emotionally and logistically. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will never do this again. I am the first to volunteer to help people but I will never volunteer for this again.
Thank you for the space to vent and organise my thoughts. That includes bit by bit ,there is no news. It is family time now.

Hi, i just joined to post something for florenceem - i wonder does mr f have non tremor parkinsons?
The slowness, the losing time, the constipation, the falls, the low blood pressure maybe causing falls.
We have it in the family and it sounds very familiar.
Forgive the intrusion, i've been reading everyday for years xx

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
ERNIE was not kind to me this month but was kind to DH who won £250 😊 I wrote a couple of birthday cards, dealt with half my post, wrote a shopping list for DH & put away the shopping when he got back. It was overcast all day & rained again about 22:00. Dinner was fish in breadcrumbs, chips/fries & peas. Wudupa
694 - 696 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, drinks cans - recycled

Friday already & we are back to yet more rain & lower temperatures - 11C at 12:30 & only forecast to rise to 14C. DH has started a soup so an opportunity to use up bits & pieces of los from both fridge & freezer 🙂
I have my first cuppa & will come back later once I have woken up properly 😉
Hoping everyone has as good a day as possible whatever the weather 🤞
