Hi Mrs SD, you can use any old fabric to practice your embroidery, old tea towels, old pillow case ,clothes etc. What will you be making? I love a craft project.
Another one up early but still tired. I will put yesterdays laundry away then head up to Mother's.

That was definitely a woodpecker I saw in my garden a few months back. I haven't seen it since, although I did see the jay again.
Lots of interesting posts!I would like to go to the US too. Maybe one day! My online friend in the US said she has had bear sightings in her area the past few days.
I have done a lot of decluttering and reorganising since I last posted. I can't even think of everything now as it was too much to write down. I am trying to go through food stocks too. I have started making a big dent in my stash of herbal teas. I found out that I have a strawberry and cucumber tea that tastes nice if you steep a few bags and then have it in sparkling water with ice. Very refreshing. It is not the weather for that today as it is rainy here today. I'm just having a coffee now.
The couple we know from London booked us in at a cat cafe for July. It now means I have lots of social events in a four week period from the end of June - July. I am looking at this next few quiet weeks as a chance to get all the little jobs out of the way for the house before we hopefully put it on the market.
We have been watching more classic films in the evening too. Last night was Donnie Brasco and St Elmo's Fire. I really enjoyed both! We have The Long Kiss Goodnight for later. I quite fancy watching The Godfather films now too.

I regret (sort of) to say I have been cluttering rather than de. Neighbour gave me a buddleia from their front garden (now safely plugged into an unruly corner by one of the sheds.) and I'm off in a bit to pick up foxgloves from someone on freegle. One can never have enough foxgloves. They are the scarves of the plant world.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Brie, I've done the same today - 2 small calla lilies for the damp bed, a pot of freesias, a small jasmine (both destined for near my table & chair where I often eat in summer) and a passion flower. Also acquired a free tomato plant as my monthly bonus from the garden centre.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

When I picked up our 'new' garden set, I was also given about 12 small lidded Tupperware bowls. I'm always looking for small containers to send snacks to dds' school or our work, or to save small bits of dinner for the next day. They were a bit 'old plastic' smelly, so I g88gled and soaked them in sunlight for an hour, and then in vinegar for a day. The smell is gone now!I have so far removed old paint from all 4 teak wood chairs, used a cleaning product on 3, oiled 2. It's all in-between other activities and I don't have much space to let them dry under cover. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5913

Like others a few things have come in rather than gone out. New strimmer/lawn edger as the old one binned ages ago. Slightly hazardous gardening time. Front lawn cut and stones swept back where they belong. Decided to push against small dead tree to see how easy it was to get out - it snapped near the bottom and I landed chest and knees first on those stones. Sat a while pulling weeds before I shuffled across to the lawn to pull myself up. Went back to pick up what I dropped and promptly fell over the 3 inch stump left by the tree. This time I managed to catch myself before I went right down. Glass of wine time now.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thank goodness for that - it is a Bank Holiday Monday & it is raining 😂 Up very late & with a headache 😔 Hopefully a mug of tea will sort that out 😉 Timer is on & I am going straight into cheerleading.
London_1, Bury Market sounds wonderful 🤩 I will have to persuade DH to take me ……. but only on the bike as I could see me bankrupting us if we went in the car 🤣 I am not surprised that your DD is still walking on air - dream job, dream house, dream location 😊 Pleased to hear that DGD Katie is recovering properly now that she is no longer on morphine 😮💨 Fingers crossed that your sore arm will get better quickly as it sounds very painful 😔 I will see later if you were lucky enough to have sunshine on Sunday 😉
weenancy, hope you enjoyed spending Sunday in Calgary & hopefully you had time to visit your family in Red Deer 🙂 We are now in Yellowknife & the clouds have almost cleared - we will enjoy the sunshine for a few hours before travelling to the cloudier Whitehorse, YT & down through Prince Rupert to Vancouver. Tuesday we will wake up in Seattle, Washington. Thank you again for sharing your travels - such wonderful memories 😊
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & good luck with May’s mini challenge 🍀 Hopefully another 25 items out of the kitchen will mean you are happy & can move on to your next challenge 🤞🙂
Excellent decluttering in the kitchen oceanspirit 👏 Our next trip will be Paris to Istanbul & back again 🙂 The EDT will be teleported to Paris - date to be decided. The Lower deck of the new double-decker glass domed carriage has been based on the Orient Express (to be honest it is a copy 🙊) Fine dining at its best 😊 We would be spending a couple of days in Paris before setting off, so we could visit the fashion houses & sort out suitably smart clothing 😉 Meanwhile the TLC carriage has a new service - by popular demand we now have several hairdressers on site 😉 Not too sure why I didn’t arrange that at the same time as the manicurists, pedicurists & masseurs/masseuses 🤔
Great decluttering Pennypincin 👏 Well done on rehoming ‘not sure of’ items rather than keeping them for Justin 🥳
Florenceem, looks like I will have to forego any visit to Bury market until I have used up my current yarn stash 😉 Sorry about my recluttering 😔 Of course in the past (I.e. before online shopping 😉) I would have had the idea of a project but nothing would have come of it as I would have been too lazy to go shopping for craft supplies 😂 The amount of crafting you do I am very surprised that you don’t run out of supplies 😉
GrannyKate, the garden pots might be light but they do look rather classy 😊
vulpix, what a cheeky nurse 😳 Sounds like you are fully ready for the Orient Express but you might like to top up your wardrobe when we visit the couture houses 😉 I think you are probably correct that our driver would leave the bullet train for dust & probably be so fast that she would end up behind him 😂 Sounds like your parents did a spiffing job with the Family Tree 😊 & I loved the mention of a “successful bigamist” - I spent ages trying to work out the ‘correct’ word before reading the rest of the sentence 🤣 Poor MrV 😔 I think he will have to resort to carrying around his special teabags rather than leaving them for all & sundry to use 😉 My DSis is also finding it very warm at night & keeps popping outside to cool down 😉 Hope the big cupboard declutter was a success & that not too much had to be binned 🤞 Also crossing my fingers that MrV has a better freebie next time - maybe a box of chocolate bars 🤞😉
Muddy_Walker, pleased to hear that your dogs approved of your decision to have a restful Sunday 😊
daisy_1571, brilliant pictures 🤩 I am so happy that you are keeping such a wonderful record of our journey 😊 You are a very talented artist 🥹
One & a bit pages caught up 🙂 with the slight distraction of getting DH to order some more suitable fabric & a couple of marker pens which should be delivered tomorrow 🙊
