I'm watching each week and then will binge watch again after it's done as hubby likes to binge watch but I'm too impatient so I watch twice

vulpix said:TC77, yes I am in maintenance now, It;s a bit boring really. I got quite addicted to decluttering. I can always go and do an hour at my Mothers house if I am in the mood to declutter. I have to do small chunks there as it is over whelming.I know what you mean, it feels so good to declutter. Luckily/unluckily I have young kids that are magnets for "stuff" and so there is always something I can slightly declutter.More photo reviewing and down to 3,800 photos to review on the laptop. Refound some fabulous photos from our trip around Scotland quite some years ago.Digital:

@QueenJess I have found with small kids that stuff (..you don't want them to keep...) needs to be passed on/recycled/thrown out immediately, otherwise it 'sticks' in their heads and will be impossible to get rid of for the next 15 years

I have had a productive morning. Did ironing and paired up 2 weeks worth of socks. Finally threw 3 odd ones of DH. This lead to me sorting drawers in our bedroom. I did a big underwear cull followed by clearing out a junk draw and a jumper I have never worn. Add this to some bits of paperwork that i cleared from spare room where DH had been photocopying and newspapers dor recycling and I have unbelievably filled another bin bag. Its amazing how the little bits mount up.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good afternoon everyone. Only woke up 12:10 feeling slightly less than human but I am dressed & having my first cuppa 🙂 Currently cloudy & grey but dry, long may it last 🤞Timer is on & I will go straight into cheerleading.
Lovely to see you weenancy 😊 & as busy as always 😉 although I do hope you at least managed to get some rest over the festive season 🙏 What an excellent start to this years Decluttering Campaign 👏 “I have a dream” that 2024 is the ‘Year of Helpful Roommates’ 💭 Very pleased to hear that Missionaries are coming to help tidy the backyard 🥳 Thank you for the very timely reminder in the 2nd part of your post 👏 It is one thing to declutter & tidy up but we should be mindful of not throwing away all our sentimental items. As you say leaving ‘history’ to those with an agenda is not a good idea - to put it mildly 😔 We have been quite lucky with the storms, lots of rain & gusting winds but just the one fence panel blown down 😮💨
florianatwobob, a good start to 2024 with your DSis decluttering & you posting books to Ziffit 👏 Very kind of your cats to leave their ‘presents for the larder’ outside 😅
London_1, I think paperwork has it’s own rules 😔 I seem to have a vague recollection that in years gone by we were ‘encouraged/advised to keep ALL our official paperwork’ - ‘just in case’ & that is a hard habit to break 😔 Wishing you every success in ‘Mission clothes declutter’ - hopefully your eldest DD will leave you with some clothes to wear 🤞Hope the valuation went well yesterday 😊 Finding unexpected stuff can be both a joy & a sadness but as long as we can make rapid decisions (often easier said than done ) it doesn’t need to be a problem 🤞Hopefully our fellow declutterati will come up with some useful ideas about what to do with the portable electric typewriter 🙂
Brie, very impressive decluttering 👏
Wow Brie 🤩 Good job you decluttered 😉 Really looking forward to admiring your new kitchen when it is fitted 😊 Looks like you might have to resort to a Tip run to dispose of all the cardboard😱
~FlowerPot~, good luck with the huge frog 🍀 Typical re the microwave sizing but well done DH & DS2 for resolving the issue 👏 So pleased to hear that printing out your To Do list & putting it on the fridge has proved to be such a great motivation 😊
London_1, thank you so much for sharing your family with us 👏😊 I love hearing about your grandsons - your pride & love shines through in every word you write about them 🥹
FlacosFloozie, your daily decluttering is going very well 👏
foxandflowers, well done on your first sale 👏 Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead listing clothing 😉
Lovely to see you back oceanspirit 👋 Hopefully the plan for 2024 that you & OH create will not be scuppered like your plan for 2020 🤞🙏🙏
QueenJess, I was so pleased to hear that you had a quiet day on Wednesday 😊 although I see you still managed to find things to do 😉 Good luck with the digital decluttering 🍀
Lovely post ruby_eskimo 😊 especially this response “weenancyinAmerica your post really resonated with me as I've been keeping a journal off an on for a decade and kind of wondering why I was doing it, but now I know - it's to let the later generations know what it was like living in the here and now. We don't have children of our own and never will do, and don't have nieces or nephews so whatever we have left will be left to our godsons and I know that in those journals I've written about their parents that they might never know otherwise (not incriminating, just what they were like before they were parents). Of course there's really boring stuff in there too but it's motivated me to keep writing when I can.” What a wonderful thing to do 🥹 A good start to your 2024 Decluttering Campaign 👏
A natural place to stop at the end of a page 🤞 I wrote a shopping list earlier & sent DH off to the sm about 13:45. DSis has been sighted a few times & It Isn’t Raining 🥳
