Mrs SD, you have hit the nail on the head, passing them on to a future owner was definitely what was in the back of my mind. I need the space now so will get them out tomorrow to go to CS.
Some more DVDs sorted today to go to CS. We have a few new to us that can now be put away.
Still haven't found perfect car for us but have found a couple that will do if we don't find anything better.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16 -
Hi,
Good wishes for tomorrow nanny.
Granny Kate, that is just how I would like my top garden to look with a seating area in the middle of it. It's achievable, will probably kill me but achievable.
I / we have been at my Mum's. The large sitting room is empty. Many, many, many books have been taken to a community cafe and book shop run by the church in the village. I have given away a sewing machine,2 garden benches ,a mop and bucket and a clothes airer today. All mum's. A bag full of charity collection sacks have gone in soft plastic recycling, plus some dead batteries. I have saved some books for Mum to look through and there are 2 boxes of very old books for the auction house my Mum's cousin is organising that. She is taking Mum's Beswick horse collection and other old ceramics. The furniture is still there but we / I have decided to have the house empty and for sale by June when Mr V has his opp. I have put my foot down and told Mum today that I will not be clearing any more than I already have in the garden. Garden pots already given away. She will have to get a skip and pay someone to fill it. She has asked me to find a house clearance service for the furniture and an estate agent. There is still a massive kitchen diner and cupboard of doom under the stairs to empty first. Must get onto my builder to do the work that needs doing on the sitting room window.
I have brought a few things home today. Some koala bear ornaments that I bought my Mum when I went on a school trip in about 1966,a silver spoon with a blue john stone on the handle that my Uncle made and a tiny aeroplane that my Grandad made for my Mum from an old penny when she was little and he was in the army.
I have finally given the cast iron chair it's last coat of paint and given the left over paint to my neighbour for her garden furniture. I undid the knitting and tried several other things with it . I have settled on making a scarf which no one wanted! The good charity shop sent me a message today to say thank you for the donated knitted stuff of mine and Mum's I took in. It could always go there, trouble is 2 balls wont be enough for a scarf! I know how to make work for myself!
Home alone tomorrow. My hairdresser coming and I am hoping for a dry day to get stuck in in the gravel garden. All the pieces of patio need taking up the steps to the top garden.
I am feeling like I would like a holiday.

this is the pattern I use. (I knit quite loosely so to make a slightly smaller mitten I only cast on 32 stitches & deduct 5 knit stitches & only knit 32 rows for the main section)

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday I was up late - gone noon 😔 A dull overcast day but I thought we might get away with no rain 🤞Unfortunately we had a couple of showers after 19:00 & it was chilly all day 😔 DH tidied up the bird feeders garden box & zizzed some food for the worms. I did nothing apart from start knitting a second pair of fingerless mittens, putting a new black bin bag in the wheelie bin & cooking dinner. Bacon, eggs, oven chips, lo potato gratin (fried) & baked beans. Wudupa
565 - 566 Kitchen recycling, newspaper - recycled
567 Kitchen detritus binned

@nannywindow - hoping that all proves to have gone well with your treatment.Decluttered a medical investigative procedure that I had been dreading. Nothing serious discovered thankfully but the option of surgery to consider. Shelving that for now as too much is going on. Hopefully after the next couple of weeks I can get back on the decluttering train.Well done to all for the decluttering and organising that you are doing. Good setting of boundaries @vulpix14

Good morning chums well I'm decluttering some of my hair today as my lovely little hairdresser Gill comes to give me a trim at lunchtime . I must admit I will miss her when I move as she's been my hairdresser for around 15 years and after the first lockdown went mobile ,so now comes to my house
.But I'm sure I will find someone else My hair grows very quickly so it needs a trim every 6 weeks minimum. After chemo it grew back thicker than ever, ! but I went from fair hair to a darker brown colour when it grew back in ,mixed with a good bit of white so I'm a bit badgerishsome more bits for the CS today I keep finding stuff and thinking Hmm don't really need that and its just more to packs into a bag it goes

@GrannyKate lovely pics!
I wasn't going to count anything we are getting replaced but I am totally counting this because it's such a huge relief! It was a huge cast iron bath, damaged the stairs getting down. No skip till next week, couldn't get it into the back garden. Tried to organise council pick up - they wouldn't take it. Tried to organise a clearance company, couldn't get anyone till next week. Well, the skip's coming then anyway. Reluctantly I agreed to put it on the pavement and the neighbour tested it to see she could get her buggy past.
7am this morning, heard a very slight sound outside the window. A massive van was outside and someone was picking it up. I'm so relieved!
So, added to total 1 bathKeep reading books!
