1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Finished knitting the mittens & all sewn up.
DH fed the worms & filled the bird feeders. He also helped me make dinner (an HF meal) - sticky Hunters Chicken with potato gratin, tender stem broccoli & carrots 😋 Wudupa.
559 - 562 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass bottle, newspaper - recycled
563 - 564 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Excellent decluttering mhagster 👏 especially as it only took 45 minutes 😊
Florenceem this is the pattern I use. (I knit quite loosely so to make a slightly smaller mitten I only cast on 32 stitches & deduct 5 knit stitches & only knit 32 rows for the main section)

Pleased to hear that MrF managed to avoid the showers 🙂 Loved your DGD’s idea of Australian men 😂
London_1, how marvellous that your stairlift is going to a good home 😇 That is a long waiting list 😔
ilovetea, very pleased to hear that you have spent some time in the TLC Carriage 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏
The weather has been so changeable today - dark clouds, thunder, rain, occasional sunshine & blue skies and so cold 😔 Almost tempted to turn the heating back on

482 All photos downloaded and saved
483 Two viewings done - one quite good although DS2 pointed out issues like electrics and roof
484 Checked out box of late DH's pen drives (9) and one given to someone who needed one. Tried to see which were blank but only sorted 3 more when computer got upset and I had to stop. Still 3 in box which I know are empty. I might just smash the others and bin.

Hello fellow declutters. All the rubbish bins and recycling have been emptied plus I finally remembered to include the contents of my bedroom bin 🙄
I had a family funeral to go to yesterday and had the choice of 2 pairs of "nice" black shoes in my wardrobe. Seems I chose the wrong ones as they rubbed under my ankles 😖 so they are in a cs bag in disgust. Tomorrow I have my follow up hospital appointment to see if all the cancer has been cut away and if I need anymore treatment or not 🤞
Hugs to anyone struggling with anything and the poorly ones.

Good luck tomorrow Nannywindow.
The dyeing of the bed covers was a total fail as the colour didn't take and they came out all patchy. I was very annoyed as it takes so many uses of the washing machine to do that. my jumper came out okay and I'm wearing it today, in fact.
I have to deep clean my house as my brother's girlfriend is staying at our house with on Saturday night and she is allergic to pet fur. I have dusted and vacuumed today, but I have to do it again Saturday morning. We will have to mop the floors downstairs too. I finished off one library book today - The Five People You Meet in Heaven. It made me cry at one part, very good.
I have added some more to the donation bag while I was moving things around to dust. A garden lamp, a bottle of unopened essential oil and a pair of sunglasses in a case.
My husband is repainting a patch on our walls for the house valuation next week. We are repainting the decking on Friday, dropping off the donation bag, returning my library books and then hopefully seeing a film. I need to see what films are out.
It is bright and sunny here, but I keep feeling a chill. I just made a pot of green tea for myself.2025 GOALS

Decluttering hair and cash at 3, so wandering through to update totals for the last week.
1227-1228: 2 1kea stools (surplus to requirements) given to colleague
1229-1233: 2 bags of rubbish and 3 lots of recycling to the downstairs bins
1234: leaflets to recycling from communal hallway
1235-1249: 350 emails and 7 GB data deleted
1250- 1251: shredding
1252: vacuum jettisoned
1253-1338: rubbish and recycling herded to bags. (SO much packaging...)
And 6 30 minute sessions spent alphabetising LP's and CD's: this goes to the "deferred decisions and sorting old stuff" category making a new total of 102. (I keep that separate from the day to day stuff as that's a different issue)
Have booked a table top sale at the local church first weekend in May in the hope of passing on a few things.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Another 2 items added to the declutter total as 2 reams of material that weren't picked up on the local fabric share site have gone to textile recycling.Keep reading books!

MrsSD - thanks for the pattern link.
Nannywindow - hope tomorrow goes well.
We went round at 9 last night to SA to take in food delivery. I sorted donations while I was there.
I packed a trolley of stuff this morning - Mr F took it into town for the charity shop.
I went to SA for friendship/lunch club - my friend and I were cooking as our officers were away.
I sorted donations after lunch.
Got home and went straight out to visit a friend in the next door residential home - she has been diagnosed with Dementia - she is only 66.
Mr F was out when I got home - he had gone back to town to collect a parcel for me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
