Things seem to be progressing since the other day. I have booked a valuation for my house not this Monday, but next and I ordered paint to repaint the decking so we will do that one day this week.
I am seeing my brother and his girlfriend next weekend and a couple we know from London are coming too so I booked us all in at a cafe near the beach. I have ordered some fabric dye to dye my white bed covers as they are looking grey and washed out. We need to have a deep clean of the house before the estate agent comes round too!
We are going through a phase of watching classic films at the moment. Panic Room, Copland and The Blair Witch Project. Last night was Carlito's Way and Addams Family Values.
I am going to look around and see what else can go in the charity shop bag. I will catch up on my YouTube people today as well as quite a few of the people I follow always come out on a Sunday morning.

Floss said:@vulpix I agree with the suggestions for damp soil and would add lungwort (pulmonaria), iris iberica, bleeding heart (dicentra) and anemone & fritillary bulbs.
@bamboo_socks Yes, food banks will cleaning stuff 😉
@Brie you've prompted me to get my Scarpa hiking boots out to check them - I generally wear my Salomon mid boots and haven't done any "proper" hiking for a while....
OH always has sniffed dismissively at my choices as he claims Meindl are the only brand to buy. And yet my Salomons are lasting better so sniff to him!! Brie said:Love my Salomons. First pair I got were about £30 down from about £100 as it was the last pair in the shop. No one would buy them at full price as they were boy's boots and you don't normally pay £100 for a kid whose feet are still growing. I found that they were a size 6 and being boy's were wide which suited my square feet. Women's I have to go up to something like a 7.5 to get them wide enough and even then they cut too narrow in the toe. Wish I could buy the same ones again as they were like stepping into marshmallows which was lovely and had locking lace rings which made them much easier to tie up. Lasted about 10 years before I needed to replace them.

Sunday has started off as a nice sunny but rather chilly day - only 13C by 12:00 & only forecast to rise to 15C. I was up & dressed by 11:30 - wonders will never cease 😉 DH has just had a quick bath. DH & I are heading off on the bike soon - just a quick visit to see DH’s sister & his niece S. I will finally be able to drop off the knitted hat, scarf & mittens 😉 DH will drop me off & take the opportunity to go to Herne Bay for an RBR photo of the Amy Johnson statue.
daisy_1571, sorry for the delay in replying. I have pm’d 😊
Lovey post Floss 😊
TC77, I think Floss hit the nail on the head - “This is a positive thing - you've realised why the things you chose won't work in your home, and while that realisation has been after the purchase, it still happened. You are refining what you want in your home, and clarifying what & why you want it 😊” To misquote Neil Armstrong “That’s one small step for the Declutterati & one giant leap for TC77” …. Sorry I just couldn’t resist 😉
Wonderful cheerleading Floss 👏
Hope everyone has a lovely day 😊

Mrs_Salad_Dodger said:Wednesday2000, I am having trouble remembering the last episode of SYLO as well 😔 although I do remember watching it 🤔 Fortunately it is still on my planner so I think I will have to watch it again & hopefully be inspired to actually start some proper decluttering 🤞 “Aimless” is a good way to describe how I am feeling at the moment so I will join you in that ‘Club’ 😅 My DH has been planning & booking RBR trips for the two of us - Cornwall, Lincolnshire & Scotland but I am currently struggling to summon up any energy or enthusiasm 😔
I'm watching Iwan's (from SYLO) YouTube video at the moment and I have to go back and see if I did watch the final episode after that.2025 GOALS

Yesterday i actually started to make up my neighbours christmas cards from her old ones. Feeling quite pleased with myself that I have finally got around to it. She usually has them back by February! 🤣.
Anyway sorted and chucked 3 quarters of a bin bag of cuttings and bits and bobs. Its amazing how quickly it all adds up.
Started on the garden today. DH cut the grass and I started on the borders. Nothing thrown out but it looks better with a bit of reorganisation. Trying not to buy too much this year. Hoping to split plants and swap. Hopefully the cuttings, weeds etc that I composted last year are ready to spread on garden. I havnt checked yet. Its been lovely to be out in the sunshine. 😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Mrs SD , glad you couldn't resist and yes a giant leap for me. I forgot someone picked up 2 pieces of dolls furniture and someone has picked up a pack of DIY things that I've left on my garden wall. Bought a bag online to fit unde seat on a plane- very flimsy and smaller than allowed dimensions, decided to return as found sturdy back pack around same size which I was going to pass on, as it's got a logo on it.
Ordered a new passport wallet, mine dates from the old style and still going from the 1980s!18 -
Afternoon. A few more bits done. My favoured and closest CS was closed so left stuff in car to take tomorrow. Dropped ink cartridge at tip. Went and wandered round outside of another bungalow (empty) - neighbour came out for a chat. She said she loves the area and has been in her house 52 years - never seen a reason to move. Older bungalow but with medium flat garden which just needs tidying up - large garage with workshop and potting shed. Front all gravel but good size wide drive going right round the back. Elevated position with views over top of the area to fields beyond. Might ask about viewing inside.
