The scarves have been reviewed. 5 have been removed from the collection to let others shine….DSis has laid claim to 2.So many scarf aficionados in the Declutterati! The joy is scarves is manifold… the colours, the widths, the textures, they always fit, can lift any outfit and immediately make you look more together. My collection increased exponentially when I worked in a converted warehouse with many men who felt the need to have the windows open at all times. My pashmina style ones used to be called my ‘superhero capes’ and on especially ‘fresh’ days would be worn with an ‘indoor scarf’ Now I work with lots of touchy feely types and I enjoy the splash of colour they bring.@Brie take comfort, your collection is waiting patiently to be reunited with you I’m sure they’re missing you as much as you’re missing them.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Took advantage of my sister visiting and offloaded some of my excess indoor plants to her. I'm still working on the windowsills and surfaces, but it is already looking a lot better. I've kept my absolute favourites and since I am very short on time, it also means I will be able to look after the remaining ones properly. I also repotted a couple of plants whilst I was at it (probably need to do another one, but I need a different size pot for that).Really want to do more decluttering, but need to clear up some of the decluttering mess from DS's decluttering first. Am busy dealing with charity bags and Buy Nothing people at the moment, will put stuff away and then will see where I have got to. Also want to reprint some very faded photos, but need to carefully consider which ones I still want on view.I cleared my bedside table and can't believe how much more relaxing it feels! I have new lamps arriving tomorrow after a 10 year hunt for ones I actually like and am hoping they will look fab.1 - indoor plant pot (Buy Nothing)
3 - indoor plant (Buy Nothing)
6 - plants/plant pots (sister)
1 - packaging, reused
2 - food cupboard overstock used upNew total = 6,499Oh no, just added up that I'm tantalisingly close to 6,500.... I'd better find more to declutter later as I can't leave it at thatEdit: I was amused earlier when DS asked my sister not to bring him things each time she came as he "has too much stuff"!2025 decluttering: 3,235🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Made it by looking at my overflowing side in the bedroom due to the decluttered stuff hanging around! Buy Nothing people picking up tomorrow morning and I've filled another charity bag that will move to DH's room to drop off. Now just need to clear up a bit..1 - food cupboard oversupply (Buy Nothing)
1 - jumper I don’t like (charity bag)New total = 6,501I've added a photo of the smallest bit of the understairs cupboard. It's not perfect, but there is definitely lots of room now. Spare kids shoes I am saving for DD/DS new sizes are all along the right hand side, I have hooks on the left (I wanted the round ones as I know either me or the kids will impale ourselves on them otherwise) which have a hanging bag each for the kids accessories (hats, gloves, sunglasses etc) and the kids swimming bags etc and then I have my gym bag and DS's school bag on the floor. My gym bag is too big really and I am still on the hunt for a smaller one.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday was dry & bright but chilly & breezy. I did 2 loads LDFPA. Scarf is almost finished. Another HF meal made by DH & I - see pic (used hg rosemary 🙂) DSis wudupa 👏
470 - 472 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine - recycled

Monday has started off quite sunny with blue skies but only 13C. Up & dressed at 10:15 - early for me so a third load is in the wm - which I will hang out on the whirligig. Of course, just as I hung out the washing it clouded over & the sun has vanished behind dark grey clouds 😬
GrannyKate, sounds like you had a lovely Saturday 😊
Liverpool_Anne, not sure I would have had the patience 😉 You had a very busy Saturday 👏 That sweet potato soup sounds delicious 😋 How marvellous that you have a natural haven for frogs 🥳 Fingers crossed that they will enjoy the planned pond 🤞although it sounds like 40 years of no pond hasn’t stopped the frogs living in your garden 😉 Thank you for the lovely compliment 😊
vulpix, that sounds infinitely preferable to painting outdoors 😅 especially when the weather is so changeable 😊 Perhaps you could hide Fomo’s bed for a couple of days just to see if he misses it 😉 Well done on the weight loss 👏 & good luck with the next stage 🍀
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 I am sure I saw your “get up and go” with a packed bag heading off with mine to sunnier (& drier) climes 😂
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏 & congratulations on getting your first Gold Star ⭐️ of 2024 🥳
Another busy day Florenceem 👏 I do hope you can get some rest over the next few days 🤞The TLC Carriage is well stocked 😊
Excellent wardrobe decluttering Foofoopuppy 👏 Congratulations on the weight loss 😊 Another 2 weeks before your bin is emptied 😔 We are so lucky with our council as our wheelie bin is emptied every week 😮💨 apart from when there is a strike 😉 Pleased to hear that you are enjoying your weekend 😊
Excellent decluttering mhagster 👏 You are definitely on a roll 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏 What a lovely DIY friend 😊 hopefully you can arrange another visit & get the doors fixed 🤞Well done on your DIY 👏 DH & I always glance in the estate agent windows & cannot believe how expensive property is in Greenwich 😱
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 DS has definitely caught the ‘Decluttering Bug’. 🥳 Just wondering if he has been watching the minimalist videos with you as well as SYLO 😉 As he had such a successful decluttering session I am awarding him a medal 🏅 to go with his gold star 👏 Hopefully he will you get on with your decluttering today 🤞
~FlowerPot~ I love the spring border 😍 Your mention of rain prompts me to say that my washing is getting a second wash out on the whirligig 😔 Well done to your DD for decluttering some clothes 👏 Taking note of your comment, I am awarding her a medal 🏅 to encourage her to continue with the decluttering 😊
florianatwobob, I did smile at your comment “The sparrows have been most determined that the bed under the side hedge should be regrassed so have been ‘kindly’ sowing and fertilising seed. We are equally determined that bed will not be regrassed….” 😁 Good luck with your review of scarves 🍀
Liverpool_Anne, yesterday sounds like a relaxing day 😊 I hope your team won 🤞 Fingers crossed that OH will leave your freezer alone for a while & give you a chance to use up the current contents 🤞 Lovely cheerleading 😊
Moorviews, hope the weather improves so that you can get the rest of the washing dried outside 🤞After a couple of hours rain here the sun is back out again & there is a breeze, so I am hopeful that my washing will dry 🙏 Good luck decluttering your sewing project 🍀 Which reminds me that I repaired several pairs of knickers last night 🙂
Florenceem, fingers crossed that you can have a day indoors 🤞
Excellent decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Sorry to hear about DH’s sciatica & that your grandma is so poorly 😔 Sending get well wishes for both of them 😊
Loving the conversation about scarves between florianatwobob, Brie, vulpix, Happycas & TC77 😊
You are busy vulpix 👏 Shame about the cast iron chair 😔 but hopefully your stepson can sort it out 🤞
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & I imagine your sister is very pleased 😌 Good luck sorting out DS’s decluttering 🍀 I think we can safely say that DS is now a fully fledged member of our Declutterati Family - not only decluttering but also stopping more clutter coming in 🥳
Excellent decluttering elly68, 26/31 black bags is brilliant 👏
Well done on finding a couple of extra bits to declutter QueenJess 👏 Very tidy under-stairs cupboard 😊 Good luck with the hunt for a smaller gym bag 🍀
All caught up & it hasn’t rained anymore 🤞 Hope everyone is having a lovely day 😊 P.S. forgot to mention that DH bought me flowers on Friday 😊 - which are not only beautiful but the roses are actually scented 🥳
I watched an episode of Planet Earth III & was very taken with the following

Hi all 😘
Just a quick catch up. Decluttering as follows:
106 2 cleaned pickle jars
107 a pillow
108 2 pens
109 2 pencils
110 a ruined paintbrush
Ive Updated my signature for end of March, very impressed on the reading!Still not 💯 for me health wise and sleeping is all over the place so more blood tests and scans coming up. I firmly believe my NET team and dr don’t talk to each 🤬 so things seem to be repeated a lot and I am getting frustrated and angry and then worn out.
Anyway enough woe is me.
Enjoy the rest of bank holiday xxx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

100 posts behind! Well done everyone, and tea and cake for those who are taking some time out for any reason.
Popping on to say that, after being advertised as free to collect for months, someone has responded (and actually collected) a cupboard that has been sat empty in the lounge for 18 months. Hurrah!
DS appeared dressed in his PE joggers this morning. Being 7, he's not particularly fashion forward but I also think his wardrobe was so crammed he couldn't see much else to put on. I've removed an armload of stuff (more to list on V***ed 😩) and moved his uniform out of eye line.
I had been trying to eke out DD's winter wardrobe until I could get the summer stuff out (kindly handed down) but she was down to her last pair of leggings. It also turns out the stuff I'd bought for next winter (7-8) fits well enough (she's 4). At least the stuff I've decluttered from her wardrobe will be passed to the niece of the person who handed them down in the first place.
DP has done a sterling job of going through the outside storage and getting rid of stuff. Lots to take to the tip, possibly next weekend. I really need him to sort through a wardrobe full of clothes though.16
