Hi,
Floss, I like the sound of a green sequin cape. I am Autumn colouring so red doesn't look great with my olive skin.
Floriana, Congratulations on polishing off both your exam and your pudding with dessert gravy. In our house sponge fingers are now called funge spingers after my spoonerism.
Florenceem, you never stop. I am glad to hear that you keep Mr F on the go. He has made such massive progress after being so poorly last year.
Mrs SD , sorry to hear that your trip is off. You still need to go out somewhere just to ride in the car.
I had one of those sleep avoiding nights last night. Urgh. I am rubbish if I am tired. The plan is to go into Bakewell and have lunch then go to the jeweller to see about having a new wedding ring made. Mr V currently gone to get his haircut. I need to make the effort as I will not be going anywhere till next Tuesday as the area will be mobbed as the weather forecast is good. Parking spaces will be exchanging hands for folding money.Haha. I will say, if anyone is visiting locally, don't park on a grass verge as you will get a parking ticket.
I still need to go to my "good" chazzer with a box of stuff from My Mum's china cabinet, some was her Mum's. I am tempted to take out some lovely little ceramic shoes from the 1950's. I loved them as a little girl. Also forgot to take Mum's Easter egg yesterday,so that's on the list to call in there.
There is a garden bench on an old pvc tablecloth in the sitting room. It will need a good scrub before I paint it. It is very green down the legs. It is only 2 years since last painted. Things soon get weathered out in the garden. I suppose I should be maintaining outdoor stuff every year.
Happy Easter chums. Enjoy your cup of tea on Sunday London 1.

In a rush as I need to get to the gym, but I have made a little progress on the kitchen cupboards. I watched some minimalist video house tours and realised that I generally still have far too much stuff, but it makes sense to concentrate on the areas I dislike the most. At the moment that is the kitchen cupboards. For some of the worst offenders I counted the number of items in there and have an arbitary target to reduce them by half to see a big improvement. Hoping that counting them means that I can see tangible progress in numbers, even if I can't yet see it in space.Digital:

vulpix - I try to keep Mr F mobile plus stop him spending time in his office - maybe thinking about how he had to stop work suddenly.
Mr F took the trolley of stuff to the charity shop. I had the day in until nearly 6 o'clock. We went to Passover Meditation at SA but it was set up for a meal and we wanted prayer so we went to a local Church with another friend. We took bread at communion but not wine.
It is extremely windy here. Mr F got blown over coming out of the Church - just went back on his bottom. Then when we got home - he fell by our front door and hit his head - will have a bruise.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Has anyone considered giving some of the stuff you are taking to the charity shop to a local museum instead? Sometimes they are looking for items from more recent times to fill in their collection now, before they become real antiques and too expensive for their budgets. Several people I have worked with on their genealogies have given items to museums where their families used to live and the items were greatly appreciated. Sometimes places that are opening historic houses need small items also, besides furniture and art pieces. When it is hard to part with an item to the charity shop (that might throw it out instead), it would be better to find a home for it with a museum or even the drama department of a university or local dramatic society needing props. Several people on this site have had items snapped up by television studios looking for items as background material for television shows set in the 1920s to 1950s. When they were doing a restoration of the house from "The Brady Bunch" TV series here in America, they actually put out pictures of the items they were missing including things like toilet paper covers and facial tissue boxes that were needed to complete the scenes! Hope everyone has fun with their decluttering and using their imagination as to where to rehome the items.20

Hi all, another sorting out day yesterday so 2 sweatshirts into the new cs bag. I really dithered over these as although they are old they are very good quality thick cotton but they are just not right on me, need to lose some weight but I gave myself a talking to and they will be gone as soon as the cs is open again. I decided against doing a big shop as when I got to the sm it was heaving. The plan was to go to ald1 and then go on to mr T for things I couldn't get in ald1 but I couldn't cope with the sheer number of people so I got the basics, bread, milk etc and went home. Though I have to say hats off to the staff who were working very hard to keep the shelves stocked despite being over run by what appeared to be a cloud of locusts
. I spoke to dsis about the book and she said yes she would like it so that has been put to one side to be posted to her. When OH got home I explained about the shopping and OH asked if I had got potatoes, no I didn't know we needed them. Transpires OH was doing more batch cooking for the niece and shepherd's pie and lasagne were being made so all our potatoes would be used and all the tinned tomatoes
so I went back to the sm for them. So all in all another day when nothing left the house except money
. I did have 4 LDFPA so that is something
. The sun is out right now but more rain due so I might leave the washing until tomorrow which should be a better drying day. I did pick up a collapsible laundry basket for OH to use as the piles of clothes on the floor are annoying me. I have one I use but OH doesn't, we will see how it goes
. I have found out where the building noise is from, next door but one has scaffolding to
. They had a massive extention built a couple of years ago and then put the house on the market but it didn't sell, I think the asking price they wanted was too much as houses in this area are usually snapped up. No idea what they are having done now but I expect to have a rude awakening on Tuesday morning
@Vulpix those ceramic shoes sound cuteI hope the trip to the jewellers was successful
@QueenJess sounds like a plan, good luck with the kitchen cupboards
@Florenceem sorry to hear about Mr F having 2 fallls, I hope he's not too sore today, hugs
@weenancyinAmerica that sounds like a good idea but I have no idea how it would work, if anyone has done something like that I would love to hear about it
Right off for another cuppa and a ponder where to start today, hugs to anybody who would like one

Take care everyone

Having been cooped up for what seems ages I managed to get out today and the bonus is that it isn't raining, first day this week I think. We were going out yesterday but we had torrential rain and thunder all day. We've taken out some cash for the DGC for Easter (I had already bought their eggs ages ago) then went to the local shop for some bits and pieces. We decided that this year we were going to have Easter eggs too so we bought 3, one extra for Dad and they were on offer so it would have been rude not to buy them ! I'm now home after feeling a bit shaky and sick, felt like the first day out after Covid all over again 😕. I shall ensconce myself back in the TLC carriage and get a massage, and maybe later some afternoon tea !
This week I have given a very full sack of clothes to the cs, now I'll have to start another one as some of my clothes are uncomfortable after my op and I've lost weight despite eating like a horse in the TLC carriage 😂
Today I've used up 2 Easter cards from my stash just to put some money in. The DGC will have money and their Easter eggs when the come up as they've been on holiday this week and only just arrived home.
Sorry I'm pages behind and it's too much to read back. Hope everyone is ok, hugs a plenty if not. Congrats on those who have sold their houses, such an exciting time lies ahead.
Vulpix hope Mr V has his treatment sorted out 🤞
Daisy thanks for thinking of me.
MrsSD hope everyone is ok, oh and those worms 😁
Take care all
