So much going on with everyone. @daisy_1571 I understand the DVD thing, I've brought lots back from my dad's including many old european films that you don't get on streaming services and didn't want to get a system. I have a double set of drawers (think G plan side board) in my bedroom which I thought I had half emptied til I found the washing and other bits, and some drawers are the right size for DVDs and CDs( they vary in size) so that's an ambition to be able to move it.
Another warning story - hoping others learn from my mistakes. Wombled a microwave from a neighbour then realised not much better than mine so should make do or invest in a new one, and spent ages getting rid of it on the freesites. Picked up tonight but a total waste of time and effort.
@Brie I think it's you that's decluttered a room , well done.
And Mrs SD what a wonderful job of cheerleading us along.
4 drinking glasses wrapped and in CS bag but will count when taken to the CS.
I item returned and 1 posted off, and 2 hours moving a major frog along and mini frogs moved along, but as home at 8 new year resolution of eating well not progressing well!
Also deleted lots of photos from phone (seem to keep appearing) only counting as 1 so new total 19 but will hopefully drop CS bag off in lunch hour tomorrow.

Hi all, having slept for hours last night and had another doze on the couch I am now wide awake
A few things done, 2 LDFPA, bathroom bin and lr bin emptied, meds ordered and 2 items put into a bag for the cs but will not be counted until they are out of the house. Minor tidy around but ran out of energy. Had a discussion with OH about getting the freezer empty. I said no matter what we have for tea we have to have at least 1 thing from the freezer. OH planning to make some chicken chilli but I refused to get the chicken out of the freezer as I am not convinced OH actually has the energy to make it and I don't want it stuck in the fridge for 4 or 5 days. Also we need some ingredients so I will pick them up tomorrow. Some of the batch cooked chilli will go to OH's niece. OH also suggested lemon possit but I pointed out we don't have any of the ingredients so I would be shopping to make something that will fill the freezer so much as I love the lemon possit I have said no. When the freezer has been defrosted OH can cook away but not before
@Siebrie so sorry to hear about your friend, hugs
@Floss it's a dryrobe. I literally had puddles forming on my lap and still dry
Ok off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one, this train is supersonic at the moment so well done to everyone
11 + 12 LDFPA
13 bathroom bin
14 lr bin
15 meds ordered
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
The Bolognaise sauce was delicious but the giant conchiglie needed a couple more minutes as DSis is not a fan of ‘al dente’ pasta 😉 Wudupa.
8 - 10 Kitchen recycling, cardboard box, drinks cans - recycled
11 Kitchen detritus binned
Excellent work bamboo_socks 👏 Nothing wrong with filing away children’s artwork until you are in a less emotional state 🙂 Perhaps at that point you can make memory boxes for each child 🤔
QueenJess, ‘easing into decluttering’ sounds like a good song title 😉 Excellent work on both clothing & digital decluttering & already into the 60’s 👏 Like you I can’t be bothered to count decluttering TV programmes from the TV planner - just pleased that I have managed to get from 28% free space to 59% free space 😊
dND, what a great Tuesday & very MSE to spend barely anything in Mr’s H & B 👏 I am all in favour of giving single use plastic a 2nd life & one plastic card isn’t really clutter 😉 I thought the train was fast last year but we are definitely supersonic this year & only 3 days in 🤩
flamingo747, great news about the car passing its MOT 🥳 Well done to MrF, hopefully the broken down bed can be dropped off this weekend - creating oodles of space 😊
Muddy_Walker, sounds like she got out the wrong side of bed 😔 well done you for just waiting 🙂 Sorry to hear that one day at work seemed like a week 😬 So Wednesday was the 10th January - no wonder I am so far behind 🤣 Good decluttering 👏
Welcome back Siebrie, so lovely to see you 😊 Seems to a husband thing 😉 my DH is the same - I put his clothes away neatly & within a couple of days everything is messed up 😔 but I still love him dearly 🥰 Really sorry to hear that you still have no start date for the renovations 😔 I have everything crossed that your husband gets his ‘jacksie’ in gear & collects your wardrobe
A good start to your 2024 decluttering FlacosFloozie 👏
Brambling, surely if the server goes down it is not your problem & you should NOT have to make up the time 🤨 Excellent decluttering & tidying 👏 Setting a timer does seem to concentrate the mind wonderfully 😉 Good luck with the ‘financial housekeeping’ frog 🍀 - hopefully it will turn out to be a tadpole 🤞
EnergyShifter, pleased to hear that you managed a foray out of the TLC Carriage 😊 Great work dealing with tasks & yippee to your first ‘Out’ 👏
Welcome aboard the EDT BudgetingBelinda 👋 What a brilliant start to your Decluttering Campaign 🤩👏 5 bin bags in 2 days & then the cleaning + sorting 🥳 whilst putting your kids to bed 😊
ilovetea, 🫤 what is this “Will try & do better tomorrow” 🤔 You are already way ahead on your daily decluttering target 👏
Muddy_Walker, well said 😊
charlies_tribe, well done on making the most of the last couple of days of the festive period 😊 All too soon the chaos of school runs 😉 Excellent digital decluttering- already 5% towards your target 👏
Of course you can rejoin shabbychic12 😊 Nice to see you back 👋 The train was travelling so fast last year that I am not at all surprised that you couldn’t get back on 😥 However you are now safely ensconced on the 2024 EDT & ready to restart your Decluttering journey 😊
vulpix, sorry to hear that your ‘lurgy’ is laying you low 😔 I am sending lots of get well soon wishes 😊 & an instruction to stay in the TlC Carriage for as long as required 🙏 Sounds like an interesting family story 😉 An earthquake 😯
That is so funny short_bird 😅 More excellent decluttering 👏
DundeeDoll, definitely a great start to 2024 👏
Just noticed the time so I will post this & go to bed 😉

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - going to bed at 5am 🤣
Hope all the people suffering with the lurgy are feeling better soon!
Had an in yesterday of a new to me running top via Vinted but this meant I sorted out my drawer that has my workout clothes and pyjamas. There's now a pile of things to go to the charity shop which are just surplus to requirements. Will count them up when I drop them off after the weekend. Morning all. I definitely think this is the end of the cold. I have 5 days to myself from tomorrow afternoon so will hopefully get things done. Some very positive news for DS2 last night following a year long legal and ex work related problem. All fingers and toes crossed that he may get some of his money owed. Car needed new brakes and soon needs tyres so money would be nice.

TC77 I've taken 14 inches of dvd cases down to just over 4 inches when they are stored in envelopes. 500 envelopes off big river was £23 but I figured it was worth it.
I've got a list of title, region, category and envelope number. I can search it depending which tv I'm using (some of our tv or dvd player only plays some region, other will play all region) and also whether I'm looking for half hour show, musical, b/w, comedy etc depending on my mood. I thought about dividing the dvds up but then it gets into a whole thing about alphabets and shuffling things around if you buy a new one etc etc so they are all just getting a number and the list is the way to find what I want.
See how my brain works lol, no wonder it takes me a long time to get round to things

Hi there, can I join too please.
Moved house 18 months ago and there is still so much junk in boxes, the place is a mess and I am becoming a master-procrastinator. I'm sure being part of this forum is the kick I need to get things done!
I'm also going for the target of 2024 things18
