Sorry to read about your sister MrsSD.
Happy Birthday Queen Jess.
It is pouring with rain here and I have to go out today.13 -
Oh Mrs SD, what a shock. Like others have said, you have other priorities higher than cheerleading. I do hope your DSis recovers soon.
Happy Birthday @QueenJess

happy birthday QueenJess ~ as for doing nothing all day, I cant imagine for a minute you would be able to do that. BUt I do hope you have a lovely day with some cake (and dont do so much decluttering!!)MRS SD~ sorry to hear DSis is still in hospital, but she clearly needed help. I do hope they can find her a proper space on a ward if she still needs it, or that she is well enough to come home today. Very stressful for you both. Its filthy wet and rainy outside, which I guessing is what is falling as snow right up north. ! I dont have much planned for today, but do need to get my accounts done and Ive decided to put a book on my list og things to do. I love reading but dont read much as when I get really into a book, its all i do and I will stay up reading all night and I just cant cope with that!!. im hoping this book will be good, but not that good haha! Its also one of my sisters. When she died she expressly said I should have any books I wanted. She could have opened a spiritual book library, she had SO many books. I must have bought baout 300 back here, lots on my healing modality and loads and loads of others which I have been skimming through and trying to reduce the amount. I just dont have enough space/ bookcases/ space for a bookcase! Anyway I think most of what I have now will be staying (even if they are stacked up on the floor!)Going back to the drain job, blasted dogster went out and found the disgusting muddy mess around the drain. Ehich I clearly didnt clear up well enough and walked all through it and must have been licking it eewww!!! So he had a bath and I cordoned off the area. So I need to hose it down and dig it over ~ but not whilst it is raining.♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Happy belated birthday @London_1 !Happy birthday @QueenJess !Hugs to @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, husband and sister.@QueenJess "DS also has so much stuff that you have to be continously on it. Despite going through his paper container a week ago, it is out of control again. Most of it is spare paper to use (so I might move it to the craft drawers), but there are also loads of activities/colouring which should be finished. I will be trying to encourage DS to actually do them and won't be getting any more of the craft stash out for them to do until he's got that down."I always thought these drawings and quite a few of the activities were just to train their fine motor skills; I never insisted on dds finishing them. It takes quite a bit of the pressure away. Once they find a drawing or activity they enjoy, they will make sure to finish them themselves.

Morning all - no decluttering to report yet today but hugs where needed and happy birthdays to some. I have to go to Sheffield this evening unexpectedly - currently snowing there. Very wet sleet here. I will see what the day brings. Off to do some frogs and try not to keep watching the weather out of the window.2025 Decluttering Campaign 463/2025 🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟

I’m not going to get new colouring things out all the time from my secret craft stash for them without him working through the existing stuff as well.2025 decluttering: 1,294🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🏅🌟🏅

True. Maybe make him select a few he really wants to do, and regift the others? 'Make another child happy'?

Thankyou for your solid support @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
If you haven' t revealed the song yet I am going to suggest Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel..
Glad DSis is ok. I hope she is out of hospital soon.
Hi @TC77 I leant to type at college. When computers came in at work I was one of the few who could use one but the typing course helped. I did have a pre war typewriter years ago but gave it away.
Glad you are ok @weenancyinAmerica
Hope you feel better soon @Liverpool_Anne. Big Hugs
So a rubbish day yesterday. I had usual GS2 all day and GS3 for about 3 hours. DD was happily around to help. Also did 3 loads of washing and more to go for Fiance of DS3 as their machine has broken and can't be looked at by the council unti the 10th. Theyd do 3 loads most days. Went to bed as soon as I got in at 7pm.
Resting this morning but BiL and SiL coming to sort out finances this afternoon. At least I can stay in the house. BiL mental age is about 9 and at the moment a mild case of dementia, SiL about 13. Its is always hard work communicating. BiL takes charge of the finaces as SiL has no care about bills and debt. He is easily persuaded to let door to door sales people in. So there is chaos on a regular basis. BiL has agreed that one of us being power of attorney for financial and health witll be a good idea.
Anyway. No declutttering today I think.

Thank you very much for Mr V's gold star, I really wouldn't be able to do what i do without him. I hope your sister is able to come home today, there is nothing like being in your own bed. Get well wishes to her.
Happy Birthday Queen Jess, have a lovely day. xx. You share your birthday with my eldest daughter.

Get well wishes to DP Liverpool Anne.
bit by bit, I want you to make a date for a complete get away, switch your phone off and relax. You are always welcome here, with company or we could make ourselves scarce. You HAVE to make your health a priority. What do they say,put your own life jacket on before helping others.xxx
We have plenty of snow and the sky is full of it. Not unusual for us so more or less carry on as usual, but slower. Mr V has been for his haircut and has now gone to my Mum's house to get something that someone is coming here to collect later. I found a box of saute leek in the freezer yesterday whilst having a tidy up. I think leek and potato soup is on the cards shortly. Just right for a snowy day.
