Last of the Christmas tea towels tossed into the bag with wrapping paper so I don't have to look at them again for several months. Excess stuff bought for kitchen refit (light fixtures & cutlery tray) are into car for return to the shop. And big shop box will be going to the FB with me tomorrow so they can chuck it at Sainsburys or whomever next is delivering to them. Otherwise it would go to the tip which would be wasteful.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hope DSis is doing better tonight MrsSD
+1 Council tax frog dealt with.
I really need to get rid of a pile of toys but I keep thinking I should save for a car boot sale and try to get rid whilst making money! They don't start here for another month. I also need to do my cupboard lino (which I got for free from FB!), and purge my craft drawers.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Goodness Mrs SD what a scary time you have all had. Hope your dsis is better soon and glad to hear that the Dr is taking the situation seriously. Some 💐 for you all (I love the pretty flower that Mr SD got for you).
Today was a stay-at-home day, so to keep both ds and myself occupied we cleared and cleaned the cupboard under the stairs. Looks a lot better because it has been getting in a right state over the past 6 months. I need to source a box for my 'overflow extras' like pasta/rice etc for my bottom shelf but apart from that it is tidied again!
Eldest dd has had a tough day at school and has been in tears since I picked her up and doesn't want to go back. She didn't even want her dinner.
Ds and I will have another day at home tomorrow because he seems to be coming down with a cold and had a temperature this afternoon. It will also be handy in case I need to collect eldest dd from school.

What a day, MrsSD, and here’s hoping DSis will soon be home and things get back on to an even keel.Love the red car. Red cars are not really a French thing- along with scones, which they don’t do at all. DH is still clumping around with the boot on his foot .I’ve got a new system for my decluttering, ( yes, yet another one), I have a bag behind the en suite door and I pop things in there directly and then I’ll take the full bag to the CS. Well, plenty of room in there still so I’ll report totals asap.
Dampish, mildish here. We see the consultant tomorrow so hoping the foot has started to heal . Happened 5thNov, but age is the problem. He’s 79 next month.Nighty-night, declutterati chums and hugs for everyone.16 -
@London_1 Happy birthday - I hope you had a good day. It's mine tomorrow and I'm genuinely considering doing absolutely nothing all day for a change!@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Gosh - that is scary. I love the NHS, but 111 can be very hit and miss at times. Hope DSis gets better soon.I tried to tackle the coat situation earlier and pulled it all out of the cupboard. Still feel stressed about it and only 2 coats are leaving the house, but at least it's a bit tidier in there. I definitely have at least 1 too many, but just find decisions too hard on this stuff when I have to guess what DD may want in 6 months time (she's 2, nearly 3, so things vary day to day!). I've been on the lookoiut for stuff everywhere I go in the house today and whilst dinner was cooking, I opened some of the drawers and finally convinced DH to get rid of a utensil that just sits there and we never use. I think I've been asking on and off for about 2-3 years now...Also put a few bits away in DS's room and couldn't fit it in the container, so got him to curtail some of it until it fit.I can't help but feel that although the house is relatively under control, there is still loads of extra stuff we just don't need as I shouldn't be able to find more than 10 things a day to get rid of quite so easily. The kids clothes I find stressful to manage due to stuff stored from DS - most of which DD wears, but we already had too much anyway. We also seem to have too many kids games (all from my childhood dumped on us by my parents), plus a few were presents from friends etc and some picked up from Buy Nothing. I am seriously considering leaving 5 in the cupboard and packing the others away in the loft for rotation. At least they will then all get played and we'll soon figure out which ones we like more than others. DS also has so much stuff that you have to be continously on it. Despite going through his paper container a week ago, it is out of control again. Most of it is spare paper to use (so I might move it to the craft drawers), but there are also loads of activities/colouring which should be finished. I will be trying to encourage DS to actually do them and won't be getting any more of the craft stash out for them to do until he's got that down.Tidying I am very slowly catching up on by doing a small amount each day, but will take me ages to catch up. Am hoping having less stuff to deal with everyday will help me win a bit quicker as having a tidy house was the end game for this year.Physical:New total = 2,891

Well off to the Land of Nod after a smashing day with lots of lovely messages and cards from folk.Had a terrific meal at DDs, and another bags of presents, one of which was an electric diffuser which is gorgeous. plus a chocolate cake with a candle in for pudding
Youngest DD is coming in the morning to 'dress' my house (she is an estate agent after all ,although not mine) as the photographer is coming to do the photos and video so its going to look really smart as apparently most folk like to see a video before they come to view. She spoke to the agent today and apparently they are increasing the asking price of my house since they first viewed it a fortnight ago so hopefully it will get some decent offers. As tesco says 'every little helps '
Night, Night, God bless all here

OMG I had a few days away last week and back to a busy week and I'm now 28 pages behind on this thread! I'm never going to manage to read them so I've moved to the end and I'm really sorry if I've missed posts and events for others. I'll try and keep on top of the thread!
I've been plugging on with decluttering, only bits and pieces that I haven't counted. OH is doing a great job of sorting late Dad's workshop so we're going in the right direction.Piglet
