I bagged up some things I turfed out of my wardrobe & dropped them off at a chazzer today. Haven't uploaded the Vinted things yet, but did sell one that's been on a while so that has now left the building.
I'm off out to Liverpool for tea & a gig this evening, but am planning another swift expulsion of items while waiting for my hair colour to "cook" 😊2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Friday up very late to a clear blue sky & sunshine 😊 The only reply from anyone about the garage door was a ‘no’ but at least they had the courtesy to reply 😉 DH finally got a reply from one company & someone will contact him in the next 48 hours 🤞Now to concentrate on the cheerleading 😉
weenancy, you are an absolute marvel 🤩 With all the work you have done investigating various family trees, you will soon have to do a Grand European Tour 😉 I hope you are being very good & staying indoors as the storms sound horrendous 😧 Hopefully the phone company have managed to fix your landline well enough to stand up to the next round of storms 🤞🙏 Sorry to hear that you might to have to go to the expense of both a cellphone & new handsets 😔 Sounds like the book sale went well & your customers will get used to the indoors location over the next couple of months 🤞Please take care when moving & sorting books 🙏 - you are not 25 anymore 😉 You have been working hard so please take time to rest 😊 The kitchen decluttering seems to be going very well 👏 Are you still getting help from roommate G or has he got bored & moved onto something else? I see that you are still the only one well enough to drive your roommates to doctor’s appointments 😔 You do so much & I have been remiss so I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ & sending lots of cwtches 🤗 Please, please take care 🙏
Sorry to hear about the sleepless night London_1 😔 I put it down to the excitement of your long planned for move to the IofW & the new car that you are collecting today 😉 You have so much to think about that your brain probably finds it difficult to switch to ‘sleep mode’ 😊 Your grandsons sound like wonderful young men - talented & active 😊 A credit to their parents & you 🥹 The decorator is doing a fine job, not only with the decorating but also the decluttering 😉 Pleased to hear that DD is getting plenty of viewings & that your house will be on the market in the next couple of weeks 🥳
Great photo mehefin 🙂 & I see a Hello Fresh box managed to sneak in 😂
flamingo747, you never know your Mum ‘might’ keep the bread maker 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, an interesting conversation you have started about the effects of the full moon & high winds, on children 🧐 Maybe they are all werewolves 😂 Excellent decluttering & sorting in the kitchen 👏 sounds like you are making great progress 😊 Now you just need to persuade OH to sort his couch out 😉 A great idea re shelling the XMas nuts - currently ours are being used as treats for the squirrels 😉 You should see how excited they get when we throw them a walnut 🤣 Thanks for the great cheerleading 👏 I especially liked the reply to Siebrie which means I now have a certain nursery rhyme running around in my head 😂
Good luck with sorting the kitchen cupboards ilovetea 🍀
tibawo, enjoying the conversation about full moon & high winds & their effect on children 😉 Teachers have an even tougher time than I thought 😱
Mrs_Money_Penny, your poor cats 😔 Excellent digital decluttering 👏 Your numbers are quite large (1153) so I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Keep up the good work 😊
daisy_1571, so not just children affected by the full moon & high winds on a Friday or Saturday night 😱 Sounds like a recipe for mayhem 😔
My concentration is split as I have emptied a shelf in my larder & really want to sort it out so should strike whilst the iron is hot 😉 So I will post this & come back later 👋

An interesting little article on hoarding.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-68091271
I see a lot of the reasons I found things hard to get rid of mentioned but thankfully I've not got to the extremes that some people do. The bit touching on the 'just bin it' way of intervention really resonated. It's something that I've been shamed into before, (by ex), and it effected me deeply.
Thankfully, I've begun to understand myself more - I have quite a lot of mild neurodivergent tendencies it turns out which I'm actually grateful for and now that I've identified them I have and will be working through things at my pace and my desire. Turns out I'm not a unique weirdo, I think I'm actually one of the majority. 🤣🤣Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Very interesting @dND I remember working at the council when they did a forced clearance on man whose hoarding had started to include bodily waste and it was affecting the neighbours. He was severely depressed and a carer for his disabled and incontinent wife. I think they took about 3 tons of stuff. As to the neurodivergence, I'm in the process of adhd assessment and I definitely struggle to let go, especially of the things my Fantasy Self wants to get done.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Good evening. Thank you for tge medal Mrs SD. I've been reading along while one the bus, in the car etc but have now completely forgot what I was going to say. It was strange reading the recent comments about Chesterfield though while I was sat outside the crooked spire with ds1 waiting for a bus home (the first didn't arrive).
DH had filled in his UC bits and now we have to be very strict until March. We have a meeting with them this week and it caused me a panic attack as I have none of the listed ID. I looked at doing an urgent citizen card but I don't actually have friends or anyone to be a reference 😪 I'll message them tomorrow but trying not to think about it at the minute.
We have been busy here going through boxes tge last few days and have lots ready to go but not counting it until it has actually left. Today's job was sorting the books I've taken off the bookshelf into piles of similar/sets ready to list, just waiting for DH to get up as I know there are more to go. The table is starting to get a bit covered with them although nowhere near all those boxes that were posted. They'll add to my numbers nicely once gone though.
Well I better go and put tea out as some children are complaining 🤣LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

I'm also no longer around 30 as my brain likes to think whenever I set out to do anything - it totally ignores the fact that I'm a pensioner, nearly 70!Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

So a bit of family news to start off 🙂 DH’s youngest niece G (the one who had the aneurysm last year) & her husband have put a deposit down on a 60’ Canal boat 😊 They have been talking about it for years & now that all 3 kids are fully settled with kids of their own, they have taken the plunge 👏 The boat is beautiful inside & out 😍 Back to the more mundane - the one shelf has turned into a marathon session 😉 So far 3 of 4 shelves have been emptied & cleaned with 2 restocked & rearranged far more neatly & both with space to add more items 🙂 Which leads onto me moving food stocks from the lr wall unit back into their rightful place in the kitchen 🥳 Sadly this has resulted in a fair amount being binned - sort of ………. My luck ran out with flour - I found mites in 2 x 1.5kg bags of bread flour although the good news is that this has been donated to DH for worm food, together with well ood porridge oats & 2 boxes of Ready Brek. DH will be busy in the garage tomorrow🤞The birds won’t be missing out either - 6 pouches of ood microwaveable rice + about 150g of Basmati that has been in the cupboard for at least 5 years 😔 I have also condensed a couple of pots/jars of herbs & spices. DH is rewarding my industry by ordering in - curries for us & Chines for DSis 🥳 DH meanwhile recycled a couple of cardboard boxes from his office 🙂
156 - 161 Cardboard packaging, 2 cardboard boxes, plastic pots, large glass jar, lidless takeaway container - recycled
162 - 163 Food for birds & worms; non recyclable packaging binned.
Thank you my fellow declutterati for inspiring me to ‘get on with it’ 👏😂 Now I have had a little rest & a drink I am returning to the fray 😉
