Ladybird, I was at secondary school when my ear infections started. I remember it being painful, but there was masses of discharge - it was painful and embarrassing ☹️I remember pain, but i don't recall having much treatment - the Dr tried to prescribe oral anti-b's but I was no good at taking pills. In the end it was liquid anti-b's that cleared it up. And yet the ENT dept are saying that anti-b's are no good for DH - even though he has (prescribed by others) gone through 2 courses. That makes the ENT Drs 'right' I guess.
Well, I've been super lucky with the weather. I started washing (did the whites wash and then found another white top..... 🙄), and checked the weather, and the forecast had changed again. So I stuck the whites out on the line and put a 'general clothes' wash on whilst i went shopping. I've just pegged out the clothes now, and in theory - I stress it's theory - there is a window of between 1 and 3 hrs rain free. I'll take any of that, as the breeze is quite strong, and the clothes might come in dried somewhat, which will reduce the time they need to be in front of the dehu, or if needs must in the tumble drier at the launderette. Launderette visit is less likely, as I won't really have time, but I have it as an option.
I went to MrS and MrL to shop. I spent £33.20 in total. Eggs had gone up 20p ☹️I did buy one or two bits for the hols - cuppa soups and porridge pots, but I know I've bust my grocery budget. I only got some cheese and onion rolls YS'd (only 20%), and one or two bits on n*ctar price.
Right, must amend siggie figgie and crack on. Ta for being here.

Aw, thank peb - everyone's support has been wonderful. Added to which, DH's HR dept has been helpful and supportive, so he's up to date with what he needs to do for his employers - or it's in train - so that's a positive.
Well, I ended up being super lucky with the weather. The rain arrived about half an hour earlier than the computer said it would, however, I had set up the dehu, and went outside to gather up the lighter weight/drier stuff, and it was just starting an ever so light mizzle, so I just grabbed everything up off the line and took it inside all together. A couple of sweat tops were still quite damp, but they weren't out that long, and are heavier weight fabrics, but they will be needed for half-term, so I've got them washed, and we'll see what the dehu can do. I was delighted with the other clothes. No, of course they weren't bone-dry, but given they weren't out that long, they had dried - well over 50% I'd guess - in the really strong breeze. That to me is a win, because it's takes the load off the dehu. It's currently on for 2 hrs, which will mean I can move everything out of LG's room before the school run. LG's room is the smallest, so the dehu is working on taking the moisture out of the clothes, rather than de-humidifying the room, which happens all the time when we set it up in our Grand Dining Hall No.3......... 😉🤭
I definitely got a bonus 'free line dry' today, which I wasn't expecting at all.
Lunch was soup (sorry, my record player has developed a fault...... 😉). It was yesterday's curried pumpkin soup, warmed through and then I put a tin of baked beans in it and blitzed it, and then added chopped coriander and a small punnet of cooked brown rice (defrosted from the freezer). It completely transformed yesterday's thin, 'ok-ish' soup into a proper, thick, tasty soup, which was enjoyable to eat. Plus everything was eaten - it made enough for 2 portions again - and I've used up leftovers from the freezer. MSE to the core! 🤣
