Hello,
I have read the ***NEWBIES!!! thread.

The story:
-appointment on Saturday morning at Jobcentre, supposed to be only 5 minutes
-only place to park in the area is a paid private car park with some sings around it, no visible paypoint or cameras (picture attached from google)
-decided to stop there, one person stayed in the car the whole time in case need moving; car park was 95% empty
-appointment went on for longer due to technical difficulties of Jobcentre
-stay was 53min total as per NTK

NTK arrived quickly.
-tried the Plan A (driver wasn't identified), apologised and offered to pay the double of actual parking fee, no help.

We would try and appeal, using Plan B template, adding a line that since the NTK is not PoFA compliant, the keeper cannot be held liable. We wouldn't identify driver.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Countrywide's NTK is already featured in the NTK Images thread I started recently.  It says whether each one is POFA or not.

We would try and appeal, using Plan B template, adding a line that since the NTK is not PoFA compliant, the keeper cannot be held liable. We wouldn't identify driver.
    Nope.

IGNORE IT ALL, AND £170 DEMANDS.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am sorry for wasting your time, and being a bit dumb here, need to make sure:

Does this mean that literally we should NOT do anything, just ignore this letter? We already emailed them quoting the CPM number, however driver wasn't identified.

It's a horrible car park and a shock that there is no way to pay unless you have a smart phone with the app.

I actually asked about this at the jobcentre when I had to go last year and was told that instead I should park at the Asda and walk over from there.  I'm sure Asda just loves that DWP is advising people to use their parking for non shopping stays!!!  The woman at the jobcentre was even less helpful when I pointed out that given appointments could be delayed significantly, tend to be about an hour and I am not very mobile I'd likely exceed the parking at Asda given that it would take me at least 20 minutes each way.  Implication was it was my own fault for having to apply for JSA after being made redundant!!!
    Yes exactly my thoughts!

Who, exactly, did you contact and "offer to pay double the parking fee" as part of your Plan A? Surely not Countrywide Parking Management?

Plan A is a complaint from the keeper to the landowner and the keeper's MP.

Plan B is an appeal from the keeper to the PPC.

Where the PPC is an IPC member, there is no Plan C worth trying.

Yes, their local office...on their general info email account, not the one for appeals...

Oh dear... Are you sure CPM are the landowners? I seriously doubt it. What exactly did you say to them? Did you admit liability?

Is that because if the PPC is an IPC member its a lost case?
