My boiler started leaking from a pipe so I had all that stress and worry about extra cost. However I tightened up the joint and it hasn’t leaked overnight so it could be ok. I really hope so. I’ve had a big bill with getting the heating fixed recently and really don’t want any more house bills.
5 days until I get paid. I’m waiting! Hardly spending any money. Still keeps record of everything I spend.0 bonus saver

Hi @itsthelittlethings, sounds like you're doing well with day to day spending and budgeting! It really does make a huge difference when you're keeping on top of it.1

Thanks @FacelessNumber yes I’m doing ok I just wish I could get rid of the payday cycle of boom and bust. At least I’m just about living within my means.
Roll on payday. It’s going to be a quiet weekend but I don’t mind that. I might go for a swim or an exercise class. Looking forward to the Easter long weekend. I emailed about making AVCs for my pension yesterday.0 bonus saver

Have sorted out all my payday payments which are due. I need to adjust my weekly spending allowance to take account of the fact that a month is more than four weeks. I will have to put it down a bit to stay within budget. Things get a bit tight at the end of the month.
I have been keeping a record of everything I spend for a bit over 2 weeks now. It’s a useful exercise and is very starting to show some patterns. I think I’ll spend some time looking through it to see where I would like to make changes.
I am definitely starting to feel calmer about money and more in control. I wish I’d started all this years ago but you can only start from where you are.

I’ve paid for the next big chunk of my veg box up until December starting in May. I feel good about it because it’s the first thing, maybe ever, that I’ve saved up for instead of desperately juggling money to pay for something big. I used a roundup pot but also made PADs of varying sizes until I got there. I’m going to use the same tactics now to save up for a new washing machine. I want an extra quiet one as I live in a studio flat.
Since payday I’ve bought two cinema tickets, coffee and nuts and a lottery ticket. I bought me and my friend cinema tickets but told him he can buy coffee beforehand. It’s nice being able to do stuff like that.
Meeting a friend for coffee this morning but a fairly quiet weekend apart from that and the cinema. I might cook a roast on Monday if I feel like it. I’m eating out of my freezer for rotation and money purposes at the moment so I’ll just do a small shop some time over the weekend for essentials.
My regular saver is finished so I’m just waiting for the interest and then I’ll move it and then open up another one after next pay day.0 bonus saver

Aiming for a no spend day today. Going to try and get out for a walk otherwise it’s housework and tv for me. I’ve seeen a job for more money but less hours. It works out as less money than I’m on now but I might apply because it’s a good chance for a promotion and I’d love to do less hours for a bit. Something to think about.0 bonus saver

Have spent the weekend watching films and relaxing. You can rent films on my tv so I’ve seen three that way.
I really enjoyed the cinema yesterday. We ended up going out for lunch afterwards which was also lovely but I had to pay for it from my food budget as there wasn’t enough left in weekly spends. I had been thinking of doing a roast today but decided not to to save the money.
Bought a coffee this morning and baked brownies this afternoon. I was going to take them into work but they’re a bit too gooey so I don’t think I can. I’ll be eating brownies all week. Went for a nice walk this afternoon. I’ve downloaded an app to keep track of my walks. Now watching Masterchef. I’ll be in bed early.0 bonus saver

Managed a no spend day (apart from food which is how I count my no spend days) yesterday. If I could manage the same today and tomorrow that would be great. I’m still eating up freezer food, I had a nice gnocchi bake last night and have half left for tonight. I think I’ve got about a week or so more of freezer food then I’ll need to do a big shop.
I just got woken up by torrential rain but it’s eased off now so hopefully I won’t get too wet on the way to work. Also my neighbour’s door slamming, I think it sticks but it’s a bit awkward to say something to her.
I’ve found a three part knitting workshop for the autumn which I might book at the weekend. It costs £50 for 9 hours total which isn’t too bad although there’ll be 3 x train fares to get there as it’s not completely local.
I need to get my niece’s birthday present. I’ve got her a book but I want to get her something else too. It’ll have to wait until next week!0 bonus saver
