  • I’ve got £15 left until Friday which will keep me in coffees (still not managing to cut down on coffee and cakes enough but I guess I just have to give up other spending for it). I don’t have anything else to buy except some postage tomorrow.

Meeting a friend for coffee after work on Friday and a friend for coffee and cake on Sunday (it’s my turn to pay) which I’m looking forward to.

I’m working on a knitting project which is keeping me busy. Although the wool was fairly pricey there are a lot of enjoyment hours out of it!

  • Ooh yes definitely, I can spend a fortune on wool for crochet but I think of it as paying for the enjoyment of it as well as the finished item. Also very satisfying, and I'm not super fast as I don't have much free time so each project lasts me a long time!

Coffee is also a weak point for me, but I think budgeting it in is better than trying to never buy it and then inevitably failing.
  • I need to cut up my old credit card. I keep sticking stuff on it. I pay it off of course but it’s the same old cycle and means I have less from my regular saver than I wanted.

  • I need to fill out my spending spreadsheet today. I bought some eye wateringly expensive shampoo and conditioner from a beauty website. It hasn’t arrived yet so I did buy some of Superdrug’s premium brand or whatever it is but at a first wash I don’t think it’s as good as the sample of the other stuff I got.

Today’s win - I had frozen croissant in the freezer so I’m not going out to buy breakfast. I don’t feel like my normal breakfast of yoghurt today.

I might delete the Vinted app for a bit.

  • Up early and watching the elections. They’re all as bad as each other. Apart from the Monster Raving Looney Party.

Back to work today. I’m still waiting for my regular saver to mature. Grr. It’s a new week anyway.

  • Todays win - paid off my credit card bill so it’s not hanging over my head and I don’t pay any interest.
