I can't believe we're already in June! Where is the time going? I also realised I didn't do a May update (but I blame the fact that we were about to go on holiday  :D

Anyway, my list currently stands at:
    1. Answer 24 journal prompts of self-discovery and awareness - 0/24 - I really need to stop making excuses and make a start on this one!
    2. Build 24 Lego sets - 2/24
    3. Complete 24 hobbies - 1/24 - Finally managed to finish a cross stitch that's gone on way to long! I've also gone for an eye test as I've been struggling to see it so hoping this will increase with my new glasses!
    4. Complete 24 things off master to-do list - 1/24
    5. Deep Clean / Declutter 24 areas around the house - 1/24
    6. Do 24 things with family and friends - 12/24
    7. 24 Donations to charity - 21/24 - Loads of stuff to the charity shop as we slowly start clearing stuff!
    8. Enter 24 competitions per day on average per month - 5 months done with another fab win in April to see Abba Voyage with my teenager who loved it.
    9. Get rid of 24 items from loft / Garage - 0/24
    10. Go for 24 walks or bike rides over 30 mins - 9/24 - Managed loads of these whilst we were away so very pleased this one is finally moving!
    11. Have 24 fun family adventures - 4/24
    12. Have 24 no tech evenings - 17/24 - Again, lots of these whilst we were away and I found I didn't miss the tech, so really need to do this regularly now everything's back to normal.
    13. Learn or do 24 new things - 15/24 - Lots of these completed during our break which was fab
    14. Learn and use 24 new words - 0/24 - Again, stuck with this one! Learning them isn't the issue, it's using them I'm finding challenging - Anyone got any tips for this?
    15. Lose 24lbs - 0/24 - I've made a start on this and have lost 11lbs so far, however I'm not counting just yet as I've put that on since the beginning of the year so am counting from my Jan weight!
    16. Play 24 board games - 2/24
    17. Practice 24 mins of mindfulness each week - 22/52 - On track with this one
    18. Read 24 Books - 21/24 - Nailing this one!
    19. Save £2024 over the year - £966.92/£2024 - Hoping to make headway on this, this month so make sure I don't fall behind
    20. Sell 24 things on ebay / booty sites - 1/24
    21. Spend 24 mins each week organising photos - 18/52 - Fallen a little behind on this one, so will make up the time this month
    22. Treat / do something for myself 24 times - 5/24
    23. Try 24 new recipes - 3/24 - Stuck with this, so am planning on adding it in to the meal planning process.
    24. Watch 24 new to me films / documentaries / TV shows - 16/24 - On track with this one
    How's everyone else getting along?

really interesting list tinkerbelluk - do feel free to share piccies of the lego! i'm hoping to make a burst on the CS donations July when I'm taking a week off and staying at home. September I'm on holiday in Venice for a week so will certainly be able to add some bridges (memories of Merchant of Venice and the Rialto) and churches. My next named food is a nice chunk of Red Leicester in the fridge :yum:

  • @tinkerbelluk - could you pick new words to use in your journal and "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak. When my sister was in school, back in the 1960s so before computers, her English teacher gave them a word a day to find in a book. It wasn't easy, except for some reason, most of the words he gave her were in a housekeeping book my mother had! Including words like "iconoclast". The whole family learned a lot of new words that year as we made it a family project to look for them.
  • Monthly update time 😁 May:

    1) 24 mins of housework daily -
I wish!! Unfortunately I had a fall 3 weeks ago so have had to limit what I've been doing while I recover. I'm definitely improving now though so can start again today.

    2) 24 mins of asana practice daily - nope, see above! 🤦‍♀️ I'm hoping to start some 'hands free' practice this week though 😁

    3) 24 mins of walking daily - Nope, same as above. However, the swelling in my knees is improving so hopefully I'll be able to introduce a daily walk in a couple of days even if it's only for 10 mins at a time

    4) 24 mins of self-care daily - Not really - I've done a bit but mainly I've just sulked! 😂

    5) 24 mins of writing daily - Yep 😁

    6) 24 mins of gardening weekly - Definitely not!! 😔  hoping to introduce a bit soon though

    7) 24 mins meditation weekly - I've done this but I want to introduce daily practice.

    8) 24 days of nutrition study monthly - I've done several days.

    9) 24 days of strict WFPB eating monthly - I couldn't cook for a while so I didn't achieve this in May

    10) £24 reduction of monthly grocery budget  - I've managed this!! 🙌 I've put the money away as soon as it comes in and work with the smaller amount

    11) 24 alcohol free days monthly - Nope! May was a bad month for alcohol as I felt sorry for myself and used it as an excuse 🙄 I'm back on the wagon now

    12) 24 NSD'S monthly - Yep 🙌

    13) 24 'home spa' days within the year -  2/24 none this month - can't do much one handed!! 😂

    14) 24 tech free days within the year - 2/24 meant to be on my 'spa' days....

    15) 24 'out of the house' days within the year - 18/24 - not been mobile enough recently but did have an outing with dd & my grandbaby last week 😁

    16) 24lbs lost within the year - 4/24 🤦‍♀️

    17) 24 new books read within the year -  4/24 - haven't increased this but I'm re-reading some books at the moment

    18) 24 different veg/herbs grown within the year - I've definitely got this covered, I'll list them next time

    19) 24 bottles/jars of condiments/cordials made within the year -   8/24 - We started 4 jars of sauerkraut off last week

    20) 24 new recipes made within the year - 3/24 - struggling with this one - I may drop this target and substitute it with something else. I'm doing my vegan storecupboard challenge and don't want to be buying in stuff for specific recipes

    21) 24 items decluttered within the year - 24/24 COMPLETED

    22) 24 items donated to the food bank within the year - not started

    23) 24 sunrises watched at the beach within the year - 5/24 😍 - no further with this due to injuries

    24) 24 sunsets watched in the garden within the year - 12/24 😍 - only a couple to add this month due to dismal weather! 🤦‍♀️

I've decided that it will be easier for me to update weekly as several of my targets are weekly ones - I'm putting it on my Monday morning jobs list 😉😂

@DundeeDoll - You'll be sorry you asked! I have all of the modular building sets on my list to do / re-do as they're going to go across the top of our dining room cabinets, to join these (I've done 2 this year, but focusing on the cross stitch whilst I have the sunlight in my favour)

@weenancyinAmerica - Oh great idea, Strangely enough, I've already marked three to re-look up in the book I'm currently reading as I had no idea what they meant! And now thanks to you I have a 4th to add 🙌

@leftatthetrafficlights - Must admit I laughed at your comment about the self-care, as I seem to sulk when I have to do things for myself 🤣
