some good progress there @Happy_Kitties
I had a staycation so managed to get back on track with some challenges, most noticeably workout programmes (just finished the last one while watching the olympics), donations to CS (had a good clear-out and stopped counting at 24 as indeed I will with any challenges I reach 24 on), a film (despicable me 4), 3 shows (present laughter NT at my local cinema but counting that as a play rather than a film) and 2 plays at Pitlochry festival (sense and sensibility and footloose) and sorted some cupboards. Also got some reading love and some more jobs off the list. August is all work.1) Workout programmes: 14 2) Fiction books: 13 3) Non-fiction books: 15 4) green places: 16 5) Shows: 14 6) films: 12 7) Donation to CS: 24 8) Jobs off my list: 15 9) Litter picks: 13 10) Drawers / cupboards: 13 11) Different churches: 9 12) Fruit: 18 13) Museums / trails: 11 14) Bridges: 14 15) Different pubs: 10 16) Academic submissions: 12 17) Lectures: 15 18) Documentaries: 14 19) Place-named foods: 14 20) Things that make me look / feel better: 14 MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hi everyone! I've disappeared off the face of the earth from here but I'm back. Just so much has been happening and happened that I just have put the internet on the back burner for a while.
I'm still plodding along, need to focus on a lot of my list and this month I WILL do it lol.
Catch up from me, busy last few months, with work, concerts and family events. A holiday and hospital appointments thrown in the middle there somewhere. I had my purse stolen last month in a day out with the family which I will admit has scared me a bit and made me a lot more wary of people and being in crowds. Even going into town puts me on edge now unfortunately.
But I'm hoping to get over that blip soon and get back to myself. New cards have arrived, so I owe myself money from having to dip into my cash saving challenge so that was a plus having cash in the folder.
Here's my update for the past 2 months or so.

Many thanks @DundeeDoll. You think when you first list your aims at the start of the year it will all be easy and I’ve realised it’s not and I never put myself first, so I’m glad I’ve incorporated some aims that do put me first.
you are making some brilliant progress, we all are, it is great to see.
Mini update from me as if I don’t update things now I will forget
1) 24 donations to local animal sanctuary. 5/24 local sanctuary has requested kitten food, have got them 48 sachets and 6 boxes of kitten crunchies donated that were a ridiculously cheap price in Asd@ along with some cat chews.
Another donation of several boxes of kitten crunchies donated in June and after I’ve been shopping in abit I have another donation that will make
7/24 +another 4 boxes kitten food=8/24
2) lose 24lbs in weight (def need to do this after finding out my weight yesterday)
3) 24 jobs in the garden. Really want to attack the garden this year and do some work on it…..plus free exercise 1/24….finally!
4) 24 ‘me time’ activities. As bestie pointed out recently I never put myself first 2/24
5) read 24 books I’ve actually started one, but the Olympics is addictive watching. I can only do a few pages at night and then I need to sleep. I reading more and doing less Olympics at the minute.
6) save £2400
7) save £240 on supermarket card for Christmas
8) declutter 24 items from the house each month 11/Jan. 9/Feb 10/March 15/July
Some decluttering in June, will need to provide an update on this.

End of August already. So anything 16+ I'm on target, anything under 16 I'm a bit behind. Stopping at 24 for each (so any more donations to the CS won't get added to the total) and so enjoying myself I've already started putting together ideas for 2025 :-) Off to Venice later this month for a week's holiday so that should help me catch up on churches and bridges

Sorry guys, I realised, I missed July's update so here we are with July & August's scores on the doors. I must admit I love when I get to this point of the year as things are moving from the "big list" to the completed section 🥳
- Answer 24 journal prompts of self-discovery and awareness - 0/24 - Still stuck at my big fat zero!
- Build 24 Lego sets - 2/24
- Complete 24 hobbies - 2/24 - Been busy doing a cross stitch "frame" ready to add in tarot cards as they get released, so that's taken most of the time, but given the frame part alone is 15,000 stitches this was definitely a large scale project, but I'm nearly finished, but I know I'm going to finish the year short on this one.
- Complete 24 things off master to do list - 7/24 - Slowly but surely chipping away at this one
- Deep Clean / Declutter 24 areas around the house - 3/24 - I really need to crack on with this and stop making excuses but I'm tackling rooms so that's taking longer
- Do 24 things with family and friends - 17/24
- Enter 24 competitions per day - 8/12 Months done and some fab prizes won in July & August, so very happy with this one
- Get rid of 24 items from loft / Garage - 0/24 - Again, I need to crack on with this!
- Go for 24 walks or bike rides over 30 mins - 12/24 - I'm struggling with this one as I'm only counting when I specifically choose to go out for a walk with no other purpose, so I need to crack on!
- Have 24 fun family adventures - 12/24 - Managed to tick off a load of these over the summer break
- Learn or do 24 new things - 17/24
- Learn and use 24 new words - 0/24 - I had a great suggestion a few months back of using these in my bullet journal, so I just need to do that this month
- Lose 24lbs - 17/24 (but have lost 32lbs in total, but I put 15 on since the beginning of the year 🤐 before starting at the end of May) - Really, really happy with this one and feel like I'm back in the zone. Still a long way to go but I'm hoping this motivation keeps up
- Practice 24 mins of mindfulness each week - 35/52
- Save £2024 over the year - £1820.94/£2024 - Fully on track with this one.
- Sell 24 things on ebay / booty sites - 4/24 - We've decided to repurpose one of our rooms, so selling furniture from there has helped, but I need to pull my finger out!
- Spend 24 mins each week organising photos - 35/52
- Treat / do something for myself 24 times - 18/24 - Finding this a bit easier as the year is going on, but still finding it difficult.
- Play 24 board games - 2/24
- Try 24 new recipes - 6/24
- 24 Donations to charity - 46/24 - Had a MASSIVE clear out of eldest daughter's bedroom and wardrobes as well as the room we're repurposing, so cue several trips to various charity shops to drop off masses of black bags full of stuff.
- Read 24 Books 32/24
- Have 24 no tech evenings - 38/24 - Getting stuck into hobbies in the evenings now, so this is becoming easier and I'm already forming better habits to avoid mindless scrolling/game playing etc of an evening.
- Watch 24 new to me films / documentaries / TV shows - 28/24
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same1 -

4) 24 mins of self-care daily - COMPLETED
5) 24 mins of writing daily - COMPLETED
6) 24 mins of gardening weekly - 4 sessions but over 2 weekends - worked out at more minutes but it's the consistency that I'm aiming for
7) 24 mins meditation weekly - COMPLETED
