As you may notice this is my first posting. The reason is the shoddy service that M&S are currently giving. I ordered as many did on Christmas day. On boxing day I had an email saying 3 of my 10 items were out of stock and I noticed that I was being charged the £3.50 delivery even though my order was well over £30. So I rang then an asked the lady if the rest of the order was in stock. She said yes and it would be despatched on the 7th Jan and received 8-10th . I then had another email on New year's eve saying another 2 items were out of stock and last week another email saying a further items was out of stock. I went on line to check my order and noticed that the delivery charge had re-appeared so I again telephoned them to have it removed. The lady said the rest of my order was in stock and would be despatched on 7th. That day I also emailed them letting them know of my disappointment in their service and asking them to confirm that the order would be despatched, No reply has ever been received to this. So last night i went on line to check to see if my remained 4 items had been despatched only to find that there is no sight nor sign of the order, and my aco!!!! says my last order was in October. All I can say is what a terrible service. As the same thing happened to me in the summer sale! Do you think the items actually exist? I shall ring them later today but I don't hold out much hope of seeing my order. I just feel I've wasted my time, first of all the hour or so it took me to look through the site to see what I wanted to order, then further time in emailing and then the money in ringing them.

Hi Jane
Welcome to MSEI'm sure you will have some great experiences on here!
It does look like your order has disappeared because it is all out of stock. Are you sure it's not under 'completed orders'? I would ring them up and give them an earful. Explain you have wasted time and money blah blah blah. Im sure they will give you some vouchers as a form of compensation.
I know how you feel though. It's happened to me three times now :eek:0 -
Was looking at the M and S website to see if I could track a package (non-sale) and was completely amazed to see lots of red price sale items back online. Many ladies boots now priced at £9 - the only problem is when you try to click and purchase it is not possible. I am really fed up with the entire set-up - lots of nightwear at rock bottom prices too but you cant purchase it!!!!!0

Yet another non-order for me, i placed an order on the 3rd, and today got the email yet again. I have cancelled the remaining 3 items on my order rather than call and complain about them adding on the p&p. Funny how everything was in stock when i placed my order though.
We need to set up an action group against M&S shoddy service:jcould call it MSEers against M&S:rotfl:
I went to local m&s on saturday, some sale stuff there and managed to get 2 skirts, a top and 2 pillowcases for £14, should have been £129.50. Would have been a good experience, except for these 2 women and 2 men who were 'guarding' them and stopping anyone from getting within a few feet of them(and most of the sale items), they kept picking stuff up, laughing at it then putting it back. I spotted a skirt i wanted and grabbed it before anyone else could-as you do:T, and they all turned to laugh at me. Very strange.0 -

I was told earlier this week that I would receive this order on the 8th January, yet it still hasn't despatched.
This happened Christmas 2006 too when I received NONE of my order and I wasn't even told - I had to call you!
Is this likely to happen again?
When I placed my order ALL items were in stock so will I definitely have them on the 8th?
Many thanks.
Received this reply yesterday:

I also noticed some £1-£3 sale items on the website this morning, but couldn't seem to add most of them to my basket. So I rang up and asked to order them over the phone. Chap was taking the numbers and saying he was able to add them at his end, and he could see the other 17 items I had in my basket (Xmas cards etc). When it got to confirming the order, the site all went squiffy and couldn't find the pages for the reduced stuff, and it all disappeared out of my basket too. The M&S chap was just as baffled as me! Basically couldn't place the order, had a moan, got offered some credit on my account as compensation but would have much much rather had the reduced items!0
