I received the 99p basting brush the other day. Its an excellent brush but It arrived on its own in a huge box. Must have been 500 times the size of the item with loads and loads of packaging. Such a waste. I ordered lots of other things with it but they havnt arrived yet.

My tale of woe or possible success, Don't know to believe it or not, But my M&S online order with 4 items (ordered 12:10am Xmas Day) is being dispatched soon. I did phone M&S just after Xmas about my online order and I was told other than 1 item a daft torch/magnifying thing to pad out my order to exactly £30 for free P&P the rest of my items were out of stock.

The chap I talked to at M&S asked me if I wanted to cancel my order I said I would do it online with my account but I just left it and low and behold they found stock !?!?. M&S have charged £30 for the 4 items on my CC, so well let's wait and see what turns up this week.

I think I would rather turn up early at a M&S store at sale time and chance my luck in future M&S sales as many have found their online service is not exactly the best and random at best.

Personally I think that you were quite lucky to get the refund with no proof of the original mistake to show them. They have indeed merely taken your word on the matter, ie just what she said. It's worth asking about compensation for extra parking, yes, as occassionally there's a discretionary element and nothing ventured, nothing gained, but if they say no you've either got to be standing on solid grounds for a complaint against this policy (not the assistant who told you this) or take it in good grace. You got your money back (more than many stores would have given, after all) and gained a valuable lesson...check your receipts before you leave the shops!

yes thanks for reply. I did not wish to make complaint against the assistant, i normally check my receipts but that time i was watching each item as it was being scanned but did not realise the silly woman still charged me when i said no (after she scanned) when it was not a further reduced item.
i will probably leave it that, but thanks for reply.

Well the one item I was told I would absolutely not get and so it would need to be cancelled ( I re-ordered seperately) has been dispatched. The other two items I was told would be with me soon are still waiting. I will be careful about what gets cancelled in future!!

Can anyone shed any light on my situation? I'm puzzled. I ordered on 27th and it still says:

It's now the 7th, so why is it still saying that?

I placed an order on the 27th December for £160. It was reduced daily till there was only £40 worth of goods left and then my store charge card was charged on the 2nd Jan, but no items were posted out till today?? I didn't know they could charge till the goods were despatched. I only found out as my bill arrived today requiring payment, but the £40 should be on next month's bill as it is dated 3rd Jan and the goods went out after then. So sick of their terrible service.....

I checked my Marks account at 4pm and nothing else showed as despatched, but lo and behold my lovely HDN man just brought one of my deliveries, looks like one item oos but no time to check as off to the cinema to see a free movie

Did anyone else noticed that their M & S store had al sale goods reduced a £1 today with underwear 50p! I popped in after 4 and there were a few things left but not much, might pop in tomorrow morning and see if there's anything else!
