but notices everwhere that there are no returns!
but at those reduced prices, if one gets the required sizes, one wont return them.
for eg. formal trousers originally £89, reduced to £19
luxury shirts £39.50 now £9.
t-shirts £29.5 now £7
were really bargains.0 -
We bought a £249 man's suit for £38 instore!!! :j
While I was browsing the reduction rails 2 sales assistants arrived with another rail of bargains and were mobbed - one had to stand in front of the wheeled rail while her colleage put the hangers on the static rails. Customers were grabbing armfuls of anything they could reach, regardless of size!
I managed to find a few items in my size and went off to try them on - when I returned for another look, most people had actually been trying on the clothes next to the rails!!!
I got some trousers reduced from £35 to £3 and 3 tops for £3 each. That more than made up for the online fiasco I have been experiencing, especially as one top was the same as one (reduced on the website to £9) that finally arrived this morning as part of a website order (that had dwindled from a bargainous haul to just 2 items and which had been driven around by HDNL for a whole week).
I had visions of the M&S warehouse being like the bargain rails today - staff fighting each other for the one remaining garment to fulfil an online order...:rotfl:0 -
i just managed to get thro to the store as it was closing, explained what happened - they did not take my name down but said i should pop in tommorow. Although i will be happy to get my cash back but do they give any compensation for the inconvience i.e getting to town, parking etc?
I think they might argue that it's up to you to either watch what's going on as the assistant rings through your sale (especially if there's something unusual in the transaction) or check your receipt before leaving the store. So I doubt very much if they'll offer compensation. Nothing ventured though...you could always ask if they'll cover your second parking costs.Val.0 -
Send this email to M&S on Friday:
I was told earlier this week that I would receive this order on the 8th January, yet it still hasn't despatched.
This happened Christmas 2006 too when I received NONE of my order and I wasn't even told - I had to call you!
Is this likely to happen again?
When I placed my order ALL items were in stock so will I definitely have them on the 8th?
Many thanks.
Received this reply yesterday:
