Ha Ha! My last two orders all out of stock. Now who's not surprised?? At least I got Christmas Day orders - or part of it so far anyway the other part is in the depot!0

Hi,
Great post, & also whoever suggested several smaller (£30) orders, received 3 out of 4 orders now & some great bits for all the family at good prices.
Thanks

All sale stuff seems to have disappeared from the website, shame!
Now let's see if I get any of my orders!!0 -
Ohh it can - although not directly M&S's fault, they use Home Delivery Network, perhaps among the worst couriers there are. My item was dispatched last Friday. It arrived in the HDN depot on Monday. It took until today to reach the 'local' HDN depot and was loaded onto the van this morning. It's still sitting in that van because it hasn't arrived here (and today was the last date in the 'estimated delivery' range).
(Courtesy of HDN's 'tracking system').
agree, the tracking number M&S gave me would not track, rang M&S was told couldnt explain it, rang an hour later spoke to somebody different, they said had not gone via HDN but white arrow , they do not track so I would have to ring them, white arrow said they left it at the rear of the property, not here i said i was in all day, they have now said they have delivered to the wrong address and trying to recover it........not much hope of that i think!! what a shambles.sanfly0 -
From experience, I've never had them claw back postage, cashback has never been reversed either
I retained my quidco cashback even after every item was gradually declared 'out of stock', and it was paid as normal. Went a small way towards the inconvenience.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I've phoned a couple of times (01925 672 317) and have been more than happy with the customer service from the operators - I received a £15 credit to my M&S account for the inconvenience (I told them about Home Delivery Network's poor delivery service) and they also took the P&P off an order that had dropped to below £30.
If you ask them to deduct the P&P do watch out that it doesn't go back on though, which it will automatically if anything is cancelled from your order - a phone call will get it removed again though.
It always helps to be polite and friendly - that gets you results as well as tips on how to order sale items (eg try to add 20 of the item to your basket - if you can't, don't bother adding the one that is in stock as chances are that you won't get it).
I am still waiting for HDN to deliver my well-travelled package and am almost enjoying (in a masochistic way) watching my various other orders dwindle down to very little. It would be a real shock if everything turned up!!!0 -
Hello,
I know this is a bit cheeky, but seen as this has turned into a bit of a M&S saga I thought I would try my luck in here, seen as you all seem to be veterans of their treatment and therefore know how to deal with them.. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=7621279&postcount=50

Maybe worth printing off a copy of the online order and taking that with you as proof of what you paid

You will definitely get the price you paid. They don't show the price on the advice slip but it's all computerised so they know exactly what you paid.Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.0
