I'm a genius - I've worked out what their system is doing (ok so it's quite simple and I'm not a genius but there we go). I re-ordered one of my cancelled items after it appeared to be back in stock. It went out of stock almost immediately. Got an e-mail an hour ago telling me they'd cancelled an item again. Lo and behold - it's back in stock. Everybody got it yet?

As soon as they cancel an item their computer system is flagging the item as if we had cancelled it and the item is therefore available on the site again. I think. But if I'm right the 15 minutes thing they told you is complete rubbish - this was an hour ago and that particular item is still showing as in stock even though I, and they, know full well it isn't.

I just placed an order, i have 2 delivery dates for one order of 8 items, split in 2, first despatch is set for 7th jan, the second for the 14th, so here goes!

However. . . i thought i would just check to see if the items are still for sale, and of the first lot, one of the items has completely disappeared off the site. Looks like i'll be getting that same old email yet again-if im lucky. When will i learn?

And just checked again, 2 more items have disappeared into that black hole too. However, m&s are quite happy to let me order and pay for those items. How long before i give up all hope and cancel this order too:mad:

I'm actually almost enjoying this game now, will they, won't they cancel. I check my orders, cancel if they look iffy then reorder. I think I've had about 20% cancelled even though it appears to be in stock when I order.
I did finally get my 1st delivery today, including someone elses parcel! I put my 4 kids in the car and delivered it myself! Didn't trust sending it back...
I got a mattress enhancer and wondered why I had ordered that.... when I checked the price it was £7 down from £65, that would be why...
I was so disappointed in the last sale when after waiting patiently for 3 weeks, 18 out of 23 items were cancelled. I was so fed up, I rang up and moaned, asked to speak to a manager and moaned some more and eventually got £75, so it is worth making a fuss.
As someone said much earlier, try and only order if you are not too bothered if things turn up.

hi as you all i'm in the same boat.

but i need some advice.

i ordered on the 25th, since then i've had one item removed (£5) bringing total to £33. it says its ggoing to be delivered between 8th and 10th of jan.

i'v'e got an item in there, that was 7 in the sale and is now showing on the website as £5. whats my status here? do i get the item for £5 or not? as in will this current order be ammended with the current price when they complete my order?

i havent bothered to complain to m&s jus yet as i really need one of the items (ironically, the one that i mentioned above) so i dont want them to cancel my entire order.

You'll be charged the price the item was when you ordered it, i.e. £7.

Can't you try and place another order and re-order it at £5?

I ordered the scooby doo PJs on Christmas eve, still not been despatched yet...should arrive by 21st Jan apparently! As for the stationary sets, ordered some of them 31st Dec and just had them cancelled off this morning...despite still clearly being available yesterday :mad:

On the plus side i did find the order that was delivered yesterday - thrown over the back fence despite me being in all day!

Mmm I thought the same thing when mine arrived yesterday. I thought it was one of those mattress foam thingys!

Well I must be really privileged as my Christmas morning order arrived yesterday, in it's entirety!! Mainly underwear, pants, knickers, vests for kids and pjs and nighties for us all. Good luck to everyone else!!
