Thats is disgusting! How can they refund postage for some and not others.? I would email them telling them you want to cancel your order, as you have had your postage refund refused. I did that and they refunded postage straight away0 -
just recieved an email about 2 items been dispatched, however im confused!!! it says estimated delivery date 10th jan, l mean does it take over a week to deliver!! if its been dispatched it shouldnt take take more then a few days to arrive. im starting to wonder whether M&S really are in the UK or not!!
Ohh it can - although not directly M&S's fault, they use Home Delivery Network, perhaps among the worst couriers there are. My item was dispatched last Friday. It arrived in the HDN depot on Monday. It took until today to reach the 'local' HDN depot and was loaded onto the van this morning. It's still sitting in that van because it hasn't arrived here (and today was the last date in the 'estimated delivery' range).

So my very first email was really nice. Please could i have a refund please kind of thing got bit more mad so wrote this
Hello, Thank you for your reply, Like I explained in my last email the product was still showing to me as in stock a day after I had placed my order therefore your poor system did not update every 15 minutes, Why do you not have a "real time" ordering system which allows me to know at the time of placing an order whether my goods will be in stock? Therefore giving me the choice to proceed with my order or not. However this is not my main issue. I am also appalled at now being charged delivery charges, despite me having fulfilled the requirement of spending £30+ with your company. It is YOU that can't fulfil my order and as for your reply about free delivery not being on sale items then why is there a sign saying you can have free delivery on the items in the sale pages. This is then false advertisement, is it not? It is still there on all the sale pages. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have experienced with your company and it doesn't fill me with any confidence to shop with you again. Please see the attached link with a web page from your website showing the free delivery offer on sale items. I wait for your reply. Thank you
Sorry nicked a bit from op on here as sounded very good. No reply so now have sent this and a complaint to watch dog. Didn't tell m&s that though.
I do understand this is a busy time for your company but I haven't had a reply to my last email. I feel the only way forward is to cancel my whole order it really isn't worth all this hassle. There are many companies that are also busy at this time and can fulfil their orders and satisfy their customers with excellent service. This is your fault and not to be compensated is dreadful. I have screen shots if you need them of the free P&P offer on the sale pages and of the Promotional code discount page where is does NOT state that discounts can't be used at sale items

I just rang five minutes ago and got my p&p refunded and also £2 for some earrings which didn't come in the order though it said they would. I would suggest ringing them(non-0845 number is 01925672317)
I didn't get offered any kind of compensation like many others on this board so I may write a letter to their offices as their service has been absolutely terrible and they are giving some compensation and ignoring others! They took £31 from my account three days ago for this order that they 'cancelled' which has now magically turned up today! Though with £11 of items missing.0 -
Absolutely appaulled with HDN services!
After waiting a long time for my items to arrive I found a delivery note this evening saying that they had left 4 packages in the garden. Unfortunately no mention of which part.
It turns out they threw 4 boxes over my side gate and they have been sitting there all day. They are thoroughly soaked. One of the them had a hole in the box so the jacket inside was wet. AND to top it all off...one of the boxes wasn;t even mine!!!!!
Which means that I have this person's box (who lives up the neigbouring street) and they could have mine. So much for data protection rules!!!
I've been waiting for the last half an hour for the call centre person to call me back after finding out "where my delivery is"
I'm very tempted to write an email to watchdog myself!
Absolute shambles this sale!!!!!!!
UPDATE: After an hour of waiting had a call back. Spoke to the same customer rep who told me the best thing she could offer was £10 off my next online order! LOL!!!! I then asked to speak to the manager and was told i would be called back 2mw. This I refused, and was miracously connected to the manager in a matter of mins after I reminded, politely, the lady that the call centre didn;t close til 8. Final result - I could have replacements of all items (but as I pointed out to him they were all out of stock sale stuff!), the other person's package would be collected next week, my next delivery would arrive as per my instructions and finally £30 gift vouchers in the post.0 -
Well with all the problems from previous orders, i decided to leave buying from m+s online again.... this is why i prefer sites like kays as i have an account with them and pay when my statement arrives which is usually after a month. i dont pay for anything unless its arrived this way! they have also sorted out problems a hell of a lot quicker!
M+S - sort yourselves out! i hope watchdog does investigate this ongoing problem.

It definately started yesterday in Peterborough - they told you as you paid at the tills about it being non returnable.
Regarding delivery dates for internet orders - the estimated delivery dates (once it has been despatched) are usually wrong - mine was estimated delivery of 3rd Jan but I received it about 5 days before that!0 -
Twas me! If they ever come that is! :rotfl:
Quote from squoog ; I got a mattress enhancer and wondered why I had ordered that.... when I checked the price it was £7 down from £65, that would be why...
Mmm I thought the same thing when mine arrived yesterday. I thought it was one of those mattress foam thingys!
No problem Lara - managed to put an order through this morning at 6am when my son woke up (he went back to sleep I went on M&S website :rotfl: ). Lets see if miracles do happen and any of my three orders turn up. This problem seems to be catching though as I have just had a cancellation email from WHSmith saying my jewellery box order has been cancelled
Update on my three orders - (1) Only two wallets left on this one (2) Only two dressing gowns left on this one and the are due for despatch tomorrow so may get these (socks, pj's, jeans and a whole heap of other stuff has been cancelled). Spoke to M&S yesterday and a lovely CS person credited the P&P charges to my account (as if I would order again!!!). Nothing has happened to my third order yet........0 -
th rest of my order finally arrived!! A question there is one item i do not want and wish to return to a store. If i do it will M&S back charge me the delivery fee? as my original order was for £31 and item to be returned is worth £7.0

From experience, I've never had them claw back postage, cashback has never been reversed either0
