    Yes I think so.  :)
Thank you. I shall do so with the rest of the template and come back when I hear some more.

What’s generally the next steps from here? I read it can take quite a while before you hear anything after submitting the defence

The first 12 steps are in the Template Defence thread first post.  Then the NEWBIES thread second post gives you a start to finish overview of 'what happens when' and things like how to fill in the DQ, and what to put in your WS bundle.

Yes, and if you are so minded (as we are):

Please follow this link and answer some/all questions in this vital Inquiry before it closes, while this 'scam' litigation is on your mind:

    The Committee invites evidence on:

    • What the current level of delay in the County Court is

    • The ways in which the County Court engages with litigants in person, and how this could be improved

    • The causes of action giving rise to claims in the County Court

    • What future reforms to the County Court should be considered.

Please also state that private parking firms and their bulk litigators are the main cause of delays as far as small claims are concerned.

Over a quarter of all small claims nowadays are private parking.  That is national disgrace.

The MoJ must now be informed to urgently separate parking cases with a new pre-action protocol (requiring use of ADR instead of inflated debt demands and bulk litigators who want court). It should be a last resort but it isn't.

Tell the Committee about your claim and show the Claim Form and the lack of evidence from the Claimant, who made no real attempt to narrow the issues and resolve the dispute out of court.  This treatment of motorists should be illegal.

The 'debt claims pre-action protocol' is not fit for purpose for these cases.

Please strongly OBJECT to the intrusive 'Debt Reply Forms' you were sent, and ask the Committee to insist on a proper ADR and 'private parking protocol' to resolve disputes and expose the worst scam PCNs out of court.

    Please add your voice; just
answer the questions in your own words but making the points above.

You might want to also say that court claim forms are in legalese and unsuited to average consumer defendants who have not made an active choice to face litigation, but are treated as cash-cow victims by the out of control parking industry.  Enabled by the courts.

"This inquiry is currently accepting evidence

The committee wants to hear your views. We welcome submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence.

You have until Wednesday 17 January 2024  to make a submission to the committee."

I have just received an email from someone at DCB Legal @Coupon-mad

"Having reviews the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim"

They have also sent me a copy of the claimants DQ, which they said has been filed with the court already.

Then go on to say they may be prepared to settle the case, and to call them.

Should I respond in any way? Or just ignore it?

Both are in the Template Defence thread first 12 steps, so you were expecting them (and we don't need to see the basic stuff!).

Just had my notice of proposed allocation through, and the N180.

I have filled it out digitally and emailed it to CCBC as I did with my defence.

Also sent on to DCB Legal email address(es) I have.

Bit of a concern here. I sent the N180 directions questionnaire to the CCBC email address on 7th Feb, and also to DCB Legal the same day. I did notice just now however the attachment wasn't on the email I sent to DCB Legal, but it was to the CCBC email. I also got the auto response from CCBC.

I have just had a letter through, which I have attached here. I do notice on there that it says to mail it to dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk instead of ccbcaq address.

Shall I just resend it, along with an attachment of the prior email I sent to the other email address and auto response which states the auto response is acceptance of the mail? Or any other action? It's a concerning thing I wasn't expecting.
