I would not worry about the post box thing , if they want to do it by post box thats there problem . If you look at the P O website you can track your letter , so if it,s marked as being delivered a certain date , work from that date .
  • I have two DCAs who I have been paying for a couple of years now. After reading this thread I shall write to them to ask for a copy of the CCA.

I have CCs, a loan and an OD that have not yet been passed to a DCA. For each, should I request a copy of the CCA? In the letter should I include the sentence 'I do not acknowledge any debt to your company...'?

    Thanks.

I not sure how things will work out if its still with the OC , they are more likely to have the correct paperwork . Its when the account has been sold on afew times that the paperwork is likely to be wrong or missing .
I, m preparing to send the second letter , to arrive on FRIDAY .It will be a month + 12 days . So unless i recieve the correct paperwork tomorrow or Thursday , the account will only be enforceable if they get a court judgement . To which i will defend on the grounds of non Conpliance to the CC ACT
  • Thanks stapley. Perhaps I should request a CCA from the OCs nonetheless; I cannot see it being a detrimental step to take, and just maybe they will not have the paperwork.

I discovered on the CAG forum that an OD is not covered by the act, so no point writing to that OC.

Today I sent a CCA request to each DCA. When does the clock start ticking?

I correct myself , on top of the single page it has in large capitals,SKYCARD APPLICATION FORM. underneath that it says Credit Card Agreement regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974

Not valid repeat and put £1 in . If it ever went to court ,which i doubt you must show YOU did everything correctly. good luck
