  • Well done all savers who have persisted with the challenge.  Just two more weeks now until it finishes.  Spreadsheet has been updated.

The new thread for  2025 has been set up and the link is below.  Please read how the challenge works on the first thread and the MSE blog.  I will put a new spreadsheet up early January and allocate new challenger numbers.

  • #3 reporting £14.50 to complete the 2024. Yes I know that puts me over, can only say having the chart on the wall next to the jar doesn't mean that I always score it off.

Thanks for running the thread all year. Hope everyone enjoys their holidays and all ready for next year's challenges.

Rounded my total up to £206.xx today with a £20 something payment.
Could stick the remainder into my challenge pot, but at this point, it won't really make a difference as it will be going to the same place.
Suppose I could be missing out on 2p interest for a week though ;)

Maybe a trivial amount, but it's the most I've saved since being on furlough during Covid!

Hello @enthusiasticsaver and all who follow/take part in this challenge.

I'm delighted to say that I've finished the challenge today by paying over the last amount of £56.55 which, along with monthly interest, has given me the amount of £667.95. Yippeee. This will go towards my next and final stage of my JoGLE hike - we plan to walk from Tiverton to Lands End in April.

I won't be taking part in the challenge next year as I've stopped work for the foreseeable. Will be looking for a part time job in the new year but doubt I will have the funds to save this amount. Instead, I'm going to do 'Fiver Friday' - not sure whether to start a thread and invite people along (as can't see that there is one already??)

Thanks as ever to @enthusiasticsaver for running this challenge and for all the motivation  :)
