Hello. It's me. I'm back 😊
I had to defrost Feargal again before I could set off for home! Not impressed.
I paid the leccy bill at the PO. I've put out the bin and recycling boxes ready to be emptied tomorrow. I've changed into my scruffs, emptied my lunch bag, and I'm enjoying a coffee.
Oh and I grabbed 5 minutes at work to write out the list for flylady Christmas cards and Natty's new address. Transferred from my phone to my notebook. I work better with paper.
Hope you are all toasty.

Spent the morning doing random bits of housework in no particular order or reason whilst I procrastinated mentally about what type of box to make for DGD's advent calendar. Anyone else very much a procrastinator?
Finally got stuck into it after lunch and have cut out 24 identical box templates. Each one large enough to hold one Rose's chocolate in it.... 12 of them have been assembled and filled with a chocolate (it's nice the chocs are all individually wrapped) and sealed with a cut-out sticky vinyl day number on . The rest can be done tomoz...
I need to made one slightly larger box to hold Christmas Day's treat (a v. small choc Father Christmas and four reindeer), but now I have the template, it'll be easy to enlarge it. I will then drive it over to DD's either tomoz or Friday before school finishes so she has it for 1st Dec.
Tomorrow is potential Agent Million visit day so I must make sure the porch, hallway and living room are presentable just in case before I finish the Advent Calendar work...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Asparklierblonde said:Quick update from me. Animals fed, upstairs hoovered
, DS bed stripped and whirring in the WM, other beds made.
Electricity meter read and submitted (frightening), small amount of washing pegged out, kitchen floor and sofa hoovered, some paid stuff done. Oh, also washed the outside of the kitchen window because the sun showed just how filthy it was!
Back to paid stuff now xTomorrow I'm reading ours and am not looking forward to it!Hope everyone who was ill is feeling better. This morning I put some washing on and then went back to Aldi to get another 20 boxes of the shortbread for the charity do; fortunately they still had them. Came home and dropped them off with the paper for A. Went out again, to Lidl this time, and bought 40 chocolate oranges, also for the charity do. I don't know what the young woman at the till must have thought - perhaps that I am a serious chocoholic. Well I am but even I couldn't scoff 40 chocolate oranges. Ok, I could but it would take me a while.Called in at M&S on the way home.
When I got back I put the washing on to TD, made lunch then washed up. I got all the ingredients together to make the Christmas cake and just as I was about to start beating the butter and sugar, my friend whose father has been in hospital for over two months rang and I didn't like to say I would ring her back as she obviously needed to talk. 90 mins later I was off the phone but by that time it was 4 o'clock and time for tea. After that I finally started on the cake and got it in the oven at 6.00. When I got up this morning I thought it would be long done by then! I took it out at 22.00 and the skewer came out clean, although it doesn't look as dark on the top as I would have expected. Oh well, hopefully it will be ok.Made supper and washed up and then blocked up some air vents as A is scared cold air will come rushing through them and freeze us. Administered eye drops and got A's breakfast things out so just the final eye ointment to do and I'm done for the day I hope. I didn't get around to booking my flu vaccination so must try and remember to do that tomorrow. I also need to ring the bank, something else I didn't get around to doing today.

Hope you're feeling better Ionafan, doesn't sound like a good birthday gift.
Very cold and frosty here, had to scrape the car even though I didn't go out to the gym until 10am.
- Body Pump
- stopped at PO on the way home, flycards are now posted as is StepSis card (Canada).
- Picked up a couple of things from charity shop hoping to re-use as presents, although I'm not really that good at crafting.
- ploughed on with another report
- helped Mr N move more things out of the conservatory, work starts next Monday.
- Got another couple of Big Give 'presents'.
- Printed off donation 'card' for a friend; gathered together paper and tags to wrap her small present tomorrow morning as we're having lunch and I probably won't see her again before Christmas.
- Did some drum practice. My current Hold the Line has the same timing as one of my fave Christmas Songs (Christmas Time by Darkness) so my brain is easily confusing them.
- made a quick macaroni cheese while Mr N was in his biker friends Zoom meeting.
- Went to carol service at our nearby Christian College, lovely; lots of international students and a very impressive old building which houses the college. Grass very crispy and sparkly.
- wrote a few more cards while catching up on Shetland.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Firmly in WAC here. Heavy snow and wishing I had moved my car to the top of the driveway as I do need to go out tomorrow!Cuppa and malted milk anyone?!7
-
wac but cannot have a cuppa or a biscuit because i have to take my tablet on an empty stomach. We have a light dusting of snow.
Last night i ironed the washing, though it hadn’t fully dried, it can finish off on the maiden. I have put my dual fuel DD up, better now than to face a shock in the spring, DW has been on.
