Morning all.
Iona, I hope you continue to recover today. That bug sounds awful.
I'm up, dressed, bed is made and I'm having first cuppa. Back to paid stuff today.
Have a great day everyone,Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
Hard frost outside, thermometer reading -4. The fire was still glowing so I’ve been out for more coal and got it going again. It’s 11 degrees in the kitchen (gotta love old stone floors) so the children will eat brekkie in the living room by the fire.
WM spinning, I will peg that out when it gets light. It is forecast to be a sunny but cold day so it might not dry but it will smell lovely!I promise to hoover upstairs today, that’ll warm me up!Iona that sounds awful, I am really pleased you got to see the Nutcracker though xx
Cuppa in bed now then will make a start proper. Have fab days all x9 -
Good morning all xx
Hope you are truly on the mend / mended now iona 😘 Two of my colleagues were off with D & V yesterday. Maybe these frosts will kill a few bugs.
Sorry Fayolle I don't know the words to that one. Hope work goes well today.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and supped a brew. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling when I go out.
I forgot to pick up the leccy bill from the kitchen table so I'll have to stop off at PO again tonight. I did have a lovely hour with Pops on my way home though.
The one thing I haven't done yet - Christmas wise- is write my flylady cards. Panicked a little when I read that you had all ticked this off your to do lists....then reassured myself that it's not December yet. I'm not late. You're early. 😇
I could not work out why it took me so long to travel to work yesterday. It was puzzling me all day. Just clicked that I spent a while deicing Feargal before I could set off. D'oh.
So I'd better get a move on as I'll need to do the same again this morning. Can anyone remember where I put my gloves after I washed them last Spring? No? Me neither. 🥶.
Mahoosive hugs heading across the ether

Glad you're both feeling a bit better Valli and Ionafan.Telephone handset that's been missing for a couple of weeks found, at last. I no longer look for things that aren't urgently needed because it is such a waste of time, but I did wonder where I'd put it. That's one item I can tick off my list of things that have gone AWOL. I really wouldn't mind finding the wool gloves though.Woke up early and just couldn't get back to sleep so I got up while it was stil dark (that never, ever happens), put a load of washing on, tidied the kitchen, made up the superking and double for the people we're expecting in a couple of weeks, let the dog out who decided it was far, far too cold to lower her delicate behind on to the ground to pee and raced backed indoors to her crate instead, shook out a load of dusters and put them into soak, dealt with a filthy pair of gardening gloves that needed attention, pegged out the washing and drafted a letter to an art gallery about the lack of work by women on display. Also, found the Flylady Christmas cards I'd set aside to write that I'd tidied away to my In Tray before going to Glasgow and will write them today. I'm with you, Round. 'Tis still November. So today I will finish that letter, and find the definitions of different kinds of feminism a scientist asked about which I can't remember off the top of my head when anyone asks and send them to her.Better is good enough.10

Make sure all appointments/meetings are in the diary for December.
Put unwanted pile on the free group to see if anyone wants the stuff if not it will be going to the tip at the weekend.
Well think that is all that I need to tackle for today and hopefully, I can make progress on my decluttering/decorating list, I am making slow progress on the list but on reflection probably wasn't the best time to start decluttering/decorating with exams in less than 2 weeks. Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday and hugs to those who want/need them.

Quick update from me. Animals fed, upstairs hoovered
, DS bed stripped and whirring in the WM, other beds made.
Electricity meter read and submitted (frightening), small amount of washing pegged out, kitchen floor and sofa hoovered, some paid stuff done. Oh, also washed the outside of the kitchen window because the sun showed just how filthy it was!
Back to paid stuff now x9 -

Morning all, another day of sorting the grandchildren. All now deposited at school. So far I have also: done DW for first time today; Put all the cakes and mince pies i made yesterday into the tin, (help yourselves); Chopped lots of veg for tonight's bolognese, got out some mince to thaw; Put half a pigs head and some trotters into a pan to cook, going to make brawn; Made a batch of potato cakes with last nights left over mash.
Still to do: Check the tunnel, see if it needs watering. Hoover the stairs. Make the bolognese. Make the brawn. Sort out DGC from school, feed and water them, get them ready for bed, read stories.
Tomorrow DD1 is not in work and S-i-L will be home too. Easier second half of the week.
@Dizzy_Imp. Love the puppies, especially the one hanging over the edge. Hope they sell well, and soon, for you. To all those under the weather, huge hugs.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx
