Glad the moving issue was resolved promptly. I agree with sorting out the cat and the insurance once you are there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

Great that your sun has found a cheaper car option.
I can't believe how fast your move date has come around!
If it helps, I didn't pay for packers either. I have some cast iron pots that are really heavy. I didn't want to put them in a box as I thought it would be too much weight. One of the movers asked if he could put them in a box rather than carry them. I said yes and explained why I hadn't. He packed up the three large ones, including two lids, into one box then put it on his shoulder, carried it down two flights of stairs and into the back of the van like he was carrying pillows. I was walking behind him with the third lid like I was carrying a table. They were great guys.

Thanks EH, Jwil and GAP
They say they've just dropped off the outdoors sofa thing, parasol and plants. I've asked my seller to confirm when he's back there. I've also checked the buyer's availability tomorrow - and he's pretty much free all day so that's a relief. I didn't want to get stuck waiting for him to turn up. He only lives a couple of streets away.
Cleaner is now packing up most of the stuff in my bedroom. Then just what's on the sofa, what's on my desk in the WFH space and a few bits in the kitchen. I then need to finish boxing anything in the shed and garage (most done) and then should be pretty much done. A few bits under the stairs too...
I'll go and put the washing in the dryer and then she is going to disconnect the washing machine for me.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH - you wouldn't usually need to wait for the buyer for anything - keys are usually left with the selling agents. It's a better idea all round as it means there can be no question of access being given/keys handed over or anything like that. So you get the last bits packed tomorrow morning, wave the removal men off, drop the keys, then go to the agents you are buying through to collect the keys to your purchase, and you're away.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I agree, let the estate agent deal with the keys, you want to be getting on your way.

Third using the EA to drop the keys off at and pass onto buyer.Cat will have to be kept in for a while when you get to the new place, so that will give you time to find a vet, change address on chip etc.

You've done well getting the report in and packing.
Eat whatever you want, life's too stressful at the moment to be picky and fret.
With the home insurance I went for basic locks on the door and window locks. worst case is I had to ask the ins co to update the details after getting the keys. Honestly, it's nothing to worry about.
Good luck tomorrow!
