Thanks GAP and KK. Another night with only 4-5 hours sleep but hopefully things will settle after the move. My weight has dropped slightly but not hugely so obviously my perception of how much I'm eating versus reality must be different. It still feels weird and surreal to think I only have 1 night left here.
Yesterday I continued to be very perfectionist about my packing - tipping out the cubes that were in my WFH space - and decluttering into the bin as I went. That has effectively freed up 3 cubes to be used for other things so definitely getting better. I filled 90% of next door's bin just with stuff decluttered since Friday - and now have a freshly emptied bin here to play with if I need it. Ideally I still need a tip trip - but for things like old fluorescent light tubes, venetian blinds, a long mop and a defunct beach tent and a few things from the outside storage box rather than anything heavy.
I still need to clean out the cat box before tomorrow. Ideally I could also do with nipping to the vet and getting more flea treatment as the cat is due. I'm tempted to take the cat so they can scan its chip as I don't know the microchip number to update my address. The alternative is to try and find the details of the rescue centre I got it from.
I'm going to have some porridge, shower, dress and then I'd best crack on. Very grateful my cleaner is due later and DS tonight. Need to find him some pillows and a sheet as we packed some of those before I asked him to come.
I found my passport yesterday which was good - it was on my to do list. My home insurance is nagging at me - as I'm not sure I read their assumptions properly before clicking yes - so need to review that after I move. TBH I can't really answer some of the questions in it properly until I move such as how am I supposed to know what kind of lock the doors have?
The list is long of individual items left to do - but volume wise it isn't that much.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks TG and Beanie
Just had a stress peak as despite getting supposedly put in their diary on the 12th - and ringing them twice last week to confirm - I wasn't booked in the movers' diary. They are going to still sort it thankfully. They will move my pots and have subbed out tomorrow's work. I don't need this kind of drama!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The movers calendar got messed up !! ArghDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

It happens, but you've pre-empted it being a problem and it's being sorted. That's one you can let go now. Feel you on not needing dramas right now too - just remember, it WILL all be fine, and this time tomorrow you will probably be on your way to saying goodbye to your current home and heading towards a new adventure.
Don't worry about the insurance as you can always cancel once you have moved if needed as you'll be within the cooling off period. One to keep on a list, but can be worried about later rather than right now.
Time to stop being perfectionist about the packing now too - right now "good enough" is what's needed. Forget about the printer too - you can leave it out on the basis that you assumed as it was heavy they would move it as is - if they want it in a box then they will box it themselves. Plants too - our movers just put them all straight into boxes well packed together - everything stayed upright and undamaged!
Cat/microchip - you'll need a first appointment with the cat at the new vets - as long as you are confident that the phone number attached to the chip will work then that will be anyone's first port of call anyway - so scanning the chip can be done at the new vets and you can change address details then.

So happy to hear you've exchanged! And that you got the dreaded report done when it must have been the last thing you felt like concentrating on! You're so nearly there with the packing and last bits and pieces. Good advice from EH above. All the very best for tomorrow!3

Thanks LWAP, EH and @catclaires
Yes the cat's microchip phone number should work fine. Thanks for that nudge about I can sort it at the new place - and the same for the insurance. I need someone to 'support' my decision making today. Just went to check the cat box and part of it has gone missing so just ordered a new one from Arg*s and will nip and pick it up in a bit. Hopefully I can get something I actually can eat at the same time - as its in Sainsbugs.
Will see how I go re the tip - but yes if necessary DS could do. Really grateful that he's coming as belatedly realised I might need someone to greet the movers at the new place if I get held up here - as it's important to ensure this place is completely empty of things not agreed can stay and I love him to bits but don't trust him to ensure that. He too is ADHD...
The movers have been and collected my garden furniture, parasol and pots. They're off to the new place now. They've subbed out tomorrow's work and I've spoke to that person who says they will be here at 8am tomorrow with 2 Luton vans and 2-3 people. They've knocked £50 off my price - so that can take care of EH's suggested tip for tomorrow. Need to get some cash out when I go to Sainsbugs later.
Yes - Claire and KK the report was a huge achievement in the circumstances - I couldn't have done in on the days I was timetabled to work as I couldn't have coped with interruptions and was in danger of ripping people's heads off - and my brain kept shutting down. Better reputationally and relationship wise to be left in peace to write it hence planning it for the weekend just gone. By that point I'd broken the back of the packing.
I've packed the living room picture. I'll go and do the landing one next.
EH - I've not paid for packers so don't know if they would do any of that...
I've been busy with today's drama - so I've only packed a couple of boxes so far today. Cleaner coming in 30 minutes which will help. I've put another load in the washing machine. Need to move that to the drier and then pack the clean washing. Not turned off the fridge freezer yet - planning to leave that until tonight and then if necessary using a hairdryer on it. I've frozen some ice packs to put in a little cool box.

Nope - we didn't pay for packers either! We never even thought about plants - and frankly had in mind on the morning that at a pinch we'd leave them outside and head back round and grab them later (obviously easier for us than for you allowing for distances involved), but no need, the guys just shoved them in boxes and all was good! It's something you can ask about when they arrive in the morning though, and you can then deal with them if needed.
Fragile items I'd be inclined to wrap really well, box up, and mark the box "Fragile" on all sides and the top, and draw their attention to it. Ultimately they are FAR more used to moving fragile stuff than you are, so things are realistically less likely to get damaged if the movers handle them. we had just one breakage on our move - a piggy bank that foolishly I moved with coins in it and wrapped in newspaper rather than bubble wrap. Everything else was good as gold though! Removal boxes are also supremely strong!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
