Thanks Crystal, EH, GAP and Skint
I have spent most of this evening doing my report. Still more left to do tomorrow. Sent a couple of emails on delayed send.
I've wrapped some fragile blown glass items that I really hope survive. Getting towards the end of my packing - I have just picked up 3 paintings from the kitchen I now need to wrap. I remembered them yesterday but forgot earlier. I then have one picture in the lounge and one on the landing. I'm not ready to remove either yet. The one in the living room will fit in a tall box the boxes came in though so that just needs a layer of special paper. I found a framed picture in the downstairs loo I need to wrap. I need to revisit my list from the other day I think and encourage myself!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Could the fragile blown glass items be held for you by someone else until after the move, if you don’t have room in the car for them with you?

Maybe add some water to the B55 drinks? Those sugary drinks are lovely but as EG says they are bad for the teeth and not good for insulin levels - however whilst moving if they are helping with the stress then carry on and cut back on them once you moved
sounds like you have a hefty amount to play with from downsizing - maybe keep in mind the more big ticket items you buy the longer your possible full time creativity date will be
although I always need a working laptop and I use a high end model of MacBook Pro - cost about £2k last time but the last one lasted 7 re’s previous 9 yrs before I replaced as the battery died
I wouldn’t make any big moves on the money for 2 months beyond the £2k avc extras. You need clarity and wisdom so as you say get building quotes first plus end tax year is 2 months away so you can clearly plan finances and investments on the pre post 23/24 v 24/25 tax
how exciting to have a 6 year til fire goalDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

My bedroom
About 25% of my clothes - wardrobe empty. I have a chest of drawers still to pack although that is only about half full and has a drawer of random items. 2-3 boxes and that room is done other than the bedding and the lamps which I'm still deciding how best to pack.
Need to do the washing.
Wrap a mirror
Pack a fan and a few random items.
Pack a couple of lamps
Wrap 2 glass tops from cupboards
Bedding
Landing
2 baskets of stuff that would be better in a box
Plants to go in box/basket
DDs room
Wrap a picture
Put a few Xmas decorations in a box
Wrap a lamp
DS's room
Bedding and seal 1 box - leaving it out to see if DS wants to chuck anything / take anything away with him
Living room - 1-2 boxes left to pack other than plants and lamps and blankets
Put stuff on sofa in a box
Wrap remaining picture
Wrap mirror tray and a few ornaments
Plants
Lamps x 3
Kitchen
Less than 25% left
Some paintings, ornaments
Stuff under sink, food, some crockery and cutlery
Bin unwanted freezer stuff
WFH space
Finish report then pack computer stuff
Pack toner and random items - most likely to fit in existing cubes which aren't all full
Pack stained glass lamp and other lamp
Put away art supplies
Under stairs cupboard
Anything not in the storage towers - less than a box worth
Outside
Empty storage box - gave tent to handyman rest needs to go in bin which is full so can't do yet
Decide if any plant pots are to be left
Thanks LWAP, KK and Beanie. I'm still debating what items to take in my car. Will discuss with the movers and then prioritise. My three tiffany lamps are the priority and then some fused glass art I made, will see what space is left after that. It depends how they plan to deal with my paintings. Some will have to go with them - but others may go with me.
I have some fold up crates that I'll probably put my plants in. I think I have at least 12 house plants - most were bought for staging purposes. One is in a huge pot in the kitchen - I'd best bubble wrap that one but will leave it's wooden feet free.
I found a box I could possibly put the printer in if the movers want it in a box. It's a laser one so really heavy - I think I'd need help getting it into and out of any box. I've also found a box I can use for the microwave.
I'm going to do a few hours on my report - then go to the tip with some items as I'm not sure I'll be able to go tomorrow as I don't know what time the movers are coming for my plant pots or when the cleaner is coming. If it was last week - it will be mid afternoon. Then I'll need to carry on with the report.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

how exciting to have a 6 year til fire goal
I will have a hefty amount after downsizing which is fuelling temptation - hence decision to start AVCs from March rather than April. That way I'll feel 'poor' in comparison with my monthly pay which should act as a mental break on excessive spending. Too late for Feb payday now as I get paid mid month. For the first time ever I will max out an ISA! It will be better once the £ is squirreled away in savings accounts - and I've opened an extra one to help with that at 4% which I'll use as a feeder account for a 6.2% regular saver - at least until I can open another ISA in April. My mortgage is 1.84% so no point feeding it into that but will review in 3 years when my fix ends.
Two months is a good goal LWAP - as that would take me to the Easter sales - but will have to see how I go.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well it's taken all day - without a tip trip - but I have sent off the report. I've said my boss can ring me tomorrow so think she will as it's complex and it's the first one of this particular type so there are likely to be more queries. I also had to extensively rewrite much of what was given to me by others which could be contentious. Always fun. At least it's done and I no longer owe time so I feel very virtuous (for something others take for granted!) I still need to set my work phone to out of office too.
I'll leave my computer set up until I'm confident my boss isn't going to call. My brain is completely wiped and foggy now. I didn't get to sleep until gone 4am - and although I got up after 10am it doesn't really compensate. I drank 400ml of water overnight as I was very dehydrated. I've only had one of my special drink today and the excessive thirst has improved so it was definitely part of the issue. Back on water for the rest of the day. Probably.
I'm still feeling really sick - so think it must be my ADHD meds and stress. I've managed porridge but couldn't eat my chips & MnS moussaka which I normally love.So instead I had 2 slices of cheese, 3 mini tomatoes, small piece of my fave cake (which I couldn't finish) and a banana. I may nip out for some more fruit. I couldn't finish my meal at the Italian I went to the other night either so going out to eat also feels pointless.
My neighbour has put out her bin - so need to see what I can put in her bin as mine is full! If I can avoid the tip that would be best. Having a break first though - and letting it get darkeralthough I did ask her a long time ago if I could...
DS was originally going to have to hire an expensive rental car and travel to collect it - he's now found a much cheaper option through a friend though which will save me about £70. Hopefully this way he will get to me earlier as well tomorrow evening. It's pretty far from where he lives though - although my new place is pretty much the same.
Hope you are all having a good weekend. Thanks as ever for your support.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Oh well done for getting that report over the line! 👏 Considering everything that you have going on atm, I think you should be seriously proud of yourself for that! 😊🤩
If fruit is what you fancy and you could enjoy eating, definitely go out and get some. You are in the home straights now - you have whatever you need to get there.Good news on your son’s travel plans and getting to you earlier too 😊

Well done on getting the report completed.
Hope you feel better soon. It's probably a combination of stress and lack of sleep as well as the meds. You'll be in the new place soon, so hopefully things will settle down a bit for you."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
