Too paranoid for biometric solution. If you check out stats on stolen / published data it's scary. You can never get that back.
Did a tiny bit of tidying ahead of boiler guy coming tomorrow.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'll admit to not having bio access set up. Perhaps use fave places, a happy memory, something in your home.
Good luck with boiler guy, hope it goes well.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks MF. Boiler guy hasn't been yet. I got up at 10 today (and looked out at 9am) in case he came early. Thankfully he didn't.
Health
I'm feeling a bit more human today. For context I've not really been able to read diaries this week or even listen to stories as it required too much concentration and I felt too foggy. I've taken my ADHD meds today which has also helped. I'm still coughing a scary amount overnight in particular. I've lost 3.5lbs without trying this week as struggled to eat / uninterested / didn't taste right. I've had porridge today for the first time in days as I've tried to majorly reduce my milk intake this week to reduce phlegm. I'll try some veg soup next.
I've just ordered my first ever air purifier. £130 but well rated. In theory it's available for £100 but nowhere had it in stock and its post sale price is £180 so just went with the best available price. It comes tomorrow. I am hoping it will help my breathing particularly overnight. I struggle with allergies a lot and when it's hot as well can feel really breathless. I don't mean in an asthmatic way - I mean more that I'm flooded with phlegm etc... Some of my extended family have had proper testing and are allergic to vast tranches of what I eat regularly. Perhaps that's something else I should investigate after I move - both allergy testing - and causes of breathlessness. I suppose I'm scared they'll just say obesity which is why I haven't gone illustrating the health dangers of shame. Lectures from health professionals are totally counter-productive. They just make me either rebel or not go or both.
I don't know if I mentioned it but I had a bone scan in the Summer - but only chased up the results just before Xmas. Initially the practice said they'd never had the results and to ring the hospital so I did that. Then they rang me back as they'd found them (the hospital resent them anyway). I now have a phone appointment with the GP next week to discuss it. I assume that means there is a problem and I need to take more vitamins or something. Trying not to over-worry about that.
I seem to have 3 or 4 doctor's appointments booked in next week - one is a chemist review, one is about the scan results, the other 1 or 2 seem to be duplicates but I may leave them in - and ask about some of my other long standing issues that I've been avoiding. I may just wait though until after I've moved as if I was referred anywhere it may not be transferable. I still haven't done anything about finding a new practice for after I move that would accept a shared care plan re ADHD. I think worst case I would just pay private for meds although that would be super annoying.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope the boilerman comes soon so you get it sorted and great you are feeling better. Sounds like a lot of medical stuff going on. It will be a pain switching practices and going into a different (country) but hopefully it will all work out but you will need to choose your next GP wisely.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Glad you are starting to feel a bit better. Porridge and soup are both great choices when you haven't fancied eating much. When I was poorly as a child my Nan would put a boiled potato in the middle of a bowl of tinned chicken soup and I would mash it into the soup. Sounds a bit yuk but was filling and not too rich.3

Get well soon. I also have huge amounts of phlegm within an hour of when I eat dairy (and then eczema arrives in a few days if I keep on eating it) .. so i generally cut it out as much as possible and within a few days I can breath again. My allergy arrived later in life - it can just turn up - mine was after having pneumonia. I literally start coughing up and out phlegm when I eat dairy its awful.
MY DN went to an allergy consultant as a small kid and he said that dairy allergies often dont come up in testing - which it didnt for her but stopping dairy solved the problems. The only way to do it is cut it out for a while and see if you feel better -
Pineapple is good for cutting out mucus in your system 'The bioflavonoid bromelain in pineapple is a proteolytic enzyme (meaning it breaks down proteins). It is thought to boost immune function and has anti-inflammatory properties which help to open up the airways.'
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I didn't know that about pineapple so thank you.

Glad you're feeling a little better.
The purifier is a good buy and you'll feel the benefits.
Worry about finding a GP after you move, just stock up beforehand and remember people rarely leave reviews when happy.
Good luck with the appointments next week and try to relax and rest the weekend.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Thanks Skint, TG, Blackcats, MF, LWAP and BM
Will investigate the pineapple. Brain power has been better today - but so glad I listened to you guys and took time off sick - as I've genuinely spent a lot of the week in bed or snuggled up under the electric blanket on my recliner downstairs.
The boiler guy came - £65 - feels great to have that sorted - and I've already sent a copy of the receipt to the solicitor. So nice that it was budgeted too which takes the pressure off.
Thanks for the vote on the air purifier. I'm hoping it helps. Just putting a blanket over the new sofa in here helped in terms of reducing allergens & related odour. My WFH space smells strongly of the new sofa cushions but avoided that room this week anyway. Hopefully I can get around to measuring the old sofa this weekend and then I'll list it for free and see if it goes. Just not had the energy yet. I need to photograph and measure some other items and see if they go for any £ - and if not the handyman would be a useful back up as he does house clearances.
Just sent £200 to my regular saver. Had £13 in interest roughly from my new ISA. It all helps. I should be able to clear the cost from my December pay, but it will make January tighter - unless I sell other things.
Have a good weekend all. Thanks as ever for the support and encouragement.
